Ppl the optimus v is a wonderful phone.however VIRGIN MOBILE SUCKS MONKEY BALLS.the customer service is no help.they can speak English barely but DONT UNDERSTAND IT. @gh12244 root it and install a custom rom. Harmonia 1.6 for example. its really not hard at all to do this. and you'll get much better battery life.  Another couple things you can do. After you boot, turn on Airplane Mode for 20 seconds, then turn it back off. This corrects a bug in the Android software. The last thing is download Juice Defender from the market. Let it toggle 3G off when the screen is off. If you need data to sync set it for every 30 minutes.

Just got it, and had to activate with a live assistant through Skype. No bars, no connection whatsoever. Tried to connect to my home wifi and it just keeps showing "connecting... disconnected".
