@juddi90 roflmao mate, you and your fucking stupid stories, is it really possible for a koala to rip off a mans arm? Are you serious? Are you stupid? A man would of just beat the shit out of the koala and ill bet you seen a motherfucking wombat jumping out pulling someones leg right off too aye?
if I evar sat my food in australia Sydney, it would surely be only for 1 day. I would rather break a finger then sleeping a night over there. I know its something people get used to (having spiders arround and all), but still it must be a nightmare to live sleep day and night knowing that a spider that big could bite you accidently crossing it.
@larsaxelsen84 funny enough i have came across a few tunnel webs and 1 there fairly noticeable during the day, and 2 the most likely place in your house to have them is the bathroom and 2 although there agressive they wont charge after you, there a bite and run type, so if it gets into attack mode if your more then 5 cm away chances are it wont bite u , although thats my knowledge of FEMALES, males are apparently more agressive
If you think the female is scary, the male has venom 5 times as potent as the female, and in the summer months, he goes wandering for a mate. At my old house there were literally, and i'm not lying, 150-200 holes, including little baby ones, and a few massive ones
@jebacjutube lol? why would it be? god There have been 27 recorded deaths in Australia in the last 100 years from spider bites. Bites from Sydney funnel-web spiders have caused 13 deaths in 100 YEARS.
@adamscott There have been 27 recorded deaths in Australia in the last 100 years from spider bites. Bites from Sydney funnel-web spiders have caused 13 deaths in 100 YEARS
"antivenom" is the popular word......but "antivenin" is the technically correct word. I'm ONLY mentioning this so that anyone reading this can use the correct term in casual conversation at dinner parties. It will really impress the ladies ;-D
@WarriorPoet01 the World Health Organization decided that the preferred terminology in the English language would be venom and antivenom rather than venin and antivenin or venen and antivenene. looks like your incorrect
good day gustaria me to obtain a unit, I am student of Biology of gustaria Argentinean and to know to me if of some form podrias to send a unit to me country by system track and draws up? I you pagaria by wenster very valuable union thank you very much .seria the aid for my knowledge
Is their ever a time Funnel Web spiders are not in a strike position, even when they walk they cannot walk straight as their fangs are too big and cause them to walk on a angle, the worst thing is at night and if they come into your bed.
@mrzorkmaster since antivenom was developed no one has died from a bite. A bite would take days to kill a healthy adult, unless you're bitten on the chest, or somewhere near your heart. 99.9% of bites are to the feet. A toddler once died within 15 minutes of a bite to the arm; so children are at risk, but otherwise, harden the fuck up, it won't kill you.
It is said it is because of the heat in Australia and other places in the world that there is a lot of poisoned spiders and other poisoned animals. I wonder what if a country up north suddenly had heat both summer and winter, would that change the life of insects/spiders and other creatures around. Would there suddenly come creatures that wasnt there before? If so, they must already be in the soil, just waiting for the life.
if I lived in OZ i'd have to torch all vegetation around my home, torch my home as well, lay down 15 inches of concrete as a foundation and rebuild on that. then, i'd install spotlights and motion detecting flamethrowers around the yard.
dude its not this bad there not w8ting around each corner, man up we live with these each day and were not scared. Its not half as bad as u think ive only ever seen 5 of these and a couple of snakes its up north where the trouble is sydney is perfectly fine and brisbane cuz thats a damn fine city even tough i live in sydney i want to move to brisbane
That's why I would never live in Australia :) That's great that you helped with antivenom. I would't be so much brave to even close to the spider. Instead of catching him I would use two-barrel shotgun. Thank god for that harmless spiders in Czech Republic. Nasty creatures these funnels.... How can you sleep still in the night??
I just found one in my wardrobe, I let it go in the neighbours yard.

Males are actually more dangerous than females. The opposite is true for most other dangerous spiders.

The females by far. Males have enough to kill any human adult, but females have 5 times that much. God I'm so glad I live in America.
