Thank you for this. I'm on an artschool and i'm trying this with my class. It's been an success till now. I'm going to try Basil tomorrow! Thanks again.
thank you for the tutorial! I ended up making a sifter from a wire coat hanger and some nylons I had lying around. I still go the same result (just not the same shape!) Many thanks from creative person stuck a dorm room! :)
This looks AMAZING! :) I just came back from Venice with a new calligraphy set complete with a new quill, ink, wax sticks, and seal stamper. I am so excited to start making my own paper for my correspondence with my family abroad! :) Thanks!
Thank you so much for the inspirational video. I liked your calm relaxed yet very stimulating approach to the creative process of making paper. I will check out your website and get a kit soon.
I don't know why the e-mail address did not work, so thank you for bringing that to my attention so I can check into it. I am so glad that you sent a message on Facebook so you can get started into the really fun and easy world of Papermaking!
My parents gave me a papermaking kit for Christmas and I absolutly love it! Thanks for the extras and cards you put in. I have made 17 sheets so far and can't wait to make more. Thanks for your help :)
To: TheCosmicChuck..Just to clarify, I do say that I grab an extra napkin, not steal one (they are actually made of paper) and I include one with my 12 x 12 kits because they are my favorite and I am fortunate to have the restaurant let me buy in bulk in the town where I live. :)
This is so AMAZING...WOW!!! I cant wait to try this on my own! U really have talent!! Thank you for inspired me!!! Please tell me how can I buy your kit?
I am so glad that my video is helping you and others to see that even though Papermaking has been around for thousands of years, I can translate the ease of ripping up junk mail from the 21st century to make gorgeous pieces of paper just by adding something simple like spices, grass, leaves, flowers, or lint out of your drier! :D
Alice, I have watched quite a few paper making videos on here and yours is my favorite. I thank you for the excellent instruction and good video. I can't wait to try making some of my own! I'll definitely be checking out your website.
Thank you for the compliment on the video. The flower petals (Angel Wings) is my favorite dried flower to use because it creates so many different effects. I have them available on my website and I include them with the papermaking kits but potpourri or any dried or fresh flower is great to use. Dandelions are my personal favorite when they are available because of the gorgeous yellow and fiber it produces. :-)
Really good video, that helps to save trees. I think the point about getting flower petals from Thailand sort of goes against the grain of being environmentally friendly though.
Hi Marzenabn, Thank you so much for such kind compliments!
You do not have to use glue but I do suggest to use some kind of paper with the newspaper because it has been recycled so many times that the fibers won't be as strong. You can use gift wrapping paper, a brown bag, or even a microwave popcorn bag...just don't use one with extra butter! :D
Hi, Jackie. With the Papermaking "pour" method I am using, you don't have to add any glue because the sizing is already in the sheet of paper or the envelope being used and you are just recreating another sheet. With the "dip" method you would have to make alot of pulp and add some kind of binding agent to keep it together.
Hello dhwani, thank you so much! I added the cover screen which comes in my kit to place on top to get rid of excess water and sponged to set the flower. You can make plain paper just by not adding all the "stuff" in the blender and absolutely, you can bind and sew and treat the paper just the same as you started. :-)
WOW this is so AMAzing you have completely inspired me! I cant wait to try this on my own! Im getting married in April so im thinking about incorporating this into all my DIY somehow!

Hi, what a fabulous talent you have! You can use various cotton linters as well as cotton rag pulp. For a little color or texture you can use blue denim, gray wool, green, plum, and scrubbed corn husk. If interested in ordering you can e-mail me directly from the Paperalice site and I can give you more info such as how they come and price.
Hi Flippyprincess~Leaves are a little bit thicker so if you press them first they will adhere better in your paper. Using Cotton Linter or Abaca that I have available on my website will also help alot for they have thicker fibers to grab onto your items that you wish to add. Hoped that helped. :-) Paperalice
thanks paper alice for thr great idea you have shared,, i have used it for my school projrct, since we cannot purchased your product here in the philippines, so we make our own frame and all to produce such great paper, thanks alice, maraming salamat po!
i would just like to ask if it is possible to use durian husk in making papers just like what you did with the envelope? i totally need it for our project and i need an immediate response!
Thanks for the video anyway! Proves that nothing is a junk with recycling!
If the durian husk is like corn husk, you can put it in the blender and just make sure there is a plenty of water so the blades in the blender don't have to work so hard. If the husk is thicker and can't be ripped with our hands then soak it for a few minutes and then proceed.
This is a simply awesome and fantastic video, it was what I was looking for. I KNEW there way a way to make my own paper, and now I've seen it. I hate junk mail, but now I have a use for it.
