One way to do it is to use Cosmic Heel, which is down/forward and round house. Should work for both Ultras, and yes, it's pretty challenging.

jesus christ vega's special move are really hard sure try the z trick its gonna failed you but doing his combos man it was bitter sweet when you kick bisons ass with his combos!, overall vega is a good character between bison and him vega is the most hard character i grew up with well i had to admit i kinda failed on special moves

@Necreon021 I actually thought Adon looked really cool, but I just couldn't stand his normals, and his pressure didn't come to me very easily. Vega was the first SFIV character that clicked with me, and the rest is history. I love him!

I'm a Vega player since vanilla SFIV relase, and with almost 3 years of Vega playing behind me, I started to watch guides, and judge them. Which was useful, nicely and logically builded, and I can tell you, most them are a crap. But not yours! The first one I really love is your guide. I'm planning to pick up Adon seriously, aren't you interested in him? I wonder if you would make a video like this, but about Adon...

One interesting thing I learned is that if you time it just right, you can follow the cosmic heel up with a neutral jump hard kick, allowing you to charge as you fall, so that you can easily use EX Sky High Claw. This is risky, but it does pay off if you learn it correctly.

I thought about using Vega, then I checked out how to do his skills. Since I'm using a keyboard, he is nearly impossible to play, just like so many other characters that require a two-directional upward motion attack.

@Webberjo Playing with keyboard too, and it's much more difficult for me to play Ryu instead of Vega. Of course I can say this easily because I main him, but it's not impossible, once you are done with learning how to do charge specials for sure, you'll start to build up your game with just playing. Your charge timing, using the time for the best you can do in that time, stuff like that, you'll improove yourself in time. Trust me, I builded my Vega without any guide, and (*shy*) I mastered him.

@Necreon021 Funny you'd say that because I find characters like Ryu the easiest to use with a keyboard. I've gotten a little better with Vega with some motion experimenting, and now the hardest for me to use are T. Hawk and Zangief. Two full circles are near impossible to pull off.

Nice video, raised my Vega IQ by quite a bit, both in using him and seeing how skilled players are owning me, after playing him I see how some of his moves can be countered and as you said, once crossovers start it's game over.

Quick question - which stick are you using in the PiP to show the moves? I've watched the video a few times now, but only on my iPhone...it looks like the red Madcatz tourney stick, but I've also seen people place high quality print images under the top plate on the H

@benomarbaomar1 Yea, Vega is still my main in AE, although he definitely isn't as good (cr. M got nerfed). The best way to do the Splendid Heel into Scarlet Terror is to immediately move the stick from the down forward position to the down back position right after you hit the heavy kick button for Splendid Heel. The best advice I can give you is that you have more time than you think, and conditioning yourself to naturally go to down back after Splendid Heel is a great idea.

if you dont mind sharing, can you tell me how you use flying barcelona attack almost instantly like around 3:36 ? its as if youre not charging the down direction at all...

@Superduperpeoples I'm not sure I see what you're talking about, unless you're referring to the fact that I hold down back instead. All of Vega's charge moves can be charged by holding down back, down, or down forward. The best way to do this is to just hold down back as soon as you leave the ground, therefore buffering the charge input and allowing you to do any of his charge moves the second you land, or in the middle of a string.

@KenAdamsNSA oooooh okay, so youre saying i gotta start charging in the beginning of an air combo the second i hit the ground, right? sometimes i just jump up and kick while i do that instead of the flying barcelona attack .__. i used to lose every single online match ive played as vega (hes the only one i have any intention of learning/playing) but recently ive picked myself up and ive been winning a bunch of matches. i went on like a 8 or 9 winning streak. are you on xbox or ps3?

One of the best Character Spotlight I've ever seen, including all existing games. Nicely builded video (normals -> specials -> combos -> how to behave), nice voice (^^) everybody loves listen to, and nice gameplays, not just random shit. I play Vega since SFIV relase on PC (waitin for AE...), but you could how me something new. Since a year, somehow I lost my mobility with Vega and always sitting, waiting for what will my opponent do, and this is the worst thing Vega can do.
