i have an i pod 2ndgeneration and its frozen with an hour glass in the screen.i waited till it ran out of batteries then i charged it and its still like that does anyone know what i should do

congradulations, the edges of your ipod now look like shit

i would strongly advise people from doing this unless its a last resort, jumping the wires like that could result in a short circut, possibly damaging circuts, the hard drive, or any other delicate electronics.

Hold Both of the botton middle and the menu.

hold the play and pause botton.

omd mines frozen right now and the press and hold the menu and centre button aint working... i am not taking it appart, so im gonna wait till the battery dies and recharge it HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK - if not luckly i still have a guarantee....
