    Yes he is, and a very good one at that. He speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Amoy, and Penang Hokkien - as well as Japanese, Hakka, Maori, Estonian, Finnish, Danish, German and Dutch (the second list to varying degrees of fluency, of course, though his Dutch is so good that most Dutch people wouldn't be able to tell that he's not native).
