As a Progressive Rock fan for over 40 years, you so seldom hear anything this good from a modern band, I love it. Benoit would be better off with Mystery than Yes, yes is a shadow of the band they once were and Mystery is in the prime of their creative years. OMG this band is so good.
Until I lsitened to this song I was very skeptical about the singer from this band being the new lead singer for Yes, but I must say, I think he can pull it off. He sounds a lot like Jon Anderson.
I have not heard original prog/art rock music of this caliber in quite awhile. Virtuosity with a true melodic content and intelligence in composition and production. Reminds me of the early days of discovery of bands like Yes, PFM, Rush and Genesis. Mystery deserves a following. They are world class IMHO. - Sam Utah
Hoping to do a meet and greet at HOB NOLA in Feb 2010... by typing it here I am trying to wish it into existence. Last time I saw Yes there was on Jon's birthday, and I was pleased to sing Happy B'day to Him as a gesture of thanks for all the years he has sang for us. Just now discovering Benoit David, and I am blown away. His voice incorporates the best qualities of both Jon Anderson and Geddy Lee, which gives this new 'prog-rock' sound a mixture of what my parched ear has been thirsting for!
I listened to this on the back of David's contribution to Yes and I'm very impressed. I like the music but his vocals are really good.
