I'm stuck with Idil Biret's version. Hers is so dry of emotion. This interpretation is phenomenal. I'm not even kidding, I think I may have just shed a tear.
There's a healthy portion of rubato, and an enjoyable touch of excitement is present in the climax, all wrapped in a blanket of passionate mannerisms. Gumption is the name of the game ^_^ Well done!
I don't think this could be played any better --- faster possibly, but not better. This young woman plays ALL of these etudes expressively. Her abilities far exceed mere "virtuosity," which she certainly has in great abundance.
Cannot understand why she didn't rank higher in the Chopin Competition, although EVERYONE who reaches the finals there HAS to be superbly equipped to play the instrument.
I played this etude too and I must say it : You have the best interpretation (of this etude) and believe me I heared more then 20 interpretation and You have redate exactly the idea of a butterfly !! Congratulation ! And pls. show us more !!! Bravo !
This is by far one of the most interesting interpretations of this etude. Thanks pianisamet. Btw, if you had a spare minute (and 12 sec), i'd be greatful if you checked out my version of this piece. :)
Haha, love it when people get too into their music to care what weird faces they're making. Beautiful interpretation, best I've found so far on youtube.
most certainly the BEST interpretation I have seen, The octaves are well prenounced and it is extremely clear, fluent playing. A quick tempo is chosen to keep the music flowing, but still, at a tempo that allows the audience to hear and appreciate the sound and sections of the etude.
5/5 an interprator that Chopin himself would be proud of
She's on crack I tell ya! :D

At any rate I just love her!

the chopin competition - at that time,
I remember that she was very sick,
so she failed to control condition at final
--especially piano concerto ,
until semi final , she was included within third rank.
I`m v-----------ery pitiful................(ㅠㅠ)

Very good,
but look out for your head hitting the piano....

All I have to say is.... "Wow."
One of my favorite Chopin etudes, despite the short length.

GREAT!!! Relax 2nd finger in left hand. It won't effect your interpretation and will make things even a little more comfortable.

this lady plays well but must be following the cult of lang lang.. some weird body movements while playing...
