  • Nowa days captains tend to "fall" into lifeboats.

  • That's Olympic NOT Titanic!

Titanic's promenade deck has closed deck windows when Olympic's doesn't..

    but rare video indeed..

  • Just FYI 3:25 - 4:10 is in fact a very well known footage of the Olympic, Titanic's sister-ship.

  • That's one of Royal Caribbean's boats the Oasis of the Seas was on it last week. @ar1z430 such a nOOb.

  • Thats the first of the three sisters the Olympic , not Titanic!

  • is this real?????

  • Oh my gosh oh my gosh it's Titanic

  • Interesting contrast of old and new at 2:21. The old type of wooden ship passes the new type of steel ship that would replace them. Must have been remarkable at the time...cool!

  • People disapear at 1:36 =O

  • Fake...!!!! Note the focus brought in on 0:10. I think such a thing couldn't be able to do just until 1950's

  • @vivianavitulich Oh, sorry... I see it's the projector... Ooops

  • wrong!!!! OLIMPIC footage!!! no titanic!!

  • Finally, a Titanic film without the Titanic music that always gets me teary!

  • Sort of expect to hear Donovans "Atlantis" as sound track...

  • lol why was the captain wandering around like he was lost. lol

  • @17iran because this was the fifth ship he had damaged his career was not without incident only 3yrs before titanic he grounded the ADRIATIC in new York harbour kind regards

  • Some of this footage actually appears to be Titanic's older sister, RMS Olympic. The telltale givaway is Olympic's open A-deck promenade Titanic's was enclosed forward of the third funnel. In addition, much of her B-deck promenade was privatized or utilized for other purposes.

  • @Historymaker2001 yes, when advertising Titanic they apparently used footage of the Olympic. They thought since they were so alike, no one would notice the difference

  • It was not only the italian captain; In that ship there was no respect at all for women and children.

  • @ardi480 The officer mis-interpereted Captain Smith's order of Women and Children first as Women and Children only which cost men their lives. It would have been better to keep families together than splitting them up. They also didn't respect Third Class treating them as steerage and locking down in the bottom of the ship as she sank

  • @davinp titanic was a very class divided ship and racist to boot, if you were first class you got a seat in lifeboats . no of first class children lost 2 no of third class lost 80percent almost total wipe out .this night was a total disgrace titanic was not a leo and kate event .

  • @davinp good man titanic was a first class ship only ,if you were first class you got a lifeboat seat if third class you got a grave all gatti Italian waiters were drowned in second class rooms below decks they were kept below until the ship sank by officers they were treated like animals kind reggards

  • Made by Table...

  • why in the movies does captain Smith wear black? watch the beginning if you look closely, you can see ITS WHITE

  • I luv it! <3 :) :D

  • its Olympic and captain smith was captain of both ships

  • Titanic was 9/11 of its' day. Many "titans" of finance against establishing a central bank,th FED, were aboard like John Astor. The FED, after many failed attempts and been kicked out of the country twice, was reestablished the following year 1913. They looted and manipulated the finances of the US and brought in '29depression Why? Its' charter was coming up for renewal and they created chaos- people said "Save Us" like they are now and did on 9/11..we got Patriot Act and gave up our rights.

  • @telumears no it wasnt , some one attacked the wtc no one attacked titanic

  • It's not titanic footage, its sister ship olympic maiden voyage!

  • @KINO2x How do you know that?

  • @jpetrillo13 Pay attention to the aft of deck B! It was more open in Olympic, than in the Titanic. Also there were differences in the configuration of boxes on the deck B. But the main difference between them was deck A. It is completely open in the Olympic, and it is half closed in the Titanic

  • I think it is amazing how James Cameron actually fond actors/actresses who look the image of the actual people involved with the Titanic... and this film is amazing x RI P all those souls lost at sea and god gracious to them lost heros... x x x x

  • That's the Olympic u n00b!

  • It's Titanic because that's Captain Smith.

  • @babykevinxoxo Captain Smith was the captain of the RMS Olympic too. It is Olympic because Smith is wearing white suit (he used in summer, is more fresh to wear) and the Titanic sinks on April.

  • @CarlosBcn1989 Also, when the ship is leaving, we can see that one of the upper decks is totally open to the outside, while on Titanic half of it is enclosed.

  • this is the Olympic the scene at 3.48 shows a ship reversing out a new york pier...... Titanic never reached America

  • Some of that footage is Olympic in 1911

  • The Olympic...actually

    :P

  • tragique destin !!

  • Pokemon music?

  • beautiful and sad.

  • Is this Orinpic? not Titanic.

  • This is the Olympic.

  • how much the world has changed in 100 years

  • In about 60 years, we will no longer have the Titantic to look at.She will have rusted away into oblivion...

  • Comment removed

  • I always thought it was a GOOD idea to scrap The Olympic. Last thing White star line wanted would be to have all THREE ocean liners sink.

  • This footage is from rms olympic not titanic. Still very interesting tho! Thanks

  • Not indestructible, unsinkable...

  • huh??? so ur saying the titanic didnt sink, and they... dug up some random ship from the ocean or something o.o?

  • didnt they think the titanic was indestructible

  • @xDonaldDx

It was indestructible. The Titanic actually made it to New York. That bit about all of the "Third Class" passengers drowning is just socialist propaganda.

  • @ewd76 ?? wait im confused now.... didnt the titanic sink in the middle of the atlantic

  • @xDonaldDx

That's what they want you to think.

  • @xDonaldDx Titanic sunk. About halfway on its voyage. It struck an ice berg which ripped open small holes throughout the ship. This guy is just fooling with you.

  • This is in 1080p HD

  • Very exciting! Thank you for this! :]

  • One TV report said the ship before sailing , the vessel owner said that neither God sink the Titanic, the result is there, sad how people sometimes have to go through certain things to believe in God: (

  • I think they need some Gordy playing.

  • When the ship was leaving my response was....wait come back, your all going to die :(

  • @prussell890 well...they didn't ALL die.

  • ma è veramente il Titanic?

  • @Pallina610 NO E L'OLYMPIC

  • Where did you get this???

  • this is great but why add the silly music

  • This was FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for posting.

  • And that is not an engine room tegraph either.

  • @adammichaeldawson If you are referring to his assertion that this is the Olympic, not the Titanic, he is absolutely right. Google both ships and compare their pictures. And was that dumbass comment REALLY necessary?

  • Hi thank you for your subscription I hope you will enjoy my channel with over 1000 film clips to chose from. Kind Regards John.

  • @TOPCAMERMAN thanks for that film clip John it was brilliant

  • Great vids, I have subbed.

  • At 4:07 you can clearly see this is Olympic, not Titanic. The Forward A Deck Promenade isn't enclosed here while it was on Titanic. All of this footage is Olympic.

It's good footage none the less but it's not Titanic

  • @fishlikelong Spot on. Totally correct

  • I keep having this strange re-occuring dream of me being on the Titanic. I ferried people over to the iceburg and dropped them off. Then i would go back for more people. Strange, I feel as though I should have been on her.

  • love the people too,

    RIP.

  • just look at the captain, wow!!! i,m looking at history right now, wow!!!!

    this is awesome,

love everything about titanic.thank you so much for the video.

  • Emergency telephone to be used, in case of storm???

Didn't the Titanic sink under a calm night after hitting the iceberg??

  • @losttribe yeah it did but i dont get it with this:emergency telephone to be used,in case of storm?that doesnt have any sence at all...anyways nice video and its HD even if its from one century ago...

  • this is not the titanic this is the olympic, how to see it, first of all the tugboats sez new york, secondly the front cabbin (where u steer the ship) is bent around a bit it was flat on the titanic, third back windows are square, titnaics were round... it is captain smith tho, but on olympic, before the maiden voyage of titanic...

  • finally finished scrap two years later after superstructure was scrapped hull was towed away to be scrapped in different yard according to information on scrapping of ship scrapping was finished days before ww2 started .kind regards

  • Look how much humans communicated back then... Fuck the illuminati...

  • 100 years old video 720p nice

  • @Bicebs40cm Hhahahaahaha HD camera in 1912

  • this music is taking me away, love it..

  • the titanic only had 3 smoke stacks

  • Some are real, some not

  • was jack dawson a real man on board or is he just a character someone made up 4 the story of the titanic i see you know alot about it take care xxxxxxxxxxx

  • @lou4tea no that was just in the movie

  • @poetgirl123 The movie had 4 stacks.

  • this is a very good video i think its great waching videos from yesteryear did the olympic ship sink like the titanic 2 ? it must of been horrific being on bored the titanic when it hit an ice berg 1 minuet your enjoying the traveling and going to see family or just going home the next your life is at stake all those poor lives lost :( still i loved your video it was very interesting to see i love historic videos the music is good is that a keyboard your playing ? well done xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @lou4tea no Olympic was scrapped just a couple of days before ww2 we needed the steel for the war ww2 that is

  • @motorguzzi100 A couple of days? dont you mean a couple of years, 1935-1937 she was scapped ww2 broke out in 1939

  • The same iceberg that caused the tragedy might have saved the people who died. If just somebody had thought of using it as a giant lifeboat.

  • I'm sorry The funnels. Are installed in the clip. It's the shot of the bow that is realy over exposed. Any thing elts is the olimpic.

  • The only film of the titanic is a shot of the bow befor the funnels where installed. It's about 20 seconds long and very very rear .

  • This year will be the 100th anniversary of the titanic sinking

  • Titanic's captain smith responsible for grounding 3 other ships and coal fires on 2 others and they gave him titanic oops

  • Horrible music: really bad home-made version of Pachelbel's Canon. Yuk!

  • ЭТОЖ ОЛИМПИК, А НЕ ТИТАНИК

  • Right, it's not RMS TITANIC, byt ship was verysimular (from outside view)

  • This is the Olympic ...

  • Yeah, there was never any film footage of Titanic. There are some pictures of her but so few exist.

  • i hate it when they are saying this is the titanic but in real its the olympic or lusitania

  • wait, so the ship leaving port is NOT Titanic, but Olympic? This is most likely true, but in many videos and documentary's I have seen on the Titanic, they show that footage,.. they even use it in the 1958 film "A Night to Remember" for when Titanic is leaving port..

  • Still a very cool video of a time long past.

  • titanic or not, amazing footage.

  • Bogus. Sheesh.

  • Nice pictures of the RMS Olympic, NOT the Titanic. The name of the tugboats you see in one of the videos is descuised so one cannot see it says "Port of New York" - a harbour Titanic never reached. Only a very short videoclip of the Titanic was ever made and it is not even among these videos. It is the right captain thougt - a scene where he is commanding the RMS Olympic before Titanics famous voyage.

  • @gay27hbg yup you are right captain smith also damaged Olympic as well as sinking TITANIC he also grounded 3 other ships and had coal fires on 2 others. TITANIC had a coal fire on board when she set sail so they employed 12 men to smother fire with coal and then set sail what a crew many deserted at last port of call

  • @gay27hbg Get your history straight dumbass. I have a degree in history and everything you said is false.

  • @adammichaeldawson The problem is. You are wrong. There is only 12 seconds of film footage of the Titanic. This is Olympic. Read facts before you make a fool out of yourself

  • @gay27hbg Its a shame they didn't keep the Olympic. She may not have been deck for deck similar to Titanic but she was VERY similar and the closest thing to Titanic we still had that didn't sink (Ahem Britannic) But at least parts of certain rooms on the ship still exist.

  • @AngryGundamGamer the olympic didnt sink... the 3rd sister ship of the big 3 did ..the Britannic ... the olympic was scrapped ...for metal or something of that sort ... but they should have kept it n it would have been a museum right now ..crazyy..

  • @crimescene08 Did I say the Olympic sank? If so I didn't mean to. I know Brittanic sank. But yeah Olympic was scrapped and I wish she hadn't been... Do what they did with the Queen Mary 1... Make a museum out of it.

  • this is the Olympic, not Titanic

  • The bearded gentleman appearing at the beginning of this video is indeed Captain Smith, who went down with Titanic!!!

  • @Kaffyboy At least he stayed behind to help people get to safety unlike that Italian Coward a week or so ago.

  • @AngryGundamGamer thats exactly what i thought when it happened

  • @AngryGundamGamer on board titanic all gatti waiters of London were held below until they drowned non survived they were held in second class rooms a deplorable event

  • If only they had helmet cams in those days!. No shouldnt laugh

  • so not titanic look at the captians uniform he wore black on titanic

  • This is Olympic in New york , those are New your Harbor tugs.

  • the captian of ''the olympic'' looks like the one from titanic

  • @TheBananaWazHer you are correct he was the captian of olympic first before titanic

  • Dont sink the Titanic

  • @TOPCAMERMAN ma che grandii un reperto meravioglioso

  • What's the music playing called?

  • @MrDemino do you know what is the tittle of the music now? i would love to know.

  • @yasir8899 Actually the other folks are right, this is NOT the Titanic, it is indeed the Olympic. E.J. Smith was the captain of the Titanic and died on board, but prior to that was the White Star Lines most popular Captain and also captained the Olympic on her maiden and subsequent voyages. Captain Smith was to captain the Titanic on her maiden voyage and his last voyage afterwhich he was to triumphantly retire. Obviously we all know what really happened. This must be Olympics maiden voyage.

  • This is Olympic, not Titanic. Wonderful film though of this beautiful ship and gives us a good idea of how Titanic would have looked.

  • i did hear some where about this footage and the captian of the titanic took a look at her sister ship to see the difrence between the two ships, he was then intrview'ed after coming of titanics sister ship and he said "its going to an adventurus last trip for myself" and never said anything about the differences of the two ships, or if they look nearly the same weather this is true i dont think so myself it's old hear say from back in the day.

  • Its not the titanic it's the olympic But don't worry its an easy mistake

  • FASCINADAAAAAA

  • <3333

  • It's not the titanic, it's the olympic.

  • im sick and tired of commenting on these videos, you people are so naive this is not titanic. its olympic! theres only one film stock in existance and it aint these

  • what do you know about titanic

  • olympic

    -

  • Yup, definately Olympic - look at the A-Deck Promenade. On Titanic it was enclosed, but Olympic's was open, as shown here.

Also I doubt Smith ever had an oppurtunity to don his dress whites during Titanic's short life.

On an unrelated note, what the video identifies as an Engine Room Signal Chart is actually the telegraph for communication with the aft docking bridge - see how all the commands are related to docking and maneuvering the ship, rather than speed or direction.

  • R.I.P for those people who died during the first voyage and last of the Titanic

  • 3:37 ta indo ao contrario

  • será verdade mesmo ?

  • lol fake 4:08 this is r.m.s Olympic

  • This is either Olympic or Britannic, you can tell mainly because the forward section of the promenade is open, and on Titanic it was closed, amongst other things

  • Where did you get this video?

  • @TitanicExpert1912 I may be wrong, but I think he got that video from the Library of Congress in Washington D. C. I know there are very rare video and audio recordings there too

  • PokeDude549 is my brother's account. I wrote that... Sorry I didnt know I wasnt in my account

  • @TheCharactedActor: you're stupid. James Cameron's Titanic was and still is the most famous movie of all film history.

  • With all do respect to James Cameron, he should stick with Sci-fi/Action. Seriously which is a better line? "I'm the king of the world" or "I'll be BACK"

  • Capiten, where should i go? :(

  • Goodbye Capitain Smith!!!

  • im sorry but jeepsterrr is right, this is olympic, there is only one film known of titanic and im afraid that this isnt it... sorry

  • @superpalftribute you can tell as titanics promanard deck is coverd for about half way up the ship, olympics wasnt

  • I hate to be the one to break this to you, but that is not The TITANIC. That is the TITANIC's nearly identical sister ship OLYMPIC.

  • The White Star Line shifted operations to Southampton in 1907 to take advantage of the better railway access afforded to their passengers. Southampton was also better equipped with deepwater docks for the huge new liners. This location was also a shorter distance from Cherbourg, France and made for more economical operations.

  • This is the Olympic in New York, summer, 1911. Notice Captain Smith's summer white uniform. You will also see where names visible on buildings and tugboats are scratched out. This was shown in movie houses in 1912 right after the disaster as actual Titanic footage but in reality it is her sister ship. See how the New York docks are elevated high above the water--totally different from the Southampton docks. Still interesting footage.

  • wow. Period.

  • This is not the Titanic. This is the Olympic. Look at the first class bridge. It's not covered from windows.

  • Cool footage but horrible choice of music

  • this is the olympic. there is only one stock footage of the titanic in existance

  • This is the first titanic movie ever? I knew that the first movie was in 1912 :D

  • @SecretNameL This is not a movie. Actually it is a report showing Titanic's nearly identical sister-ship, Olympic, departing frow New York in june 1911. It was shown after Titanic's tragedy in 1912. But it shows quite well how would have looked the interiors like, and what would have the atmosphere been during Titanic's maiden voyage.

  • @Nicomurgia aaaaaaaaaa ok! thank you :)
