  • Do you have a wavemaker in this tank? I have a similar sized tank and I love the wave effect!

  • @MegaFishGeek No, the pumps used in this tank come with a wave maker.

  • That tank is sick.I have a 30gal aquarium myself. That im starting what is your opinion on lighting???

  • @chargin22 There are so many options available and all will work so the choice is yours. I have a video called "Reef Aquarium Lighting" where you may find the answers you seek. Good luck and thanks for the comment.

  • hey, quick question whats the benefit of the algae you've placed behind the torch coral or is that just for looks? thanks.

  • @jcowles13 That piece got stuck there and I let it be cause it offered a shade of dark green. No real reason for it there though :)

  • hi, i was wondering if it was dark outside... the tank lighting looks very dark

  • @jugglingbrothers Not sure what you mean by dark?

  • Hi again nys, now I've got my eye on a good 25g tank, but is long fine? it is 15.5in high. Just wondering about water flow, and swimming, rock and coral room. Thanks, Haz441.

P.S is a HOB refugium filter suitable?

  • @hAzArD0us441 I would go bigger if you are planning to add the animals you mentioned. Please watch my video on nano reefs vs larger reefs to get an idea and picture of what to expect if you go nano. Also visit my website for more education info :)

  • whats up man i knoe this was back in dec. but i was just wondering if u got the tripod yet .. im working my way up from old vids to new once so if u did and its in one of ur newer vids sry bout that if not just let me know man !!! and i reccomend you the DSC H55 10 x zoom and 14.1 MP just incase u want to upgrade again

  • @MasterTechRepair Thanks for the suggestions. Will absolutely look into the upgrade of the camera and research the one you recommend. I do have a trypod but when recording these videos, it can be hard to fully grasp the tank without having the camera in hand. I will work more closely into perfecting the videos even more as they are made. Thanks for watching the videos and for the feedback :)

  • Like you videos man !!! Check my 20gal slatwater fish tank i could use usefull tips im new to this hobby thank :)

  • @101brucelee Thanks. I will take a peek when I get the chance. In the mean time, learn as much as you can from the filtration videos and educational videos on my channel.

  • SICK TANK HOTTTT

  • @TheCrazy88tony Thanks. i have a 90g system I am rebuilding too. You may want to take a look at that one and a video is being released as we speak where I have added the live rock. Thanks for watching and for commenting :)

  • That's definitely possible. It's a method camera, meaning that it is probably perfect for certain purposes or for people who are only interested in having a camera for recreational use. I'm just saying that as far as digital high definition cameras go, it wouldn't be my first choice, especially for the aspiring photographer.. AWESOME nano tank though man, I just got an Oceanic BioCube 29G, and I'm tempted to model it after yours! haha..

  • @markrose21 Thanks :) I believe this was the first video I ever took with this camera and was recorded in MP4 format with 1080p 1440 X 1080. I have since recorder my videos on the best setting or 1080p AVCHD which uses the full 1920 X 1080 and it is awesome. Only problem is that I have to use Sony Vegas Pro to render the video into mp4 and it takes hours though. Thanks again for the comment.

  • @markrose21 You must have received a dud cause this camera is awesome. Take a look at some of my most recent videos after this one to see how I have messed around with the quality, and it is superb. Just read some of the reviews for it which are awesome as well.

  • Good camerea! I think I have one like it!:) Have fun with it! !:) Do you still like it?

  • @mannny37 I absolutely love it. I have many more videos in which I have since messed around with the settings and achieved better quality videos. Feel free to browse some of my newer videos. Thanks for watching and for commenting.

  • @newyorksteelo Haha, thanks for relpying! Ill have to do that! :)

  • Dude the new camera is awesome, quality is amazing especially viewing it in 1080p :) Keep up the great work :)

  • @Only1TunnTunn Thanks. I have released many more videos in better format so take a look at my most recent videos to see the camera at work. thanks again.

  • Hi i was wondering how you got the advertisments and if its worth it? as in do you get much money from it? Thanks

  • @Henry643 I am a full partner and by being a partner, I can have youtube pace ads on my videos for revenue share. There are many videos on youtube that tank about the partnership program so I recommend you check those out to get more info.

  • Ok thanks

  • Can you do video on hammer corals

  • @varsity1323 Sure can, but that will be one in the future as i stock the 90g system after rebuilding it.

  • i just got the kodak play sport 1080 p water proof it would take me 3+ hours to upload a 1080 p ten minute long video

  • @finger11yo It takes me like an hour os 2 to upload the 1080p video. The problem lies in editing and rendering a 1080p video that takes like 5 hours, adding he intro and outro in HD. It's a hassle in its own :)

  • is an LED lighting fixture as powerful, or more than a metal hailide?

  • @maxx56dog Please watch my video called "Reef Aquarium Lighting" to find the answers you seek. Thanks.

  • only 10 minutes not to long!

  • @RaffleReefer10 When the file is 10 minutes in HD, it is huge. If in 1080p the file is like 1.5gb for a 10 minute video :)

  • Hey do you know which adaptor i need? i have a memory stick pro duo from sony... can somebody please tell me the right adaptor name?

  • @reggaetono This camera can take many different types of memory sticks without an adapter. I also use a memory stick pro duo 4gb card. The best way to find out is if you visit the sony website. Good luck.

  • i phone 4 has amazing video quality, its almost like the video u capture is what you are looking at its amazing. ill have to upload a i phone 4 vid.

  • @31668999 Let me know if you decide to upload a video with your iphone. I will take a peep for sure, Thanks fr watching and for commenting.

  • @newyorksteelo sure thing bud, and no worries :) ill have to put sum of my reef shots in a slide show vid and upload it.

  • @31668999 Sounds like a good idea, but with the iphone, I am sure you can upload the video. Good luck.

  • has the camera got macro? u can get amazing fotos wit macro, u shuld check out my facebook to see my reef updates.

  • @31668999 It does have a macro function.

  • damn those poly extensions are amazing, how do u do it?????

  • @31668999 Good water quality works miracles.

  • 12 mp sweet bro

  • @31668999 ;)

  • This man newyorksteelo is like a celebrity. You need a cologne.

  • @APBusiness lol, it's not that serious :)

  • @newyorksteelo your my hero HA! I really enjoy your informative videos. I would like to ask you if a 20gal long is big enough for a 160gal aquarium

  • @dwayne3ish The bigger the better and if this were my system, I would put the biggest sized sump refugium i can fit below. A 20 gallon sump will not be enough to make a significant impact on a 160g reef and you have plenty of space below for a bigger refugium.

  • @newyorksteelo my aquarium manufacturer said the glass is 8mm so I've set the pin space 2 3/8" (9.5mm)

  • @THEBULLUK I would try and contact Ecotech Marine as they would be more than happy to help you solve your issue. Do keep in mind that because these pumps re powerful, some noise is expected. Good luck.

  • awsome makes ur tank pop with color

  • @triplesped Thanks :)

  • @newyorksteelo I've just setup my 2 mp40w es pumps both vibrate and rattle sightly I've aligned them and it doesn't make a difference did your mp40s do same??

  • @THEBULLUK Not really, I mean they do rattle a bit until you align them correctly. Have you properly situated the spacer for the correct thickness of your tank. My tank has a 1/2 inch glass and once I added the spacer correctly, no vibration was detected. Only thing you hear is the pump slightly humming when going full blast. Congrats on your new pumps :)

  • Hola amigo, any updates you have your new camera lol. Put it to good use lol

  • @dm002a8686 I do have the camera but i wont release any videos until me and newyorkbreeder come up with an intro and outro for my videos. The intro had to be redone and is finished, now onto the outro :)

  • Excellent! Finally HD! It does much better than my Flip.

  • @wesleyforbes Thanks man :)

  • Excellent! Finally HD!

  • @wesleyforbes Yep finally lol.

  • Honestly It Looked 3D On My Screen Bright And So Far That's The Best Looking 1080p Video I Have Seen Top Of The Line 1080p Cam. It Was So Bright I Had To Squint My Eyes!!!

  • @IMTHEMANWA3 lol, this camera can record in 3D but I must choose that setting and it can only be viewed 3D on a HDTV 3D capable. many more videos to come bro.

  • @newyorksteelo Man It Seems Like Its Poping Out My Screen ...LOL

  • @IMTHEMANWA3 lol, stop it now lol

  • Damn Man I Thought That Was Your 90 Gallon Lovin The 1080p What My Computer Was Made For ...Excuse My Mild Language

  • @IMTHEMANWA3 Wait till i fully stock the 90g system. I will make it better than the 30 for sure.

  • welcome back guru. very nice video and i love this in 1080p version crisp and clear i am looking for forward for your 90 gal tank and did you get your stand yet. any ways good luck with camera and looking forward for new videos thank you happy holidays

  • @ravi197699 The stand is at the local fish store and I should have it by tonight, however, I am planning a trip to Pennsylvania this weekend with the wify and may not make a video till Sunday about it maybe Monday :)

  • Good to see you back in action man. New camera looks awesome the picture is so vibrant and crisp. Looking forward to seeing your next video and the new intro.

  • @ojhuk I will probably upload the intro in a few days and to get some feed back from all before I use it on all my videos. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

  • How many heads do you have on the torch coral? How long does it take to get more then 1? same question for the trumpets or candy cane coral.

  • @taedom When i first got the torch it was only one head, now it has become three. The growth rate depends on many factors. Maintaining proper levels of calcium and alkalinity, maintaining high PH continuously, and knowing that phosphates and nitrates can stunt the growth or corals. The Torch went from one head to 3 heads in less than 6 months but once again, excellent water paramiters as well as correct major and minor trace elements supplementation is needed. Good luck.

  • Wow you finally got one and it looks 100% better than the older camera!

Looking forward to many more vids dewd.

  • @oconano Yep finally. If I say I am going to do something, consider it done lol. May not be exactly when I said I was going to get it lol, but I got it :) Thanks.

  • Great video, Sony cyber shot shows all the corals colours lol, might get one, look forward to more videos

  • @dm002a8686 It records in 3D too but you would need a 3D TV and glasses to view it :)

  • Nice camera. I've got the Sony cyber-shot dsc-t70 full hd 1080p had it a few years great camera, makes the same zoom noise as yours must all do it. I've done a hd vid of my tank with my iPhone 4.

  • @THEBULLUK Sony Cybershots are always good cameras. Even my older camera was decent for non HD video lol. Thanks for letting me know about the minor noise issue when zooming in, and thanks for watching :)

  • love the colour of your coral sand, looks great

    whats the secret?

mine is always dirty at the front, fine everywhere else, only at the front

  • @discoslot The secret is great filtration, and low nutrient levels. This will equal little to no nuisance algae growth in the system. Good luck and thanks for watching :)

  • man you just sold me a sony Cam, cuz of this video...lol tell em to send you a check nice video son...ill have mine up soon.....

  • @lickdastic88 I highly recommend it. It is really small and compact too. Thanks for the comment :)

  • now you can really see the water flow on that potato coral looks awesome keep em coming!

  • @kpshc707 Will do. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • big up's on 1080p look really good

  • @funkmaster100 Thanks man.

  • Incredible picture man... You know, my Cybershot has a really good anti shake feature during video... Doesn't yours?

  • @siloex What is it called and how do you access it on yours? I am sure this one has to have a motion sensor. I have to really get down and dirty learning all the features. It has so many :)

  • @newyorksteelo i just hit the menu button while in movie mode and i scroll to "Steady Shot". It has an icon of a hand. I have it set to ACT (stands for "Active") which it says is better for strong movements. The other mode is STD (stands for "Standard") which is good for moderate movement.

  • @siloex Thank you, let me go and mess with it a little lol.

  • @siloex I don't think mines has that or at least its called differently :(

  • @newyorksteelo damn. thats an awesome feature, thats too bad... it would have held you for a little bit on buying a tripod. Its all good though.

  • @siloex It has it man, I just discovered it last night, Its called stability (Steady Shot) and is build in to it. Go to sony style and when you see the cam, click on features, scroll down and you will see it. It also takes amazing 3D pictures man. I was messing with that today but can only see it in 3D on the camera. I would need a 3D HDTV to see it on the big screen, Awesome camera for the price man and full of features I have yet to even discover. Thanks for the heads up :)

  • Hey Steelo, Video looks great here @ 1080.. You mentioned the sound when zooming.. If you are speaking when you zoom it is much less noticeable. Also in general the sound seems better not to mention the Video and colors are super vibrant. Looking forward to what is next (whatever it may be)

  • @waynecreech Thanks Wayne. The next video may be coming up tomorrow or this weekend.

  • how do u get your cheato to stay in place?

  • @hilo123 I wedge it in between the rocks :)

  • Thanks for the shout-out! nice cam, does great job on our side! :~)

  • @tkdhav Anytime man. thanks for helping me with the banner :)

  • that blue sponge or w/e is epic make a video on that

  • @kpshc707 Will do one in the near future :)

  • It's Alive..........What are you using for your deep sand bed in that tank?

  • @manamal1 Good quality live rock and thats it.

  • @manamal1 No I am referring to your sand bed you have in there not the live rock. Like what brand or type are you using as your sand bed?

  • @manamal1 Oh. Natures ocean Bio Active live sand. Natural white #0. Very important the number part cause it determines the grain sizes.

  • @newyorksteelo Oh ok. Thanks. Is this sand better or just as good as real live sand that some of these real fish stores sell?

  • @manamal1 This particular brand and CaribSea are the ones I have used for years and would not use another. I also make sure it is live sand that comes processed and packaged in water. Good luck.

  • What happened to the acrylic vs glass tanks

  • @Aperfectcircle5 All those videos after coming buddy once the intro and ending are done :)

  • You speak spanish bro

  • @Rolandofishtank Of course man lol

  • that tank is HOT!

  • @knglee3rd Gracias!

  • guys 1080p looks better when ur using full screen but for some slow computers it will lag in 1080 so watch in 720p =)

  • @newyorkbreeder Yeah. When I look at it from my desktop, it works great in 1080p, but when I try to view it on my net book, I can only view it in 480p. Go figure.

  • @newyorksteelo It looks even better if you play it on an HDTV... OMG it looks AMAZING

  • @siloex Dang, now you gonna make me hook up my desktop to my HDTV lol.

  • nice videos as always! and grats on the new camera dude

  • @JulianSurf3rPR Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • Stellar Quality!

  • @lmposible ;)

  • @newyorksteelo hey I think you forgot to put the shout outs names on your description.

  • @lmposible Working on that, I have to add some annotations as well. Thanks.

  • great video :)

  • @spsaquaria Thanks. Got another one coming maybe tomorrow ;)

  • Finally man!!! Great shots, the tripod will help allot!!! When the camera is still, that's when the focus works properly! Nice camera Steel !!!!!

  • @sputnik790 Thanks. I should get the tripod by next week :)

  • anytime I see one of your tanks they are always so amazing and inspirational. Seeing your tank it makes me want to improve mine to reach it at the level yours is. seriously that is one nice freakin tank

  • @LLynch2493 Thanks man, 6 months of planing and setting up, and this is what i have created lol. Have you ever seen the movie castaway with tom hanks? There is a part in that movie that he makes fire for the first time and starts chanting "This is what I have created", man I did the same thing the other day. LOL

  • @newyorksteelo Hahaha yeah I seen that movie lol. you must deffinetly put alot of time, care and hard effort in your tanks because they come out looking amazing especially with that new camera

  • @LLynch2493 lol, dud I kid you not, I said it exactly like tom hanks said it and my wify looked at me like I was an idiot lol, We both laughed about it though.

  • @newyorksteelo hahahahaha

  • looks great i think i saw the intro on breeders channel for what i saw looked good man u doing big things on youtube did u ever think you would have 1000 subscribers and that u would have everyone waiting like crazy for u to upload videos. thanks for all your help.

cant wait to see what the 90g sysytem turns out to be

  • @pulga2389 I never even though I would be making an edicational channel, let alone 1000 subs. I just one day uploaded a video on my diy sump refugium and it just went off from there. I never thought I would make partner, nor that I would be able to customize my page, nor that I would have an intro video lol, man all of this is just happening one after the other. I even had a guy offer to send me a Deltec MCE 600 skimmer man. That skimmer is 500 bucks alone. Amazing :)

  • Beautiful video, awesome camera

  • @trackwalker Thanks. I cannot wait to see my 90g system wall to wall reef with this camera. Thanks for watching.

  • Beautiful, absolutely beautiful dude! Thanks for all your generosity.

  • @bilbobag111 And thank you for your support :)

  • Have you got the stand yet. Nice camera

  • @jaredwilliams221 The stand will be here tomorrow and the hard work begins this weekend :)

  • No doubt worth it

  • Can't wait for the intro.

  • @javier91782 I actually have the intro here and may upload it later on to let people comment on it and what they think about it.

  • Nice clear picture. Only thing that sucks is it takes triple the amount of time to load the video now because of the quality..lol

  • @krug1313 Yeah. I took a little over an hour to get it fully processed, when before it was merely 20 minutes. Well worth the wait though, cause when I watch other peoples videos in HD, it just looks way more better.

  • Great picture quality. 30gal looks crisper.

  • @phackshaw :)

  • Nice to finally see your vids in HD W I D E S C R E E N !

Does your camera have image stabilization?

  • @kevinrsp Yes it does, I have to learn to mess with it and will get a tripod for it next week too. go and check it out at sony and just look for WX5

  • Wow awesome quality bro!!!!! Btw i saw a sneak peak of the intro video is really nice. Looking forward to the next video, learning a lot man thanks to you keep up the great work( this hobby is awesome )

  • @Rolandofishtank I couldn't agree with you more that this hobby is truly awesome. Thanks for the comment.

  • so glichy for me

  • @ryjack26 You have to put it on 720p or 1080p :)

  • @newyorksteelo thats what i meant, glitchy for 1080

  • @ryjack26 Oh, looks really sharp over on this end though :) I don't know!

  • @ryjack26 I think I know why you say that, its cause i had to upload it in MP4 format. This camera records full 1080p and 1080i but in SVCHD format. YouTube will not allow me to upload this format which is the best. The 1080p in MP4 mode for PC use can only be 1440 X 1080, and this may be why. looks really clear here though.

  • camera's awsome man good buy....tank looks great

  • what is the green stuff behind the torch coral

  • @mastertdog334 Some Chaetomorpha Macro Algae. I move some into the main display from time to time to get lots of life in the main display too :)

  • holy crap with that new camera if you look at 6:45 that hammer coral i think its called is really popin out green nice

  • @zacguitarshreder12 Yeah, it is definitely doing a way better job, and worth the $300 price tag, especially since it does videos in 1080P. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • play with macro! my canon has a beast of a macro lens as im sure the sony will too!

  • @TheWarOrphan This Sony has so many more features than the older one I have, it actually had me confided and scratching my head for an hour lol. It also has like 7 or 8 different settings for the white balance, which the old one only had 4. The best video quality comes in SVCHD but YouTube does not take that format. I had to use the MP4. I highly recommend this camera man. Thanks.

  • woowee. that camera is no joke. congrats man. i really dig the zoom.

thanks. i look forward to more vids

  • @mofoglenn333 More to come. This camera and the TX9 are the top of the line for the smaller cameras from Sony. And i forgot to mention it records in 3D too.

  • is that bright blue thing in the lower right corner a sponge... i don't know too much about types of corals in sponges and such

  • @manta965 Yeah. A blue photosynthetic Sponge that requires light to survive. Very hard to find and my prized piece in this system. Thanks for watching :)

  • Tank is looking good! cant wait for more videos.
