It's true that they don't technically "sign off". They just compile a bunch of shows and commercials, and press a button to keep it going, and everybody goes home.
Wow...they still use the common 80s script for sign-ons and sign-offs, complete with the clumsy, "lawyerese" writing. Kudos to the ops department for still paying tribute to the earlier days of television.

First time I've ever seen a station bug during the National Anthem. I've wanted to see a KTRK sign-on/off announcement--no disappointment here.
