  • Love your video,i was a gay mormon too.So glad to see you happy.

  • Are you planning on making more videos? cuz I'd totally subscribe....

  • You said it perfectly! I can totally relate! Only it took me 45 years to finally realize the truth and remove my name from the church. For me it was like the biggest burden had been lifted from me and now I'm free to live and choose my own path. I love not living a lie anymore and feeling the pressure to conform. Thanks for sharing!

  • Best testimony ever.

  • Is he reading notes?

  • @ShastaCohen no. I had an outline. I wanted to do it one take because I don't know how to edit video.

  • In "the bosom of Zion?" Come on, now......

  • @ShastaCohen that's how Mormons refer to it sometimes as a joke. Others refer to it as the Zion Curtain Depends who you talk to.

  • tht was v gd well done xx

  • Good for you, I'm glad that you found happiness and wish you and your partner many long years together. Coming from a religious family can be difficult. When my Catholic mother found out that I was gay, she wanted to have me see a shrink. I had a wonderful woman from church that was the same age as my mother and she helped me deal with being gay and Catholic. Now, I've been with my partner for almost 19yrs. My mother had to accept it as I'm the only one of her children that's married(in Europe).

  • That was an amazing video :)

  • this was really great thanks :)

  • Thank you for sharing..This was so brilliant and amazing...so beautiful...all the best to you, your partner and your family...

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  • I saw your profile on corinvictus. I was going to go on the hike on saturday but was sick! Thanks for making this video!

  • wow you are so lucky i am a gay baptist and i told my mom and she really wants to send me to therapy she even told me that God didnt answer my prayer to be straight because i wasnt good enough so idk can yall pray for further acceptance by her please and thanx

  • Congratulations J Seth, I hope that your courageous actions and deep honesty are an inspiration to those in your inherently conservative community, and to gay people the world over. What an empowering discovery to realise that your prayers to be "fixed" were unnecessary and that you are perfect the way you are. That guy who made your heart sing is very lucky!

  • Thank you all for your kind comments. I really appreciate it. Together we can change the world.

  • Good for you, brother. I hope you are met with open-hearts and open-minds and that you inspire more to do the same.

  • J Seth, you are absolutely astounding - so unassuming, assured, and articulate, so without rancor, and so resolute in your determination to find your place in a system that would ( and did ) exclude you. Your message is inspirational, and I am infinitely happy for you that you have found the person you deserve, and happy also that your parents are what one would expect, having a son like you. Best wishes !!! Norm

  • This is amazing! you are so strong and your story is so powerful!

  • Good job Jseth! Clearly positive without pleading for justification or trying to establish yourself as a resource to advise others. Thanks.

  • I'm LDS and let me say that I admire your courage! I really struggled with this whole issue being a member of the church and not understanding this whole is of marriage equality. I really didn't understand how gay people can go straight to hell just because they are gay. But that's not true! God will judge us for what's in our hearts, and more people who aren't gay but judge those who are, have more of a chance to go there then you!

  • My heart aches. YOU ARE NOT NOW, NOR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN, AN ABOMINATION. Romans 1:26 has a totally different meaning within the context of the entire chapter. Pulling single lines out of context is, at best, theologically irresponsible; at worst, it defiles God's message. Call me a liberal-radical seminary student... but... it infuriates me that any group claiming to be Christian would perpetrate such theological violence in His name. Anyway, two thumbs up for your beautiful bravery!

    Ciao Bello!

Simply breathtaking Jseth , my friend and brother! I too was subject to the same dehumanizing "Bigotry and Slander" in G-Ds' name as a young "Out Boy" many years ago, culminating in a boy I had loved taking his own life! After being clobbered over the head by our society as a whole, with "Mosaic Law" , Leviticus 18:22 specifically, and the Epistles of Paul!

  • @jseth1981 I resolved to study "Theology", including Ancient Near Eastern Languages, even the "Koine Greek" that Paul would have spoken and written in! I was appalled to discover the "Liberties" that were taken in many, especially 19thc. translations of Biblical texts! Though I cannot presume, I sense that the love your parents and grandparents have for you, which I believe emanates from G-D, took a remarkably divergent path from some of the long held tenants of their faith!
