i say i'ts 85 -86 beyond by the way new york already elevated moves you only judge from beat street the real streets were much advanced but you can tell, cus you a media oriented person never the less this excellent footage of mid 80 to say
i've seen a lot of old b-boy footage from nyc and i've never seen any new york b-boy from the 80's doing moves like flares, halos, airtracks or any other type of air move like air force crew from l.a...plus i met crazy legs of rocksteady crew at b-boy summit 99 and even he said that the west coast b-boys were doing moves that weren't done by any ny b-boy..ny heads were more into footwork, uprocking while l.a. heads were more into putting style with powermoves, so trust me im not media oriented
head tracks - first develop bi icey ice- 1984beat street thomas flairs (kurt thomas 1984 olympics) top headspins kid freeze dynamic breakers perfected by Bboy float (krush Groove) 1986. ufo's airborne dynamic breakers & lil alex president show nyc breakers' wacth my videos this video it's not 1984 cus kurt did not introduce them yet, wanna be real wacth head tracks done
in 1984 wacht my videos,& stop the vulchering of history.
A-for starters you are scavengin, as soon as you see someone doing a flair or some fairly good headspins you righaway say there were better than NYC'B- you willin to take a third party's opinion how you know the dude wasn't bias, C-you werent there like i was & seen better moves back then than i see on this tape'& another you ask crazy what? that dude is known as a hater from east to west! he it's totally bias have you seen
him callin out lil cesar agains easy rock' sorry you are lost.
"as soon as you see someone doing a flair or some fairly good headspins you righaway say there were better than" first off, how did i even say that or imply that idea? second, who do you even think you are? some b-boy historian?? seems like ur getting offended over a minor statement
i mearly responsable with my statements & i feel everyone should be, it's ok not to know but to blindly comment i feel everyone should be held accoundable & yeah we all part of history therefore historians in our own rigth' peace.
Bro, Float was doing 100s of continuous headspins in 1984. Airtracks were normal in 1984. What you see in beat Street was taped in winter of 83. You can't judge what you see there from what other crews were already doing. Even in Beat Street Icey Ice is doing airtracks and they were def from 83.
Bro, I am in the video breakdancing and I know when it was shot early 1984!...we were doing some of these moves in late 1983. I edited this footage in 1989...and just recently dusted it off and posted it here for all to see....peace!
nice underground footage 83-85 were the best years all around the world i used to wacth lots of incredible live breakin we did not have much videos doe but like i sayed in ny we know about cats doing double digit's ninethies & trac combos with flairs usin bare hands ' cus as the master would say no diciples can exceed thier masters only hope to be his iqual peace.
yeah man gold' you know i was the incredible breakers sore of agent that nigth at stardust ballroom when they battle nyc breakers & won but icey wasn't there neither pex lep & flip, but thing is this battle was recorded
and it will show up one day' imagen Float vs lil alex & the two chinos from going head to head.
summer 86' i think if this tape gets out it's over for the blasfemos heads out here!
but who cares i know what i know & i could live with that! peace
Hopefully the tape will get out so everyone can see what is was like back then. Its a shame that all people get to see is Beat Street and think that that was all there was. They don't realize there were much sicker and better moves back then.
first off i never said that ny bboys didn't do power moves like flares, halos, airtracks, etc.. all i said was that it was rare to see those moves done in the east coast back then, i'm not from ny so i dont know everything, all i said was that west coast bboys mainly were in to doing powermoves when the dance crossed over, but if there is any footage around from 1982 of ny bboys bustin' out advanced moves i would like to see it
First off, LA didn't really pick up on a lot of moves until later on. In 1983 there were definitely airtracks, flares and continues headspins in NY (I saw it). You can even see Style Wars from 1982 and see Kid Freeze do continues headspin, which is considered a powermove. Trust me, NY was way ahead, the problem was that a lot of crews and individuals who were dope didn't get the fame like RSC & NYC Breakers.
oh yeah i remember that scene, it was pretty dope.. it just seemed like most nyc heads, not taking anything away from them, were more into uprockin', downrockin', footwork and freezes, and then seeing lots of old footage of rocksteady& nyc breakers, it seemed like all they were in to was windmills, backspin, headspin, turtles, and swipes sometimes 1990s cuz thats all the media would show of ny bboyin' in the 80's, would love 2 see some rare footage if its out there
NYC Breakers and RSC were more footwork crew than other crew. If you went to Roseland or Funhouse you would mostly see powermoves and other combinations. Completely different from the two famous crews. 1985 definitely become even more power moves until breakin' began to fade out in 86.
@nortekiller respect all bboy around the world but respect nYc' just remember this the original will always be the best ' eve4n if the game does evolve
somewhere else it all begun here ' beside not what you see on t.v is what it was '
Nice good to see the effort in editing it some nice moves huh? f@#! i miss my youth when i see shit like this oh well back to paying bills and feeding the kids lol
The way you dubbed the video made it moer interesting. My favorite is seeing no hand head mills and nut cracker windmills being done properly.Very refreshing
Nice moves man

there is only one dud name sico today that
that would match is power, you also know chino chesse then, just remember tapes are out there time will tell!

Seriously, those moves were done by bboys in NY way before it hit the west coast. there is nothing here that wasn't done in 83 in NYC.
