@Tamanozke could you make a video on how to convert a nsv file to a file type able to be posted on youtube? I would love to put some videos up of me playin some games on nestopia
Yea the controls take time to get used to. You have to REALLY take advantage of going in reverse.
Also, upgrading your gun damage affects the damage of your bombs/homing shots too. The first boss is VERY easy if you get your guns upgraded by about two. Only takes a few shots. Try that if you're stuck. :)
You gotta admit for an unlicensed game it's pretty dang good, and very fun once you get the hang of things.
Oh, and difficulty setting actually makes the enemies harder. :)
I'm dead serious. Tengen made some pretty good unlicensed games for the system. This and their rendition of Tetris are awesome! (Better than NIntendo's)
By another company Death Race seems like an alright unlicensed game too. Though the company that did that one also did a port of another game that made me puke. Absolutely brutal and gory and definitely not for the faint of heart. Even for modern gaming standards!
Unlicensed game makers didn't have to worry about Nintendo's approval. :/
Oh yes, I used to have that tetris on one of my 10000000000 in 1 cartridges when I had Famicom. Nintendo pretty muchly screwed Tengen over by buying the license to tetris and forcing Tengen's version out of the shelfs if I do recall right.
It's easy once you learn how to maneuver around and that the weapon power upgrade also applies to secondary weapons. (You can take down the bosses super fast and easily with minimum damage if you up your weapon damage and buy lots of bombs early)
I also no-missed the game on Hard (didn't record) where the enemies take four times more shots to kill and they move and shoot much faster. It's not a very known fact that Hard mode does more than make you start off later in the game.
Thanks for the reply. Once I've beaten a few more games I'll go back to this one AND make a video for you to watch. Maybe I can do just as good as you.
the game was alright....it would be better if it didnt waste gas so much but over all for a unlicenced game it was good....but superman 64 was licenced so i can be wrong....but seriously if you compare this to a crappy game then it would kick ass
The gas issue is barely noticeable with practice. You just gotta be quick and know how to efficiently move around. That's all.
Though, the bosses are cheap in the NES version since they were meant to be faught with the ability to turn your canon like in the arcade version. Bosses are much easier then. (Also the arcade version is a million times better! Try Part 2! Seriously! It rocks! NES one don't compare!)
Yeah. Superman 64 is terrible. :/
I love this game so it already kicks ass for me. ;)
Interesting title. Does a hit take away on fuel when you have no shields? And is Shots your shot level or a collection of strong shots?
Tengen, for me, was always a mixed bag. They published good games like Devil Crash MD, Gauntlet IV, Slap Fight MD (bonus points for the name), and GrindStormer/V-V, and then they birthed turds like Pit-Fighter and Dragon's Revenge. This doesn't look too bad though. I'm definitely going to see the other videos of this.
Fuel goes down regardless of whether you have shield or not. Shield drastically limits the amount of damage you take though. No shields vs. bosses and you're dead.
Shot is the count of homing shots, a secondary fire. In the next video you'll notice it switch to "bomb" with the press of the select button. You get two secondary fires, the bomb being devastating against everything.
And yeah, I see what you mean. It ain't ALL good from Tengen, but compare them to the other unlicensed companies. :)
found this game for like 3 bucks in a record shop today :3

@botshire3: Get Camtasia Studio or Fraps and record the screen while the NSV file replays in the emulator.

Why is it only now that I found these vids of your walkthrough after I uploaded my review of this game? lol
Anyway, nice walkthrough. This is a pretty fun game once you get use to the controls.

Ah gotchya.
I heard of that. Didn't the company that made that cart also remove Tengen's name from the title screen?
And yes, that was the story. :)
