  • I hate fast talkers

  • It's for computing advanced mathematics, not DirectX/OpenGL. It can run 3D graphics, but only enough to display graphs of the results of the computation on screen.

  • i bought one but then i dropped it :(

  • I doubt it would play games it would run them pretty well with no lag buuuuuut there will be lots of graphical glitches because it's not a GPU for games XD

  • Will it Blend? That is the question! :D

  • although i did't quite understand much of what he said but i can understand that that card is a beast

  • These are coming down in price. There are 2 on ebay for about £600.

  • i wonder if this card is fast enough to use compizfusion?

  • Just to clear things up... Yes it is a graphics card. NO It will not beat out all other GPUs on the market, this is a card with a specialized chip for Compute calculations for computational power. It does not render graphics faster, and actually will run with lower FPS on average compared to any gaming card, as they are not built to output images at high rates. Also NO, it will surprisingly not farm bitcoin faster than amd/ati cards unless u have the S2070, which barely competes with a 6990.

  • i will buy for play tibia

  • this shit can run about 60 bf3's on ultra at once, proberly needs liquid nitrogen to cool that shit off, a fucking teraflop? some serious shit here

  • is it 3d?

  • @Ps3Reviews40 No, only for CUDA and OpenCL based applications like Arion Render, iRay (Mental Ray 3.8), PhisiX (too much just for it) or intense scientific computing. I'm actually into computer graphics and willing to buy it.

  • For all the noobs who dont get it.. its a processor.. not a graphics card.. but i still wounder if you threw it in a system with a gtx 580 and an i7 990x what would happen..

  • @stealthyfrog you would get arrested for creating a nuclear bomb and taken in by the cia, and also nasa would steal it from you and use it on space shuttles

  • @5921056 :3

  • She showed me her CUDA

  • this gpu is used to run demanding programs like notepad or or-screen keyboard

  • My school has 3 of those card in one PC and render a complex scene in 1 min compare to the other computer in 3 days.

  • But can you stop asking if this will run games.

  • You can't play games with it, lol

  • But can it run mine craft

  • But, will it blend?

  • I nearly bought this darn thing.. I wish I had, I wouldn't of needed to upgrade for an other 10 years.. Why the hell did I go for the 5970 -.-

  • Can this be used with Maya nParticle or rendering?

  • i wish i could get a "xenon" processor i watch lots of youtube tech videos and so many people talk about them>>> hmm must be like a secret cpu that only higher up geeks can get. lol nah just a joke< seriously people is "ZEE-ON"(xeon)

  • @decimat777 Only good for servers.

  • @1waitandbleed1 is that for my "physx" answer? because you can use this on a regular desktop not just a server, and the cuda implementation can be used for physx... even albert said this could be used for scientist's workstation computers which is a desktop computer.

  • Yeah, double floats are new...

  • can i play games on a tesla?

  • @hcdoodah nope not yet at least. actually nvm i lied this card will work for nvidia physx but at the moment that would be overkill.

  • i want a teraflop D:

  • Yes, but will it run minesweeper?

  • Will the tesla and quadro cards run GPU intensive softare better than the regular consumer level cards? this has been eating me all week. like i know they are not built for gaming, but you can use them for that right?

  • i will use that card in my project, but i have to pay a lot for 8 cards :/

  • whats a good way to make money with a powerful pc?

  • It's now around $1,500.

Fuck the $700-800 AMD 6990. Throw in another $700+ and you'd get a card 100x more powerful than it.

  • @Mobius14 Thats not even a comparison dude 6990 = GAMING C1060 = COMPUTING AND RENDERING

    DURP

  • but will this get us laid

  • does it have a human interface port ? in other words can i have sex with it? mmm! ;P

  • mmmmm this noob not run mario 1 x3!!

  • Soooooo how would this be for bitcoin mining lol

  • will it run gta vice city? lol

  • How about an EVGA SR2? Throw in a GTX580 so you can play games during your lunch break + it'll aid with CUDA processing.

  • is a superspeaker presenting a supercomputer ?

  • No really, can this cause a significant boost in frame rates for games?

  • @Rachamacha

    crysis will fly.

  • But will it run Crysis?

  • @KingNikan13 yes...

  • wait... this is 2009 ?

  • Does this utilize Fermi technology?

  • FSX FSX On this bay oh yeah 9oh yeah YEAH Baby FSX is my Simulator Game Getting a 580 with 3GB Vram on board Tomorrow on that:) Selling my old i7 860 and GTX 285 1GB Biostar i55 p55 8GB ram pm me for more detail.

  • Uh oh, if he's talking about the thread manager, that's on-die, it's not separate from the GPU. It's sub-circuitry, not a separate dedicated chip or anything, I don't want to mean just to make sure that if anyone's life dependent on this fact, they ought to know it!

  • now we have ROOMS of these!

  • 10.000 Bucks only? I will go and buy 4 of the right now xD

    (just kidding)

  • If he sounds too fast, it means YOU'RE Too slow. He is such a typical True Geek.

  • the wierd thing is why spend so much on 4 way sli when you can get one of these if its going to give you shit loads of fps?

  • @t4kerz DID YOU EVEN WATCH THE VIDEO it is not for gaming xD it doesnt even have a video output because its like a cpu ;)

  • ok I do lots of video editing and architectural design and some gaming, i do have a gtx 580, so if i throw only one of these in, will it make a huge performance difference???

  • If you can't understand him, you are not deemed fast enough to own this card.

  • @DelinquentRodent did you qualify?

  • lol he said 10,000 DOLLARS USD like a kid could even buy it lol

  • LOL, now someone needs to create a rack system with these! One day...

  • Motherfuck STFU for 2 sec's man TALK SLOWER U FUCK'ER.

  • goodbey?

and if he had any more coffee, he could beat the card hands down

  • @IgotGreens101

you can... if u can afford it get it xD

  • id love to see the NVIDIA Tesla C2070 :D

  • this get 300 fps on crysis

  • @IgotGreens101 You can, but its built for scientist, gas exploration, finance... You name it...

  • DAO BIH MU 100E DA UCUTI, SA OVIM GLASOM MRTVE BABE...

  • butt will it blend ?

  • @Dune1884 HAH! i said the same thing to my flatmate about it xD

  • But can it be overclocked

  • i wonder if windows will able to run on cuda

  • Yes very cheap! "PNY NVIDIA Tesla GPU C2070" Is only 5.457 Dollard for it ...

  • can it run crysis ;)

  • @anil567 tesla its for work, not games, dah!

  • @anil567 no

  • evga sr-2

  • is there any way to uilise this for audio production workstations? For running multiple daw's with tons of vsti's?

  • He put a tesla card in his Ass!!!!

  • @6:48 "I really don't understand, but its a great product"

  • Is it possible using a ordinary geforce graphic cards cuda cores?

  • He may have sniffed to much white powder before making this video

  • Will this make Mental Ray render images faster?

  • I have 2 of them.

  • Okay people, you CANNOT use this for gaming. This lacks any form of video-out connector, so you are not able to connect this card to any form of display.

  • @justinb93

yes you can, some Tesla features video-output.

  • @hateWinVista are you sure I'm pretty sure it doesnt

  • @jcostello117

I'm sure some do,C2050 have one.

  • hes not rly talking that fast o.o

  • why complain about his talking speed he is just trying to keep up with the card

  • omg omg omg SLOW DOWN DUSHBAG!!

  • This isn't for gaming. I hope you all understand that

  • how does crysis run on it?

  • @onlyadot

find "crysis running at 150 - 300 Frames NVIDIA Tesla c1060" on youtube,300FPS.

  • @onlyadot Its not a video card

  • i wish he hadn't over-clocked his caffeine intake

  • All this commercial jibberjabber,

why don't they start making stuff out of titanium? The possibilities are endless, but I think they want to rip us of our money for as long as they can.

A supercomputer that can calculate EVERYTHING in the universe in less than a goolge search resault is NOT impossible. But that's looking out of the box.

Also, they rather make copper pieces of scrap metal they call technology.

  • Can i still play games on it? Who cars bout medica stuff... wasteo f tech, i wana make a cluster of theses things

  • I need this for microsoft calculator?

  • @Sloppyalsop123

Not yet :) calculator only knows single precision, so you'll have to wait for double precision compatability.

  • 2:50 My computer supports 4 threads...

  • the way he says things, I think this guy is freaking faster than the workstation C1060

  • I'm a little ignorant on Tesla boards, and I have a question:

Will it greatly improve the calculations on RealFlow?

Now you don't have to care about your processor being i7 Extreme (for example), now being your Tesla the one that takes all the heavy load?

  • @bluetorch13

    Not at all.

Some scientific programme's are compatible with this new processing unit.

So when you don't actually know if you need this card, you don't!

  • @freestylerstyler Well, after doing some research, you are wrong.

I work with liquid simulation/animation, so this card will work for me. (the software is capable of using Tesla)

So, not knowing about the technology doesn't mean I don't need it.

  • @bluetorch13

That's what i'm trying to say. This is a very specialized model. It's got a lot of power, but in most cases, most people wont need it.

And still, that's what Nvidia is trying to make us believe.

Indeed, trying to simulate liquid is no childplay and needs a lot of vram and processors. That's where Nvidia comes in. But when you're talking about a scientist who uses adobe suites, a normal I7 will do. Although that's what you can't find in the users manual can you :)

  • @freestylerstyler true! ; ) I bet you my life that they are going to buy it for gaming and then talk shit because their GT 8800 gives them more frame rate. LOL!

  • @bluetorch13 This isn't a video card or a video card accelerator

  • @rysliv I'm 100% sure it's not. I never said it was. I said people are going to buy it thinking it is. They see the nVidia logo and think it's a video card.

  • @bluetorch13 Yeah i know you didn't say anything, about it being a video card. Just putting it out for others so they don't waste their money if they stopped watching before they showed it has no video ports. This card wouldn't make your computer any faster if you are a extreme gamer anyway, It wouldn't use the Tesla card for it.

  • i don't understand why a doctor would need such a powerful machine...

  • It's not XENON. It's XEON processor. The XENON is an LG phone I have.

  • I hope sony use this on PS4!!!

  • @8124138 Lmfao. A Tesla card is easily $2,000. I don't think Sony is going to make money off of a $2,500 gaming console.

  • that's why nVidia > ATI

  • wtf is that

how much frames persecond does it give on crysis

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • most of that went over my head, does it run crysis

  • @TheAntman2006 No it doesn't.

  • @NOOBNUT08 then it fails

  • @TheAntman2006 It was meant to save businesses money in computing power. Not to satisfy your need to get the highest frame rate in crysis. I guess you use it to get a high 3D mark vantage score with it but that's about it.

  • makes the PS3 and 360 look primitive ROFL.I might get this card lol

  • @xboxmodder02 YOU CAN PLAY GAMES WITH THIS CARD! This card was meant to replace a whole wrack of supercomputers and shrink it down to size. This card wasn't meant to get the highest frame rate in crysis. It's a tool not a toy.

  • @xboxmodder02 I meant you can't play game's with it.

  • @NOOBNUT08 How do you know?Do you own 1?Or have you even tried? I guess not.I guess your just going by what you have read up about it.From what i have been told by a girl i know personally who develops for the PS3 she uses a nvidia tesla pc for developing 3d models on.She also goes ahead and tells me that card runs the latest games just fine .

  • @xboxmodder02 It has no video output. It can't output video. It's meant to give you more processing power. It's more like putting more CPU's and ram in you computer then adding a GPU. Sure it does help with 3D modeling and very heavy apps but you can't use it a graphics card. And I happen to own one.

  • @NOOBNUT08 Most users that are Gamers wont be able to harness the true power of this thing, Only video editors. 3D Game modelling and other 3d stuff. Scientific projects. And stuff like that. Gaming takes very little CPU power and almost never uses 100% utilization of the CPU that is if you have a GOOD 4-core cpu, it will be around 20% during gaming

  • @rysliv It would be kind of interesting to see what kind of FPS you get with this thing, though.

  • @MBP6705 Really dude It doesn't do anything in games. Like he said its more for 3D modeling video editing and scientific stuff like MRI machines and so fourth. Imagine it like adding another computer inside your computer.

  • so that thing has a combined computing power of 312 GHz?

  • slow down fucker

  • @peruface maybe there could be video slow motion option on yutube

  • wtf is he saying

  • This technology is old, not new, its out for the sheeple because its anciently outdated for your so called invisible government.

  • I really need this! would make blender fly.

  • Is this for scientist and researchers only, or can animators use it as well??

  • His proposition about giving a workstation to each of the researchers/staff at a company/organization/institute vs a consolidated compute cluster tells me he should stick to reviewing/advertising end-user hardwares.

  • ok why cant cpu's be this powerful?

  • @jamalakj Because CPUs were designed to be good at serial processing. To gain performance CPUs were built smaller and smaller with higher and higher clock frequencies. Now we are reaching the boundaries of this technology and we have to go into parallel processing to gain more power. GPUs always have been optimized for parallel processing. Each GPU core is much simpler than a cpu core and much worse at serial computation alone.

  • you are all mad this is the most powerful card hence supercomputer

  • Pff. Intel's crappy little Tesla C1060 barely reaches 933 GFLOPS. AMD's HemLockXT 5970 gets approx. 4.5 TFLOPS.

  • @ByT3R Not made by Intel, it's made by Nvidia and also the Ati's Hd 5970's architechture isn't designed for GPGPU computing so you can't use it in the same way as a tesla or a Geforce card.

  • @Nvidiaguides Sorry, my mistake, I meant Nvidia. You can use a 5970 for GPU computing. Nvidia CUDA, ATI Stream. Same principle, different name. Architecture has nothing to do with it, and ATI still gets you faster compute times.

  • @Nvidiaguides

ATI won't run CUDA because it's NVidia proprietary but they run OpenCL which is on a technical level more powerful than CUDA and is just now ramping up to being used in commercial apps. We're talking real time ray traced rendering complete with SSS shaders and caustics at over 100 fps.

  • @Cadmium77

I stand corrected :) That is pretty impressive stuff.

  • can it play ping pong....i dont think so

  • @johnolazabal now u mentioned that

check out bruce lee vid playing ping pong with only his nun chuks!

  • @flipballaz93 This is a fake. They digitally added the ping pong ball afterwards.

  • @DaFish1337 but can u survive his one inch punch?

  • @flipballaz93 I don't think so...

  • @johnolazabal I believe so, anyone can on Windows XP (the operating system you can get on this) though Windows sucks, just putting it out there.

  • I just blew a load... thank you nvidia.

  • can it play crysis? doubt it.... only my gt 220 can.

  • @armydawg1292

It's not a Graphics card (GRAPHICS processing unit), but rather a "GPU" (GENERAL processing unit). It's really just a coincidence that it has a similar form factor to a graphics card and the same acronym...

  • lol in 20 years this will be a normal graPhics card xD

  • It looks GPUGRID supports it

  • lol nice dub

  • Ok since it's not for gaming... Why not get 2 of these, and 2 GTX480's, SLI the 480's together, get 12-16 gigs of DDR3 ram, an AMD Phenom II X6 or an I7 Extreme, four solid state drives in Raid 1 setup (atleast 500GB each), a 1500 watt Powersupply, four Blueray drives, A card reader, Water cooling, and a Motherboard to support all of that.

You'll never need a gaming computer ever again and still have the power to do all that Math ^.^

  • Bridge the 480's srry

  • @2Pyroz - Who the fuck uses Blu-Ray?

  • @cyborgtroy A LOT OF PEOPLE!!! Are you been living under a rock?

  • @GranKnight87 - No, I just don't watch movies. DVDs were enough of a pain.

  • @cyborgtroy 0_o? Really, why? Because of the double deeping?

  • @GranKnight87 - huh?

No, because they're encrypted and stored on optical disk, so they take up a lot of space and can't be transferred over networks unless you rip them.

Netbooks can't read them, my laptop can't read more than one at a time, the read speed is pretty slow anyway... It's mostly the fact that it's optical media that bothers me. Also, DVD drives are pretty loud.

  • @cyborgtroy Well I still like the DVDs and Blu-rays the most. If you buy a Movie on PlayStation Video Store or iTunes you still can't share 'em. Because of the Copyrights Protection or DRM.

  • @GranKnight87 - Well, yeah, iTunes of course sucks even harder.

DVDs are the least crap of all the ways to get movies, but they're still not that good. Which is depressing.

  • 4 of these in SLI!

  • this shit came from a meteor 100 years ago , aliens used it to make theyr low budget 2d games

  • HAHAHA, this is so funny. Not for 'regular people', used for 'oil exploration' lol ! This has made my day.

  • crysis :3 lol

  • imagine a gaming pc with 2 i7s and 2 of these with 16 gigs of ram and a couple solid state drives

  • @Austin55947 lol these things arent meant for gaming man. They dont have the crazy texture fill rate that gaming cards have, ie the GTX 480. These cards are meant for doing serious math/CAD/imaging work :D

  • @Austin55947 ITS NOT FOR GAMING ITS FOR NUMBER CRUNCHING
