Sailor Moon is the most magical adventure you can go on. It has helped me get through some very rough patches in my life. Although this may seem like some stupid children's show, you will find yourself getting emotionally attached to all of the characters, you may even find yourself crying when they are in trouble. Every day my love for Sailor Moon is reborn as I reminisce on the magical journeys, those captivating half hour segments where even a child with A.D.D would gaze at the wonders of SM.
I got this season last Christmas and watched the whole thing in 2 days ... Even though I have only been a fan since I was 8, Sailor Moon is still one of the most important things in my life. I love it with all of my heart and wish I could be Usagi or Chibiusa, to have friends that help me become a better person, less selfish and immature. To learn life lessons with them and know no matter how big a threat, they will always be there for me. I love you Sailor Moon with all of my heart eternal <3.
they should bring back sailor moon, maybe as a remake of the original series overseen by naoko takeuchi. i would definitley see it, and im sure the new generation would enjoy it just as much as we did.
Sailor moon, still kicking 20 years after. An eternal classic. After a long time i found the long version today on my cell phone. I listened to it for about 2 hours today in single repeat mode. totally made my day.
God, I loved this song so much. When I watched SM on VHS I would always fast forward through the openings, except for this season, I'd listen to it every time <3
While the others just place their hands on top of each other's, Rei and Usagi are actually holding hands in this opening. And I remember that when the DD Girls and Galaxia killed the inner senshi Rei was always the one Usagi ran to (When fighting the DD Girls, Usagi lost herself completely only when Rei was supposedly dead.
Sorry but I can´t see any moral differences between japan and united states. Hmmmaybe the fact that gays transvestites or shemales are not claimed anti-christ as it was by your dead grandpa or by you... But I mean no harm.
I think they should do an anime for Chibiusa I mean she will be like the new Sailor Moon right O.O why not make another anime for her and how she saves the world .

@AsiansAwesomeLOL well in the anime they are women in their planet so when they go to earth they transform into males but yeah when they turn into the starkights they go back to females
This I can kind of get confused about sometimes, so it's understandable ^^;. In the anime, when they are in their civilian form, they are men but when they are transformed into the Sailor Starlights they are women. In the manga however, I'm not too sure since I just started to read it but my guess is that they are girls all the way through even without being transformed.

I do know that there is an episode when you can see Seiya without his shirt on. I've SEEN the whole season and even series to know that. However, the anime does make the genderbending confusing, so I was trying to explain my personal assumption.

You'd think as the Last Season of Sailor Moon they would have added Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto! I know they aren't in the Series a lot but it would have been nice to see them. @Wevitox87 Naoko Takuchi is finished writing the manga and each anime series was made right after a manga series had been completed. Since there is no new manga, there is no new Sailor Moon anime, it's as simple as that.

@nikinanify From what I know, Takeuchi (the series creator) didn't grant the license for the English version because she wasn't happy with the way SM was 'dumbed down' in the US.
Personally, I think it was a good move by Takeuchi. If they couldn't come to terms with Uranus and Neptune's lesbian relationship in the US version, how are they going to deal with the Starlight's blatant gender-change? :P
@mumumagic That's the trouble with marketing anime to a younger audience outside of Japan. Edits would have to be made to meet with the countries' views and morals as Japan's morals are quite different from our own.
@mumumagic That is utter bullshit. Takeuchi had no control over the licensing; it's out of the creator's hands the minute they sign on with a publisher for their manga. The publisher then has complete rights to the work, including licensing it to be adapted into an anime. Distribution rights would be part of that contract, thus it would be the animation company that decided whether to bring it to the US. They simply didn't think they could get away with putting the Starlights on US TV.
I don't remember them ever dubbing it in English. I think they stopped when the show became too explicit for children to watch, and they couldn't dumb it down anymore.
In polish wersion there was all 5 series of Sailor Moon:D (SM, SM R, SM Super, SM Super S and SM Sailor Stars) It was released in 95-97. Only fw epsodes wan'nt released- 45 and 46 from frst series and one from S series. Im sure that in other countries (f.e.France) there was also realased full version- with "few" censored things.
Even though Rei-chan and Usagi-chan fight alot they really are friends inside as at 1:07 Sailor Mars puts her hand on Sailor Moon's before any of the other Senshi and the episode where the Senshi's starseeds are taken Usagi goes to Rei and talks to her the longest! That episode is sooooo sad! :'(
Sailor moon is one of those rare shows where the final season was by far the best. Thankfully they ended it on such a high note that i'm not disappointed that they didn't continue the series. Sure more Sailormoon would be nice, but nothing could ever beat Sailor Stars.

@AllSparkPrincess Sailor Cosmos never really appeared officialy in the anime. The enitity was known as The Light of Hope and was Sailor Galaxia's true Star Seed who had taken the form of Chibi Chibi. This angelic entity in the intro may just as well have represented Eternal Sailor Moon.

This opening is, and always be one of my favorites for an anime series. It was such a blazing start to a series finale that went full throttle, keeping all the past seasons established, but maintaining the charm the show had built up over the years. It mixed the silliness the show was known for, but kept a serious tone with out going the top like the S arc did.
I don't understand why America didn't dub this. I've heard it's because of gender changing, violent.... But they have shit like South Park, Family Guy, and all that! I've seen the series it's not that bad! The American government are fucking morons!!
my vote is for a total sub of the stars season... then air all 200 subbed episodes on Adult Swim because we know all the sailor moon fans in america are adults anyways now LOL

@raepep They are actually WOMEN. Took me forever to figure that out. lol There's a couple websites explaining it. They decided to disguise themselves as men (popstars) to find their princess easily. Though..I don't see why they couldn't have just been female popstars?
Love it or hate it, one can't deny the influence Sailor Moon has had on both the Japanese and American anime subcultures. (IE-every anime convention has at least one ugly as shit fat guy cosplaying as a sailor moon character) And in the years since it premiered, it's still the standard by which all shoujo anime are judged.
Plus, you have to admit that despite it's flaws, it's still vastly more watchable than Twilight.
I've got to say Sailormoon taught me values about dream and never giving up hope. I've rewatched it and learned new things.. As silly as that sounds. I even watched the jap version and still loved it. I will never out grown this show. My dream is that it will come back on televsion and I can show my little cousins a good television show. This show has morals and values, unlike most of the garbage on tv now a days. I mean the power of love is another and the strength of friendship. I love sm <3
If Sailor Moon was remade with higher quality graphics and shown in the US, I'm pretty sure the Sailor Moon craze would come back :D Who agrees with me?

@lunamon15 ....I'm pretty sure that it's Sailor Galaxia when she was good because she doesn't have her hair tied up unlike Sailor Cosmos/Queen Serenity.
I watched the end of Sailor Stars when Sailor Moon healed her and her hair looked like that and she also had wings.
I wouldn't object to a remake with better quality as long as they don't dumb it down like all the other "kids" shows being made now and I'd also require their assurance that the dubbers would not be 4kids.
I wish the inner and outer scouts also powered up and became eternal sailor mercury, eternal sailor mars, eternal sailor jupiter, eternal sailor venus, eternal sailor uranus, eternal sailor neptune, eternal sailor pluto and eternal sailor saturn. :D
@cutebilly1030 in the manga they did but not the anime. The original creator of Sailor Moon(who wrote the manga) was very disappointed when they decided not to include those on the anime :(

I don't remember them ever dubbing it in English. I think they stopped when the show became too explicit for children to watch, and they couldn't dumb it down anymore.

In polish wersion there was all 5 series of Sailor Moon:D (SM, SM R, SM Super, SM Super S and SM Sailor Stars) It was released in 95-97. Only fw epsodes wan'nt released- 45 and 46 from frst series and one from S series. Im sure that in other countries (f.e.France) there was also realased full version- with "few" censored things.

Even though Rei-chan and Usagi-chan fight alot they really are friends inside as at 1:07 Sailor Mars puts her hand on Sailor Moon's before any of the other Senshi and the episode where the Senshi's starseeds are taken Usagi goes to Rei and talks to her the longest! That episode is sooooo sad! :'(

Sailor moon is one of those rare shows where the final season was by far the best. Thankfully they ended it on such a high note that i'm not disappointed that they didn't continue the series. Sure more Sailormoon would be nice, but nothing could ever beat Sailor Stars.

@AllSparkPrincess Sailor Cosmos never really appeared officialy in the anime. The enitity was known as The Light of Hope and was Sailor Galaxia's true Star Seed who had taken the form of Chibi Chibi. This angelic entity in the intro may just as well have represented Eternal Sailor Moon.

oh em gee this brings back so many memories of when i was little XD i watched the english versions, bought some of the movies in english in america, and watched the japanese version when i went back to japanXD i used to have the dolls that my grandma sent me from japan, the wands that were only available in japan, and all that little girl sailor moon fan girl crazinessXD thank you for all those nostalgic little girl memories :D

This opening is, and always be one of my favorites for an anime series. It was such a blazing start to a series finale that went full throttle, keeping all the past seasons established, but maintaining the charm the show had built up over the years. It mixed the silliness the show was known for, but kept a serious tone with out going the top like the S arc did.

Love it or hate it, one can't deny the influence Sailor Moon has had on both the Japanese and American anime subcultures. (IE-every anime convention has at least one ugly as shit fat guy cosplaying as a sailor moon character) And in the years since it premiered, it's still the standard by which all shoujo anime are judged.
Plus, you have to admit that despite it's flaws, it's still vastly more watchable than Twilight.

I've got to say Sailormoon taught me values about dream and never giving up hope. I've rewatched it and learned new things.. As silly as that sounds. I even watched the jap version and still loved it. I will never out grown this show. My dream is that it will come back on televsion and I can show my little cousins a good television show. This show has morals and values, unlike most of the garbage on tv now a days. I mean the power of love is another and the strength of friendship. I love sm <3

I honestly miss the good old days (& everytime wen i listen to the eng Slmn theme - it brings back those old memories - Sailor Moon was my very first fav anime/cartoon since i was very young child

@lunamon15 ....I'm pretty sure that it's Sailor Galaxia when she was good because she doesn't have her hair tied up unlike Sailor Cosmos/Queen Serenity.
I watched the end of Sailor Stars when Sailor Moon healed her and her hair looked like that and she also had wings.
