Funny though my brother who also grew up in A2 hates this movie and he is a musician... I find people have very strong feelings about this movie one way or the other!

@mchelo18 Granted. But I lived through the real rock and roll of Iggy's era, AND I saw this movie, which was a pretentious, wilted version of the real thing. Seeing Iggy perform this might transform a young man, or transfix him. Ewen's faux rock star version would only have gotten him booed off the stage, even in my local pub.

For anyone who wants to get what it was all about, this is not the film or the performance to imbibe, get thee to a documentary. But, I salute them for trying,

i love this film.......my absolute favourite! a complicated love story with sex, drugs and rock n roll! all the actors are amazing in it, particularly jonathan and ewan. this song is a great cover of gimme danger, and i get all teary eyed at the end of the song when ewan's singing " i wanna feel it " ....... he's pouring his heart out with such passion.......beautifully tragic :o(

Unfortunately, only a few songs were sung by the actors themselves, and some of those songs are not in the soundtrack (like this one, although if you want a version of it, Iggy Pop is the one who sang it originally) "Baby's on Fire" is sung by Johnny Rhys Meyers on the album, and "TV Eye" is sung by Ewan...the rest are mostly done by The Venus in Furs and the actors were lip synching...
