Messatsu's Partitioning is off the charts. i mean RX is my favourite Urien (and possibly the best Urien out there), but the fact that Messatsu constantly partitions, officially earns him the title of "Partition Master."

Damn son! Those are both excellent players. Why did they take out the stun bar in SF4 and SSF4 though? I like that feature, it allows people to play more aggressive and create more interesting battles.

wait the stun bar was for advanced players and games without stun bar are for "pussies?" SF2 had no stun bar...it took skill to see how much damage each attack took, and whether or not they were about to be stunned or not. nothing "pussy" about not having a stun bar. although i do agree 3rd Strike>>>>>>SF4 lol

1:18 to 1:32 is why YSB is one of the best Hugos. The fact that Messatsu managed to sneak in some pokes was excellent, but most people crumple under YSB's corner assault. It's the way he uses the clap, it's absolutely terrifying. As soon as I see one clap coming up, I am on the edge of my seat.

He uses so many clap options on knockdown: clap, whiff clap, varying strengths to change timing, etc. And if he has meter charged then once he starts clapping you can probably say goodbye. Scary fucker.

yes urien is good when he has a meter, but he has to work for it and he has to start a combo, either with c.hard punch or with his

back charge --> kick move.

so he has to try and get a combo in to do max damage. but then how is that different from hugo? he has that cheap ass grab. how is that any less cheap that urien's super? if hugo gets his ultra in that more than half the life gone right there. at least urien has to work for it and not just do a 360 on the stick whenever someone gets close.

Hugo is worse then Urien in almost every way. It's extremely hard to pull off a sa1 with Hugo against a skilled player like messatsu.

I always laugh when people presume that the power of the Gigas makes it cheap. They should try landing one on a decent opponent. On paper, it's one of the best SAs in the game. But you need so many diverse tricks under your belt to make it work. That's why it's not uncommon to see a Hugo sit on a full SA1 meter 'til they die.

But then of course, the Gigas should only supplement a player, it shouldn't be the be-all and end-all of a player's repertoire otherwise they are severly lacking.

I've actually never seen anyone say that Gigas was cheap, I'd be amazed if I do, lol. I'd go further and say try playing hugo against anyone above the bottom Tier and see how far you can get. So hard to get in close to do what he does best.

Free round? Have you even tried playing Urien? It is NOT easy to make full use of an Aegis like that. Definitely takes alot of practice and skill. I can honestly say that I CAN'T do it at all. You can't just throw one out and sit there, Aegis by itself is weak. It's the combos you do with it that make it strong, and you really have to work for those. So for you to say "free round" is stupid. In fact, there are no free rounds at this level of play.

No, that's absolute bullshit, because sometimes you just can't block it no matter what; sometimes Urien gets you in between himself and the mirror and backs you into it, then bounces you around between him and the mirror a bunch of times. Most of the time he'll just fucking corner you with the mirror and then get in close to cancel your blocking, causing you to eat the full force of his punches and the mirror. You need to think your statements through.

Looks like the hcb+k, qcb+p, dp+k only works if you use the medium and weak attack buttons.

You can't use 3 medium attacks in a row. It has to be 2 med and one weak, or 3 weak.

If the damage is too high, the air throw will whiff.

Have you lost your f*cking mind?! First off, these two are among the world's -- the WORLD'S -- finest 3S players. Actually, YSB very well might be the BEST Hugo in the world. Second, they ONLY play in the arcade, which rules out the system direct. You can tell because your rank only appears above your health in Arcade Mode, and Urien only laughs 3 times in the Japanese arcade version. Lastly, yes, you can do that combo as long as you're in the corner.
