  • I remember back then him being on TV singing this ... gotta love Hank

  • Enjoyed it! Thx 4 posting!

  • sonofgun, we're gonna have some fun on the bayou!

  • good stuff...great music. i Like it.

  • Jr. should have stayed with the old stuff.

  • I'm my own grandpa.

  • Goodness. How he has changed.

  • I'm glad he found his own style. Hank SR was great for his time and Hank JR

(Randall Hank Williams) is great for our times.

  • @farscapebabe I agree,Hank Jr is a great performer in his own right.

  • this is my grandpas' brother and when i was six years old or so... i remember having to go to airport to wave good-bye to him as he boarded plane... ssry but this was neat to find this on you-tube so i can see who he is and his music!!!!

  • @pmwagonera123 Hank Jr. is your Great Uncle and you haven't heard his music before?

  • @Gatorrock787 no... sorry... porter wagoner is my granpas brother... i met him when i was 6 yrs old.... but at that age i guess i could of cared less except playing... and when i waved good-bye at airport to him was last time i saw him... my grandparents passed away around that time was placed with guardians. srry to comment .i was just excited looking at porter wagoner show... his music ... and knowing that he was somewhat famous...

  • @pmwagonera123 oh no problem. That's pretty cool. I've posted lots of videos of Porter and his band actually singing. He was not just "Somewhat Famous". Porter was a country music superstar.

  • @pmwagonera123 Yeah...Porter Wagoner was somewhat famous! "LOL" I saw him live at the grand ole Opry many moons ago.

  • you know to my understanding, his mother wanted him to be his father, but he wanted his own style and found it.

  • he needs to go back to those roots

  • what year did bocephes fall of that moutain

  • @galaxie63punk 1973

  • He looked like he wasn't even out of his teens here.He was getting old enough to do what he wanted, he wasn't arrogant you damn bastard. He was born Randall Hank Williams, but his mother changed it to Hank Williams, Jr.

  • Yep thats Bocephus, Awesome,Thanks for Sharing Gatorrock!!!

  • Why is he singing his daddie's tunes instead of his own?

  • @Mufaso1000 That's how he started out, singing his Daddy's songs.

  • @mstate62 : Good answer, my friend, good answer. He looks to be in his early twenties here, if that. I thought maybe his mom or manager would want him to get away from singing Hank Sr. songs.

  • put a beard and some shades on him and it's definately hank jr. some people just don't know good music without all the flash of mainstream on it.

  • i actually like this version of jambalaya better than the hank sr. version. and im not a big fan of hank jr but he does a good job on that one

  • This performance occurred before Hank Jr. began arrogantly thinking that his legendary father's name and reputation had nothing to do with his own success. Did you know that Hank Jr.'s name isn't even "Hank"? It's Randall, and he changed it to "Hank" yet wants to act like he made a successful music career entirely "on his own." I guarantee that Hank Sr. threw songs in the trash that were far superior to the crap pumped out of Nashville these days.

  • This was Hank Jr while he was still doing his fathers stuff. Audrey, his mother, use to make him do it...later on Hank Jr grew tired and wanted to do "his" music, with no disrespect to his father. This is also before he had his accident and fell off of the mountain...

  • Are people just plain dumb? If you're going to criticize things, at least know what you are talking about. Jr sang his daddy's songs for ages. People only think about what he looks like now. He was good back then but you see why he didn't want to do it anymore

  • What year is this?

  • Oh yes this is Hank Jr. Some cut him down but I say Hank Sr. named him so that's good enough for me.

  • without a doubt Hank Jr before he fell off a mountain...

  • this is young hank jr. before his accident on the mountain and after the plastic surgery he had another look!

  • This is Hank Jr and if you dont think it is your not a true fan

  • It is MOST certainly Hank Jr..This was before his accident. He now wears a beard and the sun glasses because of the damage the fall caused to his face. But it is him. :)

  • @CobraVenom75 I've seen pictures of him without the glasses and the hat, he looks alright even without them. :)

  • it’s hank jr. alright.

  • Yep, Hank Jr. Used to collect his records. He grew the beard after falling down the mountain out west.

  • "I'd like to, it's called 'Jambalaya'".....if you can't tell that's JR's voice, son, something is wrong.

  • @redsoxfaniam have you been drinking?

  • You're right, that's not Hank Sr. It's Hank Jr.

  • @redsoxfaniam Its Hank Jr. alright.this is him before he gave up singing his dad;s song and fell off that cliff that changed the way he looked

  • @redsoxfaniam this is hank wlliams jr, before he fell of the mountain and changed hs music style. look for the ronnie profit show here on you tube and it wll show hanks first performance after the accident. there he has the beard hat and glasses and his music style changed ronnie profit talks abt. it .. for your nformation

  • @redsoxfaniam LMAO.....You are right it's not Hank Sr. it is Hank Jr.

  • @redsoxfaniam Uhhh! No Shit!

  • @redsoxfaniam That was Hank JR. Senior was Dead long before this video.

  • @redsoxfaniam dumb ass it says hank jr and so does porter

  • @redsoxfaniam you're right!!! it's his son Bocephus

  • I remember seeing this when it aired on TeeVee. Yep Jr took a lot of heat when he strayed off the reservation

  • This is a very young Hank Jr..

  • THIS IS HANK!

  • @MrRex41591 Thanks for defending the honor of the video.

  • It's good to see him in this era, not long after his own father departed. It's also sad to see this formerly exciting and talented performer turn into the alcoholic, gun-totin' right wing, racist redneck that he's become. I don't suppose it's been an easy life trying to walk in the shoes of the king of country music, but I have a hard time listening to his Tea Party rants these days.

  • @signjay great video,keep it country

  • @signjay The problem is not his right wing fellings. its people like you who don't have a clue

  • @signjay I tote guns, I am right wing and I have enough sense to know where the term "redneck" came from. A redneck is an original DEMOCRAT coal miner from the last century. They word red bandanas around their neck so they would know each other when they tried to murder federal agents who stopped their rebellion. Yeah, thats right...a DEMOCRAT is a redneck. A DEMOCRAT also started the KKK and a REPUBLICAN freed the slaves. Go back to school and get educated....not edjerkated, as you are now.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE I sure wouldn't be be bragging about being a Republiturd. Yes you freed the slaves and caused the Civil War. Big Deal. I proud to be a Southern Christian Democrat! It was the Democrats that kept the Negros out of white schools as long as they could. Now look at our school systems across America. No discipline, blacks wearing pants below their but crack and worst of all, the white girls are falling in love with the black man's big penis they brag about. Are you still proud?

  • @lyerlyman Finishing grade school and finding real Christianity....look into both. All you are now is some uneducated satanist baby killing supporter who carries around a large sack of stupid on your back that you pull from. If you want, I can type slower so you can read it and comprehend. Let me know if it helps, boy.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE No, I don't support baby killing, abortion, homos etc. I also don't support cutting medicare, social security and other program that help people who can't help themselves just to make the billionaires wealthier at the poor mans expense. Jesus Christ said and I quote "How hard it is for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God" unquote.

  • @lyerlyman Jesus said that "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into Heaven." Thats the quote you're trying to make but failed. He also said "thou must be saved." He also said II Timothy 2:4 Having a form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof, from such turn away. If you're a democrat, you support what democrats believe in...and that is killing babies, homos and having no morals. Your words give away your true heart. Case closed.

  • I never realized he can REALLY sing ! That is the best singing I've ever heard by anybody on Jambalaya. Lots of feeling on Cheatin' Heart too. Wow, Bocephus.

  • God Willie and hank really let themselves go

  • I reckon its about time that these legendary performances were put onto dvd. I love this early Bocephus footage.

    Thumbs up if you agree

  • Oh, he sounded so much like his daddy back then. Thanks for posting this!
