It's been a while I'm interested in the use of "everyday" tools as weapons, especially european pole tools. So cool vid for demonstrating it.
Though I'm not found of these asiatic styled kata like movements. Weapons are not dancing implements. I'm sure one of those blows, even with an helmet or armor, still do some damage, or at least makes the opponent step back. But defending with it's not the same. A vid of using this arm as it should have been would be better, against someone. Thumbup thoug
Doesn't look like those strikes would hurt. Not enough force behind them, but I guess if you did put force behind them you would risk amputating yourself.
@YouAreAllMaggots Yup, it's actuall a lil heavier than most of its wushu used cousins cause it's actually carbon steel. Even the handle was made out of harder maple. With its weight you can't wield it fast like those light flimsy wushu props.
I could force it and make it realistic (I'm sure making battle cries would do a whole lot), but I was just in a very relaxed mood.
@sergeantdragon Probably the just in the sense that it's not a real weapon (just a garden tool :p) and there are no spartans around you that you're decapitating. It was really just for lack of better word.

Screw the haters; I still say this is awesome. Especially when you set it to metal (which I am currently listening to as the video goes on). :P
