  • Dear Dr Sacks, you are already a teacher of many years! May well you continue. M. Garside, tourettes person. You are an inspiration beyond my own belief. Thank you for your care study analysis and hope.

  • His new book is fascinating-he's speaking here tonight--got my tickets!

  • DMT!

  • Great documentary, what a beautiful mind.

  • Dr Sacks, if only you knew what a profound and positive effect your existance has had on my life. Please live learn and teach for ever! You are one in a zillion. Tourette syndrome person.

  • Also I was diagnosed with ME/CFS 13 years ago - was in a dark room for years unable to tolerate light, sound, movement touch.

This disorder has been classified in the WHO ICD as neurological (G93.3) since 1969..

I don't suppose you will see this comment but I would be fascinated to know what you make of it as an illness/disorder/syndrome...

Thank you for simply being you - your kindness and intelligence shines through.

  • Intelligent, empathic and useful as a human being - what a fantastic man you are Oliver.

I first encountered your writings while studying a degree in philosphy - they weren't on the curriculum but I used them in essays - looking at the 'abnormal' to seek the 'normal.

My father recently had a TBI and I have gone back to looking at your work - the aphasia section in Musicopillia interests me in this respect.

  • Hope he sticks around for a long time... we have so much to learn from him... he is one of my idol! Now, you know what to give me for my anniversary: a meeting with Oliver!

  • He is indeed. I've read 3 or 4 of his books and what's struck me so much about him is his respect for his patients. The reader never gets the opinion that he regards them as merely objects. He has such great humility. My own fascination with neurology has been inspired by Oliver Sacks

  • Mr. Sacks is a pretty fascinating guy =D

Good interview with an incredible man,
