If your talking from a technical stand point then sure your right. Hell there are plently of wrestling who in North America who are better than HBK technically. But from an in-ring performance based on drama, drawing a crowd in and telling a compelling story then for me HBK is better than Danielson. His WM matches alone are becoming unique selling points yearly based on their high standards.

If Michaels no-sold the Burning Hammer it would destroy the move's credibility completely, and we'd see Kobashi do 2 or 3 of them every match. It wouldn't be special anymore.

Michaels was never anywhere near as good as Kobashi. Not even now that Kobashi's busted and slow.

The two also wrestle utterly incompatible styles, which never leads to a good match. It'd be a collection of pointless spots with no flow at all.

Not to mention that Michaels wouldn't job to a foreigner. Ever.

In a sense, it is fake. Obviously the danger is extremely real, but in terms of storylines, they are written for the wrestlers. American wrestling is more story driven, with "America" style wrestling. Japan, works a much stiffer style. It's still not "real" just stiff.
