Can only find Lapras on Fridays. Since you told the rom it was "Satday" when you started it's going to take a very long time to get Lapras. Time will NOT pass while the rom is off, unlike the actual cartridge which time will pass regularly. Monaters.

If you want a Metal Coat before beating the elite four, you have no choice but to get one off of a wild Magnemite (which you can find west of Ecruteak). You could use thief, but you don't get that until the team rocket hideout in Mahogany, so you have to catch lots of Magnemite if you want one soon. As for trading with emulators, Youtube has video tutorials for that. Try searching for Slowflake's "trading Pokemon with emulators" tutorial, for instance. The question is if THIS Crystal can do it.

1) I think your problem with laprus might be that this game only seems to have a saturday or sunday... at least this would seem from the games start and those being the only day options.

4) as far as I know there isn't really a way to trade on rom, os maybe look it up... but I bet you could find a AR code that will do a similar effect but I'm unsure is AR codes would work with this bootleg game...

2) You don't get the Metal Coat until you go on the SS Aqua after you beat the Elite Four. (SPOILER: After beating the Elite Four, you get to go to Kanto!)
3) Print out a type chart. Right now. As you're reading this comment. Go to a new tab and print out a type chart.
Next time you're in a Pokemon Center you should go up the stairs and see what the people up there have to say. IIRC the second floor of every center other than Goldenrod is identical so you'd only have to go up there once.
Did you guys actually put the right day of the week when you started the game? To check what day or the week it in in your game, your Pokegear should have it, because Lapras IS on Fridays

Fly is obtained from the woman outside the 'dycity' gym, Lapras does appear on fridays in that exact spot - maybe your game is not set at the correct day, and the metal coat is obtained from a guy at the SS aqua (you go on it once you defeat the league), so yeah, anyway keep up these videos, they are hilarious :D
Lapras should have been exactly where you were on Fridays, however , your game didn't register that it was Friday for some reason, as can be seen from the fact that Frieda of Friday wasn't in that little path behind the Pokemon Centre outside the cave. It's probably just a rom issue, most likely from using save states.
I already said this on an early video 2 days ago (Part 13, I think), but I'm assuming you guys are gonna be watching comments on the more recent videos, and I figured you thought this would be hilarious. Anyways, I'm pretty sure "bag fuck" is a translation for "put in the bag" which, if you think about it, is kind of correct. XD
if you want to trade on a rom use the emulator "TGB Dual" VBA saves aren't compatible with it, but the in game save file (which should end in the extension .sav) is, so you just have to move that file over to the tgb folder for it. If you need anymore help with it just send me a message.
@extreme29 They were in union cave, it was just called something different because of the mistranslation. Also it is normally just there as a sprite, you don't need to encounter it like other pokemon.

Fly is in Cyanwood, you have to talk to the lady next to the gym who said she'd give you something nice if you came back after beating the gym.
Um... you're totally wrong. That WAS Union Cave. They were even in the same spot as where the Lapras should be. But since they're using the spacebar on the emulator, time is passing faster, so it may not be the right time in the game as it is in real life.

This is random but have you ever noticed "ekans" is "snake" spelled backwards and "arbok" is "cobra" but with a "k". Just in case you didn't know before now you do.
i think you should give more of your pokemon food names, even if they are just going to go straight to the box...maybe 'oreo,' 'noodle,' or something along the lines of 'burger?' ...just throwin' that out there...

it honestly feels like more trouble than it's worth. :\ I'm seconding everyone else directing you to Bulbapedia for Pokemon info, but I also suggest you add a Fire-type Pokemon to your team, it'll make the fight against the Olivine gym leader a looooooot easier once you get around to it.

2. Lapras DOES appear on Fridays...maybe your rom has the day set wrong?
3. Metal Coat is unfortunately not available until after you beat the Elite Four, but maybe you could have someone trade you an Onix that they made hold one?

It's possible to trade even while using a ROM, you need to download TGB Dual, since it allows you to run two separate virtual gameboys at the same time. You just need to download and extract it, then copy the ROM itself and and your save files into the saves folder. Then you can load a second ROM to the second one and trade between them.
also, im not sure if you really care about this, but suicune should also be in cianwood as far up as u can walk in the city. you cant catch him there but it makes him move on to the next of the locations he chills at before allowing you to catch him in the tin tower. you have to battle eusine there too tho. just throwing this all out there for the good of the cause
No idea how to trade in ROMs, but if you do figure it out, you also need to trade Steak to a game and back to get it to evolve into Gengar - I mean, Quar. -shot- Just throwing that out there because you haven't mentioned it xD

You can get the metal coat after you get the ticket for the boat, which is after the elite four. and the reason lapras (who DOES appear on friday) didn't show up is because you didn't set your game's days of the week to real-time days of the week - i think you set it to a saturday or something in the first episode.

First off rightttttt next to the Fighting gym is Fly. The LADY! I was screaming at my screen like nooooooooo right theree haha. Second, Lapras is in the cave RIGHT before the slowpoke city. You gotta go back in and go all the way to the left and surf surf south. Theres a ladder, go down, surf right, then another ladder, and the water you see there holds the Lapras you gotta surf around a good amount. Last, magnimite have Metal Coats, just catch a shit ton of em and one has to have one.
Metal coat is recieved at the S.S Aqua, OR CATCH A MAGNAMITE They have a chance of holding a metal Coat. Lapras is on Friday, and fly is in olivine that island city. Talk to the lady near the gym. Hope I helped :D
Someone already probably said it, but I'll mention it again. If you talk to the Gym Leader's wife in Cianwood city (the fighting dojo place), you get fly.

if you want to trade on a rom use the emulator "TGB Dual" VBA saves aren't compatible with it, but the in game save file (which should end in the extension .sav) is, so you just have to move that file over to the tgb folder for it. If you need anymore help with it just send me a message.

@extreme29 They were in union cave, it was just called something different because of the mistranslation. Also it is normally just there as a sprite, you don't need to encounter it like other pokemon.

@extreme29 They WERE in Union Cave. The game apparently doesn't think it's Friday, possibly because they set the date wrong when they started the game. If they set the day right, then the translators mixed up the day names.
Fly is in Cyanwood, you have to talk to the lady next to the gym who said she'd give you something nice if you came back after beating the gym.

Um... you're totally wrong. That WAS Union Cave. They were even in the same spot as where the Lapras should be. But since they're using the spacebar on the emulator, time is passing faster, so it may not be the right time in the game as it is in real life.

OK. If you want fly, you needed to talk to the lady in front of the Gym on that island thing. It will make life much easier.
Also, consider training other pokemon so that if steak and feraligatr die you wont lose automatically.

I really enjoy this walkthrough guys, here's 2 tips you wanted
Lapras does appear on Fridays, however it may be that your ROM isn't synced properly, if you check the pokegear's time function it should have the date (hopefully with a day you can read...)
you get fly in Cianwood from Chuck's wife, the woman right outside the gym you didn't get before because she gives it to you as a reward for beating the gym
I hate to tell you this but you get the metal coat after the elite four...

it honestly feels like more trouble than it's worth. :\ I'm seconding everyone else directing you to Bulbapedia for Pokemon info, but I also suggest you add a Fire-type Pokemon to your team, it'll make the fight against the Olivine gym leader a looooooot easier once you get around to it.

3. Metal Coat is unfortunately not available until after you beat the Elite Four, but maybe you could have someone trade you an Onix that they made hold one?

For the steel coat, I believe you get that on the SS Anne. from the captain when you beat the elite four, and go to the Kanto region.

It's possible to trade even while using a ROM, you need to download TGB Dual, since it allows you to run two separate virtual gameboys at the same time. You just need to download and extract it, then copy the ROM itself and and your save files into the saves folder. Then you can load a second ROM to the second one and trade between them.

also, im not sure if you really care about this, but suicune should also be in cianwood as far up as u can walk in the city. you cant catch him there but it makes him move on to the next of the locations he chills at before allowing you to catch him in the tin tower. you have to battle eusine there too tho. just throwing this all out there for the good of the cause

fly is on dycity, you have to talk to the lady right in front of the gym.
you can't get a metal coat until after the elite four
and i have no idea how to trade between roms, haha.

You can get the metal coat after you get the ticket for the boat, which is after the elite four. and the reason lapras (who DOES appear on friday) didn't show up is because you didn't set your game's days of the week to real-time days of the week - i think you set it to a saturday or something in the first episode.

First off rightttttt next to the Fighting gym is Fly. The LADY! I was screaming at my screen like nooooooooo right theree haha. Second, Lapras is in the cave RIGHT before the slowpoke city. You gotta go back in and go all the way to the left and surf surf south. Theres a ladder, go down, surf right, then another ladder, and the water you see there holds the Lapras you gotta surf around a good amount. Last, magnimite have Metal Coats, just catch a shit ton of em and one has to have one.

Metal coat is recieved at the S.S Aqua, OR CATCH A MAGNAMITE They have a chance of holding a metal Coat. Lapras is on Friday, and fly is in olivine that island city. Talk to the lady near the gym. Hope I helped :D
