Inkscape Tutorial 2 - Shapes - Drawing Rectangles

Cool tips - I got stuck for a while with the ratios, you need to mention to hold ctrl to get the ratios.

How can I draw a rhombus in Inkscape? I've tried skewing a rectangle, and a square, but it always looks a bit off.

@ShadeCanopy Use the pen tool to draw two sides

Select it and copy to clipboard

Press Ctrl+Alt+V (paste in same spot)

Press H and then V (Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical)

What version of Inkscape do you have? I have version 0.48 and it doesn't have some of the tool options that yours does. 0.48 is suppose to be the lattest version so you would think it would be better, but it seems to be lacking some of the things that your version has. Your version looks a lot easier. Every inkscape tutorial I've watched so far on youtube has been different from my version.

@kurttwentyeight It was 0.47 for this video. I didn't upgrade to 0.48 until my 6th Inkscape tutorial video which is on 3D shading. I reckon 0.47 was much better
