The timbers and dynamics are positively orchestral, from violin and cello to flute and piccolo, even sensations of church organ and xylophone, and of course the celeste. Add to that the limitless sustain (until they run out of water) and the remnant of a "soft pedaled" note reverberating in the glass, and you have a masterful four-part interpretation and rendition.

This Polish duo (don't know their names) on a well tuned "glass harp" seems (to my ears) to have reached Bach's ideal in sonic perfection. Beyond the amazing, swirling composition itself, it's the instrument I'm drawn to (and those wonderful hands).

has to be a crystal glass to my knowledge.

when you wet the upper ring and rub over it it produces a noise. the fuller or emptyer the glass the higher or lower the sound. allso the sound varys with the size of the glass.
