If you wanted to technical it's a firearm, bb guns are powered by air or springs as well airsoft guns. But this is powered by a powder being ignited. So be careful making and using these as it is considered a firearm and might end up being in trouble with LEO's

this really brings me back .. 40 years ago this kid and his school pals found out the the car antennas used back then were a perfect fit for 22 cal bullets and were great for making
