  • I love this video! I take this trip on 301 a lot, to visit my grandparents in Jax. I always am meaning to stop at the produce stands, but never do.

  • i know your dad. I met him at my job at DCI.

  • Your family looks very loving and you'll be just fine there with your girls...take care baby girl

  • One of your best videos. It was neat to see you with more light. You skin looks so white. I also liked the music. P.S. I loved your dad's garden and oh yah his tshirt!

  • Ha ha. Yeah, I'm pretty pale. I burn and freckle. There is no tan stage. :P Thanks for the nice comment!

  • Looks like it was a fun trip. :)

    Banjos are cool.

  • good ol' gainesville

  • Yep. :)

  • Audrey,,,,I'M IN GAINESVILLE right NOW!

  • No way! Man, you're like an hour and a half from me!

  • Love the banjo! Rock on Dad! My family's the same...teachers and farmers! Suzy

  • Good people. :)

  • My Dad is in Daytona. I have made one trip there do far.

  • Daytona is a fun place.

  • Lol, actually he does not think so. He took us to places like St. Augustine, and Mt. Dora. Though we did enjoy the Beach, and went to the Bubba Gump Restraunt. We did see two Lighthouses also. Oh, and he took to the Marina to see the dolphin's. Most of that was under construction at the time so that was all they had were the dolphin's.

  • I Love your Dad's hair! It must some things with Dads.. My father had ONE tomato plant.. He was so proud showing that thing off LOL So how far is Gainesville from St. Augustine? LOL

  • Men and tomatoes. I know it! It's about an hour and a half away. Surprisingly, when I lived in Gainesville, I visited St. Augustine more often.

  • awesome..I love country folks...wait I am one..thats why!! REVELATION!!

  • Ha ha ha!

  • Your Dad is good on that banjo!

  • Thanks! He thinks he's awful, but I love listening to him play.

  • Nice humble place xD - I hope to travel the USA one day

  • *droooooooool*

  • thanks for sharing! ur dads a great banjo player! i love listening to those being played! ur girls are beautiful! glad u had fun

  • Thanks! I'm telling my Dad. He thinks he's terrible.

  • Now I know why I like you so much!!! you got deep country roots just like me!!!

  • Oh yeah...my family...teachers and farmers, the lot of them.

  • This was fantastic to see - I love the countryside. How cool must it be having a hippy Dad! LOVE the veggie patch - Darin has one too but we're in a bad drought here so it's starting to suffer.

  • Oh, I hate droughts. We get one every few summers here. And, these used to be wetlands! Gainesville isn't technically the country. It's a smallish college town SURROUNDED by the country. Sort of a Bohemian oasis.

  • oh yeah we've been in one for a long time now - we can't water our gardens or wash the car. Darin treks out with bath water each night to water the veggies!

Why does Gainesville sound familiar? Was it in a movie?

  • Hmmm...I don't know. Its only claims to fame are its successful college football and basketball teams and the fact that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are from around here.

  • Lovely video x

  • Thanks! :)

  • OH very cool music by the way!

  • It is, isn't it!

  • I'm sorry I didn't hear what you said the pigtails just got to me! LOL no a wonderful road trip!!!

  • Yeah, the pigtails certainly bring in the nostalgia factor.

  • Thanks for taking us along. The garden looks so wonderful. I LOVE freshly grown tomatoes and squash. We don't have the soil out here to grow them. We only seem to be able to grow tumbleweeds and cacti. :( Hugs,~Moonchime♥♥

  • where are you moonchimes? sounds like my part of the desert!

  • Las Vegas. Are you in Yuma?~Moonchime

  • Yes I am! Just down Hwy 95! I LOVE VEGAS!!!

  • Moonchimes, I looooooooooooove squash. As much of a junk food addict I am, nothing beats fresh squash all cooked up with zucchini and onions.
