I waking up one Saturday morning and watching this show. They gave a good review to WWF Super Wrestlemania and I wanted it so bad. My grandparents happened to be in town and later that day, through whining and crying, I got the game.
Lets just say I was doing even more whining and crying after I played it!
And for those of us too cheap to buy the magazines, a pen and an old receipt did the trick... I remember my dad and I copying many a game tip from these magazines.
Wow that's a trip down memory lane. In this entire shows history did they ever give any game a 1 rating? Seemed like even the shittiest games they would rate always ended up getting at least a 3.
Pssh, it's just not the same without the other guy, the one with the wild hair. What happened to him? From what I remember as a 3rd grader, JD Roth was kind of the "laid-back" guy, while Wild-Haired Guy was kind of the "WHOOOAAA XXX-TREEM TUBULAR DUDE" type.
I remember this show as a kid. But any real Mega Man gamer worth his salt wouldn't need either adapter. I finished the game as a kid without these adapters, then after I saw this episode I was pissed off that they existed. It would have made things easier. Oh well.
They repeated the tips so you don't have to backtrack/rewind. It's also possible they assumed no one would record these episodes, and then watch em later.
I need too see it 4 times, 1# GamePro is like a dream come true 2# just wanna be with GamePro 3# GamePro its plain to see that your the only one for me and 4# repeat steps 1 through 3 with GamePro
I find it Ironic because there are many games on here that are on the Virtual Console. Get them all, including Super Castlevania IV, the best SNES Game.
Why do they repeat the phone number during infomercials so much? There wasn't gamefaqs back then, kids (like me) used to watch this to get codes and stuff, if you missed part of it they went back so you could jot it down.
send it in. lol. now everyone just emails. there is no point for magazines or shows anymore though. the internet has the latest news unlike the video game generation of yesteryears
Christ, why do they have to show everything twice? Did they think we couldn't get it the first time? I guess people were stupid back then. Either that or they were just eating up time.
That totally brings back alot of awesome memories! I didn't even remember that show until just now, thanks for recording these and putting them up here dude!! ^^
He didn't return. Not after JD went solo. But, he did show up on Gamepro in 1993, when they were doing 45 minute VHS tapes of the show, but it was all tips and tricks. B-man appears in a promotional spot for Gamepro during the tape, and is playing a game that he was losing before, then gets sucked into the game, and yells "help", and a gamepro magazine "shield" appears, and he defeats the game, and yells "you gotta get a Gamepro". That's the last time you ever see the B-Meister.
The incredibly white J.D. Roth not only gave us the '2 legit' move (with the wrong hand, mind you, giving us a reverse L), he then said "Peace, we outta here" followed by that Arsenio Hall fist move. Damn, my man was intent on going through all the early 90's hip hop slang he could do in the last few seconds of that episode. It's too bad the show wasn't on for at least one more year, then he could've thrown in a "Whoop, there it is!" reference if he wanted to.
Notice how they kept showing the first level only? I hope there's more episodes left. Have you scanned through the tape to see if it's all Gamepro? I hope to see some episodes I didn't know about, cause I had a lot of them.
"OK, this show is running a little short, so we're going to show you how to do a crappy trick twice in a row."

Funny how its called game PRO, but in the video game demos the person playing isn't very good.
For example, see how many enemies the player hits in megaman. Oh yeah, real PRO.
