It's only been since 2001 that the Euro has even been on the radar as a reserve currency and that's because of Bush. No other currency is as strong as the dollar. From the point of view of Russia and China, firstly it gives them lots of leverage in taking a far larger role in the IMF (A bigger share of voting rights), something that I believe was mentioned during the talks.

abundantly clear that the savings/borrowing gap between these countries has become untenable. They are after all looking after number one. the value of the dollar is about to drop and has been dropping dramatically, therefore, the exporting nations no longer have as easy access to the bread basket. From their point of view they won't want the excesses of the USA/UK to cause popular unrest at home from economic depression of someone elses making.
Having your own currency as a world reserve comes with huge advantages, even sharing a mixed pot ideal such as the SDR's is preferential to being out of the loop. The advantage has been that the US could borrow money with no/or almost no inflation/interest/risk. It makes a lot of sense for other nations especially 'creditors' such as China to make this move.
Lastly I don't think i can point you in the way of an SDR currency link other than the definition of currency itself:
So what you have just admitted to is that the SDR is not a currency in and of itself. China and Russia did want a "basket of currencies" to replace the Dollar as a partner with gold in valuing the SDR's. That much is true. But again, I haven't read that was one of the outcomes of the summit. In fact the only thing I've read or heard about is the agreement to infuse the IMF with more money to use for poorer countries.
As for the dollar dropping in value, you have to look at all the currencies and if you do you're going to find they all have dropped in value over time. The reason being is that many countries currencies are pegged to the dollar. That's why I bring up the Petrodollar in the beginning. Our agreement back in the 70's (I believe) was what increased the desire of the Dollar being used more and monopolizing Reserve status.
I believe that point is alluded to at the IMF site. In conclusion. Although I can understand and appreciate your position and you have done your homework, I am not totally convinced this would be a win, win for all countries concerned and with the US holding the majority of the votes at the IMF, it would have to be to our advantage or it's a no go. Debt or no, we are still the largest economy in the world.

I agree whole heartedly. Jesus was kind to those who deserved it, although he did provide constructive criticism & told people to stop sinning, but this was done oout of love. However, he did THROW the money changers out of the Temple. This means he had to be physical, because you know it isn't that easy to pick up grown men & move them. Paper currency is about to be a thing of the past. Everything will be strictly electronic...no need for conversions across international borders. Funds will be able to be verified immediately and debts siezed without the account holders permission. The SDRs were greatly weakened after the failure of the Bretton Woods mechanisms in the early 70's, and haven't really been used since then.
However, the plan is to 'create' new SDR allocations out of thin air, and effectively the SDR is ready to take the place of the USD as the de-facto global reserve. Now that this idea is in place, all that is needed is the USD to devalue (as it is doing now)
Get ready for it; it won't happen overnight.

We'll go to 1 world currency, but probably not in the lifetimes of most of us.
At 1 time we had over 200 currencies in just the USA (with states & banks issuing their own).
Now the USD & Euro are the major currencies of about 50 of the world's 200 countries & about 70% of the world's trade uses them.
In no country do they back their currency w/ gold & that's unlikely to happen.
China is selling as much gold as they can as long as some1 is willing to give them 900 USDs for an oz.

With regard to countries Reserve currency being changed to one currency. Where the hell have you been? It's been the US dollar for a long time. It's only been since 2001 that the Euro has even been on the radar as a reserve currency and that's because of Bush. No other currency is as strong as the dollar. abundantly clear that the savings/borrowing gap between these countries has become untenable. They are after all looking after number one. the value of the dollar is about to drop and has been dropping dramatically, therefore, the exporting nations no longer have as easy access to the bread basket. From their point of view they won't want the excesses of the USA/UK to cause popular unrest at home from economic depression of someone elses making.

Having your own currency as a world reserve comes with huge advantages, even sharing a mixed pot ideal such as the SDR's is preferential to being out of the loop. The advantage has been that the US could borrow money with no/or almost no inflation/interest/risk. It makes a lot of sense for other nations especially 'creditors' such as China to make this move.
Lastly I don't think i can point you in the way of an SDR currency link other than the definition of currency itself:

So what you have just admitted to is that the SDR is not a currency in and of itself. China and Russia did want a "basket of currencies" to replace the Dollar as a partner with gold in valuing the SDR's. That much is true. But again, I haven't read that was one of the outcomes of the summit. In fact the only thing I've read or heard about is the agreement to infuse the IMF with more money to use for poorer countries.

As for the dollar dropping in value, you have to look at all the currencies and if you do you're going to find they all have dropped in value over time. The reason being is that many countries currencies are pegged to the dollar. That's why I bring up the Petrodollar in the beginning. Our agreement back in the 70's (I believe) was what increased the desire of the Dollar being used more and monopolizing Reserve status.

I believe that point is alluded to at the IMF site. In conclusion. Although I can understand and appreciate your position and you have done your homework, I am not totally convinced this would be a win, win for all countries concerned and with the US holding the majority of the votes at the IMF, it would have to be to our advantage or it's a no go. Debt or no, we are still the largest economy in the world.

Yes money is whatever you call it when used in exchange. The value is attached with the agreement of a vast amount of people who have agreed to accept it in exchange for goods and services. Paper or pooka beads, same difference.
