  • Remind's me of my own arrivel in Bacolod last June. Miss my family now that I am back home again.

  • nice airport.

  • I am so sorry kung na offend ko kayong lahat okay. I read my comment di nga maganda!

  • vruhelda>>> ur so stupid. u think you know everything. electronic devices releasing signals and frequencies are thje only gadgets arent allowed ... radios,mp3 players,phone.. and P.S. Cellphones now have FLIGHT MODE... It makes the phone unable to receive signals. Cameras are what? flash? screen? Read before giving tips.

  • wag lang sana stupid and dumb because i have a knowlegde naman sa mga ganitong bagay. Im a US airforce working here in texas.

  • that's why i explained the possibilities. But chill out! okay...

  • why do PAL pilots dont execute its full degrees of flaps during landing on provincial/city flights?

  • this is PAL

  • what airline is this?

  • my new arrival to silay city will be march3 2009 cant wait to go back home!

  • thankyou prop47 for your comments!I hav'nt as yet had time to pusue an enquiry regarding whether or not passangers are permitted to use digicams on any flight as soon as i do i will post the answer here but your comments are interesting though

  • yes 777 it seems thats correct although other persons comments here have pointed to the cam corder not being allowed on any flight i find that difficult to beleive since one of the PAL pilots used his own onboard camera to film his own landing at silay, i think i will enquire here in my native UK for the truth!!

  • I have never heard of a digicam emitting elecromagnetic interference. Try putting one near a radio unlike a cel phone that clearly produces one. If you look at the website flighlevel350 you can see hundreds of videos taken from inside the plane. Videos from "Just Planes" DVDs show videos from inside the plane of recognized airlines. I am aware of reported interference from laptop computers especially when used in the first class section making ILS reception off center but never from digicams.

  • not only hudreds even thousands or possibly millions!!! hahahah im a member of that fl350

  • actually electronic devices sometimes cant cause interference of signals or can cause failure to the aircrafts.but it is implemented for the safety of all during flight.

    ;)

  • I flew from Bacolod to Manila in April this year & a female passenger sitting directly behind me asked me to turn my dvd cam off during our approach into Manila, One of the cabin crew said to the female passenger that cameras are allowed to be used during the flight!! If a pilot who is flying an aircraft worth $80million & is using a digicam to film the approach & landing in the cockpit & ur a passenger on that flight why can't you use ur digicam too ?

  • thanks fr yr kind words judgnut 74

  • hahaha hey cillit99 dont mind vruhelda...just tell her ' kasabad sa imo!" I mean we ride on metal flying buses and we worry about cell fones or video camera interfering with the flight hmm safety first(sarcstically)WTF you landed and safely posted this right? Come on live a little and enjoy his video!!

  • hehehehe yungf tono ng flight attenant di pa sya ilonggo na ilonggo hehehe

  • thanks for your comments in Tagalog (which my wife who is Ilongo was able to kindly translate for me) sorry if you are not happy with the use of camcorders on aeroplanes, i didnot use my cell phone in that PAL flight only my cam was used.i would suggest you contact all the other people here who have used either their cell phones or cams to record their flights, that will surely amount to many thousands of comments from you goodluck

  • Ur very much welcome at least rightnow your being aware of the safety precautions inside of the plane... dont worry bout those pilot who posted thier flight here in youtube, i bet they aren't a real pilot at all.. they know all the rules bout safety precautions.

  • thankyou again for your comments. i would also suggest you should inform the other people here in Youtube not to film inside a plane, pilotoko i think is a pilot who also posted his film of his plane landing in Silay airport,i wonder if he would also agree with your theorys?as he is a pilot!

  • thanks for all your technical advise about not useing a cam corder in an plane i apprieciate your comments but the whole purpose of my video is to show eveyone who is from Negros the New Silay Airport and its facilities and my own personal experience of landing there.

  • okay.. i never said that your using a cam corder coz either way it's not allowed anyway..thry prohibit all electronic devices at all... i bet your using your cell phone 100% for sure becoz of the resolution of the camera.. and btw just dont think of your own "PERSONAL EXPERIENCE" please...next time, coz your not only risking your life but also those passenger who are bound in that plane okay...

  • your welcome

  • cilit99 i have a few to give you if you dont mind. During take-off and landing you are asked not to use any electronic devices, although some may be used after cruising altitude has been reached. Cell phones, wireless computer mouses, etc are banned for the duration of the flight. This is because they pose a risk called electromagnetic interference.

  • Electromagnetic interference is experienced by all of us on a regular basis. An example of this is if you put a cell phone near the computer, you can hear loud static in the computers speakers every time the phone rings, and the screen may start to shake. This technically should never happen, but the wire to each speaker is acting like an antenna, and it picks up side bands in the audible range.

  • This is not a dire problem -- just a nuisance. But notice how common it is. In an airplane, the same phenomena can cause big trouble. An airplane contains a number of radios for a variety of tasks. There is a radio that the pilots use to talk to ground control and air traffic control (ATC), a radio that the plane uses to disclose its position to ATC computers, there are radar units used for guidance were weather detection and so on.

  • All of these radios are transmitting and receiving information at specific frequencies. If someone were to turn on a cell phone, the cell phone would transmit with a great deal of power (up to 3 watts for a single phone). If it happens to create interference that overlaps with radio frequencies the plane is using, then messages between people or computers may be garbled.

  • If one of the wires in the plane has damaged shielding, there is some possibility of the wire picking up the phone's signals just like a computers speakers do. That could create faulty messages between pieces of equipment within the plane. Now imagine what would happen if everyone on the plane were to use electronic devices, and you should be able to fully understand the ban on such devices. "

  • if u can be a US Airforce. Im the president. Be anyone you can be... = D

  • ur so dumb? why care so much? He already said that he;s using a digital camera.. unless his camera has wifi in it.. so shut up

  • dont get me wrong.. pero buti nalang di mo pinasabog ang plane.. lol!!!!..sana maging aware kana sa susunod mong flight kasi ur putting everybody at risk....okay!

  • and one thing... di mo pala naintidihan kasi tagalog ang ginamit nila pag instruct na "BAWAL ANG GAMITIN ANG CELL PHONE SA LOOB NG EROPLANO" hhahahhaha... i felt so sorry for you.

  • I suggest you to watch national geographic. you ignorant pus

  • nice video..tnx for posting..

  • yah i hope they can provide a jollibee or chow king as i enjoy that kind of food, i did'nt realize they were planning to build the new airport in La Carlota thats interesting!

  • nice comments from some of the viewers. from what I heard from my uncles, dad and lolo... a new airport was supposed to be constructed in la carlota city but then they decided to build the new airport in silay out of all the empowerment of some politicians. Wekll whatever!

They better have jollibee or chow king in the airport it'll surely be the first thing i'd want to eat when I land in that airport =)

  • I totally agree, cos 2 small cafe's ain't much to choose from especially if ur flight is delayed for whatever reason. Maybe when i return to the Bacolod/Silay airport later this year they might just have jollibee's or a chowking in the departure lounge :)

  • yah i agree jollibee would be a good idea and chowking i guess its only a matter of time

  • I just hope that they extend 21/03 runway so that the airport can handle bigger aircraft, new airlines which would certainly bring a lot more investment & tourism to western visayas.

  • what did you think of the facilities at the airport?

  • The new Bacolod/Silay Airport has been very well designed, Great views from the departure lounge of the mountains, The only thing the airport could improve on apart from extending the runway is more eating facilities like Chowking or jollibee's in the departure lounges

  • january 26 2008

  • I arrived at the new Bacolod/Silay airport on the 22nd March with CebuPacific

  • When did you take this video ?

  • Nice one. thanks for the video! In my opinion, they'd better think of a new name for the airport...Bacolod-Silay's kinda confusing. The Flight Attendant welcomed the passengers to Bacolod, but they're actually in Silay. Oh dear, which is which? Anyway I'm excited to see the new airport myself in a week...
