Because they were threatened with arrest by 5 of pot saint lucies finest. Chuck Proulx who erected the sign took it down at the direcrion of the City manager who autorized sign to be put up. The sign was taken down appx. 30 minutes after it was posted on you tube and many phone calls to politicians outside the city.

This is the kind of civil disobedience we need! Hit them where it hurts. Starve the government who robs from you and your kids. Make an example of these kinds of shenanigans and publish it far and wide. Don't give them any more of your money.
And quit keeping all of your money in the bank too and using a debit card for everything. Hit the bank-ster gangsters where it hurts too.

I would say if you look closely at what ssidiouss subscribes to he surely would not have had one of the highest scores on the firefighters exam. There is a city council meeting on Mon 13th at 7:30. I wonder if there will be a special precense of supressive forces to buklly us again.

I think the press being made aware of this would be more effective than contacting the politicians, they do not care about us they only care about their image. If someone was to contact the Church maybe we could find an attorney
who could cause some real attention to be paid to this unbelievable abuse.

For those of you who can, please send your thoughts (email, letter, phone call) to the city/county of PSL, even if you're not a resident. Don't stand by and take this kind of abuse.
It's a shame that during a time when the government is trying to cut expenses that "they" would do something like this.

At a bit after 3:000 in the afternoon after it had been made VERY public, the city took their ball and went home.. seems the sign was not needed after all. May I suggest EVERYONE who sees this email our illustrious leaders and let them know exactly what they think of their behavior here in PSL.

I am one of the organizers of this group, after beings harrassed by the police and told it was "illegal" to stand in front of the city's "sign" I needed to remind them that the Constitution protected our right to free speech as well as our right to assemble and petition OUR government for redress of grievences. I was told that the "sign" was the "city speaking".. BZZZZT!.. wrong, it does not work that way, it works one way, to protect citizens rights... not government.

I thought there was 200 or so large crowd and a lot along the way! I ALSO NOTED 1 POLICE OFFICER WHO SALUTED US! THANKS TO THOSE THAT CAME AND SUPPORTED! I was told by Chuk Proulx he erected the sign with the "permission of the city manager and the city attorney". Chuck is the Director of the recreation department.

There is nothing racist about this organization. If you paid any attention to what is going on this country, you would probably join us. This has nothing to do with Obama the man. It has everything to do with the politics.
