i played 1.6 when it was first released for years, played cz when it was 1st released for several years and played css for years. There are alot of faults & glitches on 1.6, the graphics arent so good either, if there wernt so many faults it would be much better, however, 1.6 is harder and more competitive compared to css, as cz is out of the question My opinion Css is better, yet i still like to play 1.6 and css, i think they should upgrade faults of 1.6 and the graphics it would be ALOT better

having played both for the same amount of time i can say i liked source better for me. the graphics and the psychics and yes theres alot of recoil lol but once u get good u can control it. my brother plays 1.6 and when he plays source im always the top fragger.1.6'ers are so used to the game i understand because its been out so long that 1.6 ers and they dont wanna switch cause they dont wanna lose there skills and start over again. but both games are valve just enjoy it

Totally true. I've played source first and then switched back to 1.6 because all my friends played it, it was hard at first but when I got used to it, it was just like source for me before. They're both great games, there're just too many differences that 'hardcore' 1.6 fans can't bare. For example smaller places for harder awp'ing, the recoil is the best for m4 and the worst for the ak, etc (in source of course). One thing I still hate in source, overpowered flashes.

I played 1.6 for the longest time and when i tried source, when it came out, i hated it because it ran bad on my computer and i was really bad at it.

This was recorded at the end of 2006, it was still pretty difficult to run the game.

Honestly i think everyone that says source is bad is on a bandwagon.

Its idiotic to say source requires less aiming or skill. Theres not even more lucky shots. I can get a lucky shot in both game

@two203 Source has bigger hit boxes. bigger hit boxes mean more chances to hit. Source also has lessen recoil and take away alot of stuff like quick scoping ( just changes the way u do it), crouch hopping, and other things

@imissjr8 i haven't seen a side by side comparison, but if the hit boxes are bigger they aren't much bigger. The recoil isn't lower its just a different spread. crouch hopping is a glitch that was taken out. This video is really old and i have no doubt that they believe the game runs bad because they weren't capable of running it at a constant 100 fps. You cant really say one is easier because there are good very good players in both games.making both equally hard. The engines are different.

Graphic wise the game is a little behind the times, but think about how old it is...
