Believe it or not,I was there also with my friend Mike & his mom Sheryl who you can see in the tape. She is the blonde lady on the left at the 6:00 mark. She would take Mike & I to the matches at the Cow Palace, the San Jose Civic & even in Modesto at the Uptown Arena.
Sullivan was a face all through the 70's into the 80's. He was usually low card and mid-card. He got more of a push here in the San Francisco area as the territory was on its last leg.

I wonder who caught the mask when Sullivan threw it in the crowd.
I was there at the Cow Palace that night, and I know it wasn't me!

I was there too and I didn't catch it either.

Terrible interview by Suliivan you can see him tripping & stumbling over his words. He would greatly improve on his mic skills in time though.

"Star Warrior" I wonder how they ever came up with that name in 1977?
Lfdjake91 2 years ago
This was an amazingly good angle. It drew some huge crowds to the Cow Palace. It was the last hurrah for Roy Shire's promotions.
OaktownABQ 2 years ago
yes, word is that Sullivan & Roop both came up with the entire angle together. Both men were great bookers as well as great in ring talents.

What an interview, Kevin Sullivan was a very good babyface.

Sullivan a face? I've never seen that before. Wonder if that was really his dad.

That really was Kevin's Dad. He was out in SF visiting Kevin and they decided to use him in this feud to get some extra heat for Roop.

Sullivan was also a babyface in Georgia for the first little while he was in the territory.
BTW, who was Kevin Sullivan's little brother?
