Your picking technique isn't quite right. You're supposed to anchor your palm on the bridge. Most people have trouble with that though, hence most people don't play with a pick or they opt for a smaller scale bass.
Your fretting hand is doing good work, I just wanted to give you a tip for your picking hand.
@Knarf009 yeah, I kind of noticed I was doing it differently than most people after quite a while, but I've grown used to doing it this way... Normally people pick below the pickups right? I've seen some bassists that pick like me, like Pete Wentz (just an example). Thanks though.
@lastoftheAZNGIRLS Yeah, at the bridge which is always behind the last pickup. The way you do it is ok, it's more comfortable that way, but the proper way is better for speed and makes you more precise.
Also, you should do a Minute Men cover sometime :D

@Knarf009 yeah, I tried playing it properly once and... yeah it didn't work :/ Minute Men are great :D I'll try :)

@lastoftheAZNGIRLS Yeah, it's hard on my bass because it's extra long. It's a Gothic Thunderbird, which among being heavy also has a longer neck.
In any case, keep on keepin' on and I'll keep my eyes peeled for that Minute Men cover! ;D

@Knarf009 I use to pick like her before I converted to the fingers, I think the way she picks is easier then the "Normal Way"........ Nice cover!!!!!

@Knarf009 bullshit, there is no "proper" picking technique.
