Minoru Mukaiya is still producing. But, that's the key word. PRODUCING. The last time I saw him play "Asayake" was with an Amateur Casiopea Cover band, as a Guest Keyboardist. I LOLd when I found out the actual keyboardist of that group has the same name as T-Square's Sax player. They're both named Takeshi Itoh. XD

He's definitely cool! But I'm afraid that much like other fusion players, his tone is all coming out of effects pedals. It would be so much better if he used a pure tube tone at least for the lead parts. I can see effects for rhythm parts. But lead needs to be tube IMHO!

Santana has a few chord progressions that he knows how to solo against. He could never follow the chord changes. He tries to play everything by ear and is uneducated musically. All of the heart anda "feeling" in the world won't help you when you're playing in the wrong key! LOL!

Just because he chooses to play a few notes or progressions doesn't mean that he can't play anything else. You don't think B.B. king can only play blues guitar, right? He may not play in this kind of style or complexity, but just because he doesn't, it doesn't mean he can't.
