i lover to go swimming on my horse. we go to this place called rockwood (its 500acrear that no atv or motor vicles are allowed) and theres a rope and i bring my horse over to it stand on her back and swing off into the lake and then shell follow me and come in the water and ill get on her. it awsome(my horse fallows me everywere

WOO! More sea horses!! =) Its great so see how they enjoy themselves in the water. When my 13 year old gypsy horse goes into the water he changes into a little foal. Nothing gives the horses more pleasure to see their rider getting as wet as they do ;) Equal share lol. Great horses you have and great video.

Aww - I used to love to swim my boys when the river would flood the lower field higher than thier head - so much fun, but then they opened up the river more and no more flooding. No more swimming, but at least our field doesn't flood out anymore.

That is so fun.. Mind you it;s hard staying on them when they are off the ground swimming, Last time I went were it was over their head, I had to hold the tail to "drag back" lol.. While they sink down and swim ahead, I was left floating and stayed back... Too funny.. Not so bad when they can still touch a bit. But real refreshing, my boys love it..

you are wrong. swimming is good workout for horses' muscles and it has also a refreshing effect. and some horses love swimming others don't. and if he decides not to go to water, he definitely won't and you can't make it to go.

I would love to be able to do this with my horse. But he's deathly afraid of water he usually doesn't come within 5ft of it. Well that was when we first got him now he'll come within a foot of it....But that definately look like amazin fun. Definately gonna make him do it this summer...lol

That is so much fun. We use to swim with our horses. Loved it so much. We lived across from a 3,000 acre park. The creek was great and we had a covered bridge we took our horses over so much fun. They loved swimming especially my Wildfire.

Just wanted to let you know that when you are actually swimming with horses an they have no fett on the ground you SHOULD lean forwards! So u dont sit straight up cause then it's heavier for the horse.. But it looks like you guys are having a lots of fun and youre horses looks beautiful!!!

Love the fun. Mine LOVES the water and swims w/ or w/o me. When our pond is to low he stands in the middle screaming at the house like to say Hey look at me. Horses can swim but they need practice just like us. You can 'ride' the swim but its better esp w/ an inexperienced one to 'float' by leaning into the swim, holding the mane and letting the water pick you up. I've seen them drown b/c sob rode in with a tiedown but unless you're sitting on his head 'riding' the swim isn't going to kill him.

You need to get off their backs WHENEVER it's hole neck is under the water. They can drown. Did you know that? I have seen it. Just be careful .. :)
