  • my fave

  • daaamn hell yes, thank you for the upload!!! shit!!

  • hay just throwing these names out there: Mr. Lif, Binary Star, The Roots.

  • still dope as hell, but how you call it old school is beyond me...

  • This song gets me laid every time.

  • Anyone know what song this song samples?

  • sry but this is not old school!!!!!

  • too many comments not enough listening.

    Emotionupdateanyone>?

  • One person is a Soulja fanboy douche.

  • Wtf this sample is also in my favorite house song. Coincidence?

  • Love this song, love Gift of Gab! He always speaks the truth, his beats are dope, and his flow is incredible. I wish more people would use their talents to produce music like this.

  • @StanSama not many people have these talents bro haha! your right his flow and beats are great.

  • @unclespazface haha true that!

  • HIP HOP

  • im a huge fan of gab, he is easily one of the most gifted emcee's ever yet when he come to bristol in england i watched his show and there were about 50 people in a dingy little club. he looked a bit dissapointed but put on a great show

  • I remember buying this cd at Strawberry's in Manchester,NH before they all shut down. Nothing like this has ever graced my ears since then.

  • deliciously straight to the point and no cheese

  • This has become one of my favorite albums ever.

  • @honkeytot mine too, I listen to it almost everyday =] I'm trying to be able to recite it and maybe one day cover one of his songs. That would be an honor.

  • Why you gotta dis on immortal technique? hes a badass are you kidding me? surely not the greatest but im sure hed fuck ur shit up in a verse. keep ur eyes open man. and be more fucking creative with your insults.

  • Agreed, just cause he's on a secondary label of a major label doesn't make him a sell-out.

I know why he's dissing on Immortal Tech, cause he saw him on TV for like 2 seconds. It cannot be because of his rhymes.

  • @tftmc I didnt even know that. What label i might need to check this out. Sellouts...everywhere. Immortal technique doesnt ryhme mainstream, doesnt mean he could secretly be getting hella bank and being foney. All im sayin is I like a good amount of his tracks, and to call someone who you completely do not know a fag is soooo ignorant.

  • @fvxLaRage I hear ya, but this is the internet, lots of ignorant morons with lots of time.

  • gift of gab, cunninlynguists, jedi mind tricks 'nuff said (no immortal tech, he's a fag)

  • omg i could smoke all day to this song

  • Hot Track!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't even know how to describe this.... it's sincere music about trying to hit on a girl, in a sophisticated manner.

Every time I hear this I can't help but smile

  • Enjoy this classic and check out my other ones... I only upload classics.

  • na son you can't hate on tech 9. underground or not you have to give him props. Boy sold 1 million albums as an independent label. had the 3rd most money raised from concerts behind jay z and kanye last year. That is dope and he did and does this all on his own. PROPS

  • What does he say in the chorus?

    "Truly I wanna really ... ?"

  • "truly i wanna really deeply get to know you"

  • Beautiful song...

  • j.mop... half of thoese...possibly more, are so far from underground its rediculous... Though theyre pretty much all great artists.

  • fuck tech 9 you noob. and atmosphere and murs aint so underground anymore.grouch and eli are on there way there too.

  • i used to think 9 was sick till i learnt bout hip hop lol i like his noises tho! atmosphere are just so fuckin white and geeky anywayz...sall about phi life, immortal tech, BIG FUKIN L...necro is an ill producer but hes a wrong'un..jedi mind & la coka r sick.

  • haha sounds like hes saying i wanna get below you

  • this is old school at it's finest, every track on the album's a tune and a half.

fuck your soulja boy's and your lil wayne's,

how is this man not as famous as those clowns?

  • so true! I definitely agree with Higginz....lol those clowns....I love this song

  • "how is this man not as famous as those clowns?"

Because his art puts established authority and privilege under scrutiny, and that doesn't follow a propaganda model of mainstream media (including record companies). I mean, you can tell there is a huge intellectual discrepency between conscious, underground hip-hop and that shit on the radio.

  • @Higginz1991 Cause he speaks with an open mind and possibly of the truth. Oh, there goes his account.

  • @Higginz1991 good question

  • @Higginz1991 why would you want him to be as famous as those clowns anyway?? thats the beauty of underground yet true hip hop.

  • @Higginz1991 As famous as those clowns ? Naaah, he should be MORE famous than those lil' clowns !

  • @Higginz1991 Mass appeal, don't blame these clown rappers, blame our society.

  • I'm 14 years old, I'm from Poland, and I'm listening only trueschool music ;) Not fuckin' G-Unot, but Gang Starr, Nas etc

Pozdro dla wszystkich polaków, co słuchają tej piosenki.

  • well this is good music for that "trueschool" music like nas and gangstarr some other good rappers like that would be Group Home, AZ, K-Os, and Jay-Z

  • i wouldn't put K-Os in any category with those rappers

  • Im glad that your perspective of hip hop is not whats out there now...check out Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Stephen the Levite, Common, etc...

  • get some murs and the grouch and deff big L

  • r.i.p. big L

  • go underground. nas is weak now

  • dont forget immortal technique

    and sound providers

    and people under the stairs

    atmosphere too

  • I'm 15, from Kentucky & I only bump the underground. Gift of Gab, Termanology, Silent Knight, Organized (Pharoahe Monch & Prince Po) , Wu-Tang, Black Milk, Bishop Lamont, D-Sisive, Strange Fruit Project, Shawn Jackson, Immortal Tech, Blame One, Murs, Charles Hamilton, Rhymefest, Wale, Kruse, Theory Hazit, Devine Carama, Blu & Exile, Camp Lo, Gang Starr, KRS-One, Jay Electronica, Slum Village, Madlib, Lord Finesse, Big L, MF DOOM, Jake One, Jeru, Nas, The Alchemist, Earatik Statik, & OC. All day!

  • Good list a lot of my favorites and a lot Im gonna have to check out.

  • wow. Why you took time to list those i TRULY have no idea

  • add tech n9ne to that list, throw wiz khalifa on there too.. tech old school underground.. wiz new underground.. but fire list. ill have to check some out too

  • Um...you skipped Del The Funky Homosapien, my friend.

Also check out MC Frontalot and Optimus Rhyme. Nerdcore counts as underground, right?

  • I only have 500 characters to type with so I had limited space. And I have the Deltron 3030 LP so I'd never ignore Del. Psyche Origami, Kewl, Young Dre, Glasses Malone, Illa J, Soul Position, Little Brother, Kidz in the Hall, Count Bass D, Mickey Factz, Gemstones, and La Coka Nostra are some other fly artists. The list goes on and on.

  • Holy shit, you have a good music taste! Rare to see someone younger than me who listens to underground hip hop like this.

  • thanks for introducin me to strange fruit project, man. my new favorite group right there. thats all ive been listening to for the last couple weeks. love their track soul clap

  • @Matthewvandyk word man you gotta spread truth everywhere you can let introduce those to "trueschool". Thats a good word i never used it before

  • @Matthewvandyk pozdrawiam również

    też wolę tą odmianę rapu

  • @Matthewvandyk

the thing with fame is it's false love. 50 cent and soulja boi fans like the idea of big name rappers, not the rappers themselves. they buy their albums and go to their shows because they want to be in their world of fame. like... if I listen to this guy and meet him, maybe I can drive nice cars too. at least you and I want to meet our hip hop heroes because we appreciate their ideas and music, not so that we can tell people we've met them.

  • @Paz00ka wow, one of the best interpertations (spelled right?) i have ever read about hip hop. well put comment. respect and keep enjoying good music :D

    Peace

  • @Matthewvandyk check out j.cole

  • @Matthewvandyk im 17 and i dont give a shit about your age

  • @Matthewvandyk keep it like that kid

  • I keep this cd in the suv. It`s a cool album. I got a 17 and 12 year old and this albums not offensive. So it`s a good album to put your kids down with real hip-hop. Really a good, positive album.

  • zajebista płyta.. klasyk

  • The only kind of rap I listen to. Mainstream rap is dogshit.

  • man can anyone in the world help my cop the lyrics to this song?

  • Yeah track is dope. The best album is 4th dimensional rocketships going up, for sure. I play this kind of conscious music at my university's radio station. Check my channel for more cuts like this, and links to stream live.

  • Yeah its all about the conscious hiphop.... im sick of all this brainwashing crap on MTV....

  • This song is great. I just purchased 4th Dimensional Rock Ship Going Up

  • how is it?

  • Its good

    You need a download link?

  • nah imma go cop it next week... i think its worth buying

  • Alright
