This singer reminds me of the singer from Arcturus, at least on their Asperis Hymm Symphonia album, so raw and awesome sounding. The guitars are amazing as well, I definitely need to learn some of this shit, sounds so damn fun.

IMO its not as good as ...The Burning Darkness or Terminal Spirit Disease, but its a fun listen and very enjoyable on the surface. ATG's older stuff takes time to appreciate, but SotS is instant gratification no doubt.

@Neuffey No they are artists, and like all of the artists some are good, some are not. I enjoy some of their music, sometimes not. Nevertheless Melodic Death Metal is still my favorite genre.

LOL at the dude calling the vox "soooo Deathcore". Thanks to Slaughter of the Soul we've now got an endless supply of bad to mediocre Metacore bands raping the style and basically ruining it to the point that most metalheads can barely stand this album. IMO its not as good as ...The Burning Darkness or Terminal Spirit Disease, but its a fun listen and very enjoyable on the surface. ATG's older stuff takes time to appreciate, but SotS is instant gratification no doubt.

Genres are just big fucking excuses that people use to support how 'elite' their genre is. And then, those 'elite' people cite bands they think are 'elite'. And the hypocritical thing is, those bands are listening to music that's the exact opposite of the 'elite' genre of music that the fans are pushing. Like Yngwie Malmsteen being an avid fan of George Michael, Children of Bodom liking Britney Spears, Kerry King loving the Beastie Boys...

One time i had to go to a meeting for writers so i wore a costume, afterwords i wanted lot's of alcohol and heavy riffs.. so i went to a metalbar and asked the DJ to put on Necrophagia. All these metalheads were lookin very funny back then.
