He's pretty good-looking, and he sounds like he's having a lot of fun, but the gravelly voice doesn't suit him.

Tartaglia's voice is amazingly versatile. You realise that after hearing him as Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q, Pinnocchio in Shrek and doing this accent. He's incredibly talented.

Love Johnny, but I think his accent is a bit harsh sounding, if that makes sense. He does well, I guess I was just hoping for a tad more. Of course, my expectations are always too high so maybe I'm just being silly.

Yeah, it's a little nasely. But he's so adorable, and really shines when he belts, like at "those good old days are gone"! Besides, French accents are hard to begin with, and Johnny did a great job!  If only there was a video recording of him as Lumiere!
