This game sucks - it's nothing like the original Driver. More like Crazy Taxi; arcade style driving around a weirdly modified street layout where there are no sharp corners so you can drive full speed all the time - yawn. No skill required; it seems like it's been dumbed down to appeal to the under 10s. Soo boring. The online games suck too; the 'shift' thing is disorientating and annoying.

I'm also a Pc gamer so like a lot of Pc gamers i refuse to buy Ubisoft due to their DRM software which requires you to have a permanent internet connection to play. It doesn't stop piracy and it treats legit gamers like criminals. Also what if i want to play on my laptop on a train? Ubisofts DRM servers also don't work properly so you can't play the games anyway!!!

@MajorDudesome I bought 'Settlers 7' a year ago and i still can't play it due to issues with DRM. On it's release the whole of Australia was locked out for weeks! Like i said the game still won't run for many people. STEAM actually refunded people who had bought the game due to the level of problems while Ubisoft buried their heads in the sand and pretended it wasn't happening. Their Pc sales have dived but rather than realise their mistake they've decided to pull titles due to "poor sales".

This game stands no chance against some of the upcoming releases around the same time, its USP is 'shifting' which is a terrible idea and has nothing to do with previous drivers. The game is restricting with very little things to do and little freedom on how you play it. its not kids who are criticising this game but fans of the previous titles who know what there talking about.

I like the way that the dialogue was intentionally cheesy like a 70s movie should be, and the Shift option is just a good as getting out, because Tanner wouldn't shoot someone anyway, he's a cop, and shifting is a lot easier than jacking someone IMO
