I know it's taboo to admit watching the network news in an all-internet era, but ever since they started using 'celebrity announcers', I can only stand watching the weekend editions, because they seem to be the only ones that resemble traditional broadcasts. I much prefer Holt, Russ Mitchell, and Jeff Glor to Williams and Couric.

You should also note that the staff announcer at the beginning is that of Les Marshak. Compared to Michael Douglas, who does the weekday news report.

Lester Holt would be terrific for CBS. I believe the VO guy on this is Les Marshak. Indeed, much better than the former Inspector Steve Keller.
