This is absolutely lovely! I am so jealous of your ability! I can only do pen and ink and charcoal...or I am comfortable there. You have inspired me to branch off! And you have such great style!

That's really fantastic. All of the drawings are exquisitely illustrated. Superb detailing and fabulous colors. I also love the lettering style of the various pages. Thank you so much for sharing. It's most definitely not a conventional sketchbook. That's for sure.
I enjoyed your tour through the Rome sketchbook. I visited in 2004 and this book reminded me of the sights, as if I were standing there. All the scaffolding and TV antenna on the tops of buildings, statues everywhere, and the color. Color seems amplified in Rome. I distinctly recall a warm, yellow-orange-ish feel throughout. Your sketches reflect that. Thanks for the tip on the markers. I read and re-read the Creative License for creative inspiration. Thanks again for the tour.
All I have to say is AMAZING! I do have to agree with describer99 though! =) You are diffidently the best person that I have found on youtube in regards to sketchbooks. You go at the right pace and don't flip way to fast and you talk about your work and I really love that! =)
OMG - I just went on to your website. I didn't realize that An Illustrated Life is your book. I always recognize the cover but never looked at the signature (sorry).I have been bugging Santa for a copy and he promised to deliver it with a big red bow!!!
This is one of the best sketchbook tours I've seen, and I'm a bona fide sketchbook junkie. I love your work and I think it's a great idea that you walked the viewer through the book. Most sketchbook tours flip pages too fast and have background music that makes me thank God for inventing the mute button. Nice Job!!!

Lovely sketchbook as always. I like the fact that you got "bored" and didn't finish the sketches.
