  • Good music choice at 1:25 Tabla Beat Science rocks!

  • i think it's too bad, that the summit became a fckn place for tourists with too much money! Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay are the guys we should respect!!! so now it's time to conquer something new...the Mars would be cool, huh?! xD

  • and on the summit they dream of a fckn cheeeeeeeseburrrgerrrr!!!! :D :D :D

  • I wanna climb Everest so bad. Look at that freaking view. I DGAF how much help I get.

P.S. Sherpas I give y'all mad respect they set all the ropes for the groups

  • what talk the people at the start of video?

  • very nice TL lamp colling light

  • you had shepas assist you, ur wise :)

  • What are people talking about? You can see the curvature of the earth from sea level... just go to any coastline and have a look at the ocean.

  • @N37BU6 it is a lot more pronounced from up there

  • @ballickmoyler

I know. I was referring to the people who were saying you couldn't see the curvature from up there.

  • Don't take any notice from the two spackers below they are as funny as chris evans and russel brand and they are dole scroungers too. If you need any advice about Everest ask the fat bitch next door she shagged the salesman and ended up buying a load of crap from St helens instead.

  • Bloody marvellous vid, spectacular!

'Ere I've got a joke for you though, so listen. What's the definition of a diaphragm? A trampoline for schmukks!

  • @jizzspraya And what has this "joke" got to do with Mt Everest???? Why i bet yo mamma so fat, she's got a bag o' hot dawgs as a neck.

  • Perfect weather dude.

  • i wish i was rico rodriguez from just cause 1 & 2, his grapple hook and parachute is all i need. lol

  • I think they are climbing to the summit pyramid in the Norton Couloir way, not the north east ridge, second step... anybody knows??

  • @rhomai it was in june most people summit in may

  • hmmm, i am surprised the route was not crowded

  • whats the song

  • I think that to truly conquer a mountain, you must do it under the most extreme circumstances possible.

  • too many empty oxygene botlle littered over everest

  • @marcusbondi how does his ascent compare to reinholds?

  • I want to be the youngest person to ACTUALLY climb Everest. Not cheat it by using oxygen. I have been training my entire life for this. Jordan Romero actually wrote a book about how he "conquered" Everest. YOU DIDNT! It let you be dragged up its slopes and back down safely. No one has or will conquer Everest. It is a mountain of dreams and the only thing we conquer up there is ourselves.

  • @jamiepercy1001 well do a favor and cut all the ropes throw the damn Second Step ladder down and then people will have a great challenge once more.

  • @davidleealford agreed!

  • @davidleealford I'm not usually one to piss back at people who make negative comments, but you should know that the second step ladder was installed by the first ascent party. So to say "once more" is a bit of an un-truth. Unless you've actually climbed the second step without using the ladder, that is...

  • @jamiepercy1001 You have to be up there within reaching the age 15 then.

  • @jamiepercy1001 Then study up on Reinhold Messner & Tim McCartney-Snape - both went free solo summit on Everest without bottled 02. Tim acclimatised by walking from The Sea of Bengal, thru India, to summit with no support, no ropes, no supp 02, no Shepra or crew and skied down. Bottled 02 brings the summit 'down' about 10%; to c.26k ft.

  • @jamiepercy1001 without oxygen? dont try to be heroic. that is what gets you killed

  • @jamiepercy1001 it's shameful that you say people cheated by using oxygen. that's not cheating, that's being smart and realistic. doing it without oxygen doesn't make you sound better, it makes you sound like a complete idiot because you'd only just kill yourself.

  • @jamiepercy1001 what ever you say fucking superman!!

  • @jamiepercy1001 Man. How old are you.

Jordan Romero did climb the mountain, Chomolungma. I think he put alot of hard work into everything including his other summits.

  • @jamiepercy1001 In fact, my life's ambition is to climb K2, but I don't care about being the 'youngest'. It doesn't prove anything to anyone. Although I am the youngest Welsh person to summit Kilimanjaro, mainly because not alot of young people have summited it.

Well good luck to you on future climbs.

  • @jamiepercy1001 For the most part, I agree with you. You do not conquer this mountain, it conquers you.

However, I do not believe that bottled oxygen is cheating- if I ever climb Everest, I would use bottled Oxygen, because I owe it to my family to get back down in one piece. I have tremendous respect for those who do it without, but I could never do it without bottled oxygen.

  • He did fine, there is a difference between ambition and stupidity, to attempt without oxygen is ridiculous, training might decrease resting heart, oxygen efficiency / use ect.... BUT

If your body itself is unable to inhale sufficient oxygen because of high altitude low pressure then you will die or go ill regardless of how much training you do. You cant expect to train and then make your body run on a tiny fraction of the oxygen it gets at ground and still be normal.

  • @jamiepercy1001 lol it isnt chesting when you use oxygen its still very hard :P

  • @jamiepercy1001 A thirteen-year-old has already summited Everest (with oxygen), by any standards, that's impressive. Whether climbers use oxygen or not is personal choice: getting to the summit is one thing, getting down safely is another. With that in mind I would stick to oxygen.

  • @jamiepercy1001 No one cares. You are a fool.

  • @jamiepercy1001 How is using oxygen cheating?

  • @jamiepercy1001 Hillary and Norgay used oxygen... Does that mean they "cheated" their way to the top?

  • @jamiepercy1001 Its not 'cheating' to use oxygen, there isn't enough oxygen at that height to sustain life, so good luck with that deathwish.

  • @jamiepercy1001 Go do it! No-one is stopping you! I wasa actually working as a guide and videographer, and almost unanimously, guides will tell you that climbing with Oxygen is the only way they can responsibly be able to help their clients in time of need. I know dozens of people who have summitted w/Oxygen, and they all came home with all their fingers and toes. I know 3 who climbed w/o Oxygen; 1 died trying, and both of the others had at least one digit amputated.

  • @jamiepercy1001 google "Ivan Vallejo" he climbed the 14 highest summits over 8000m without oxygen supply. so go climb something else to be 1st.

  • how much was it to climb

  • @ninjabomber1 many expeditions cost about $60,000

  • Unbelievable! You can actually see the curvature of the Earth in those views. I would love to do something like that. Reading about others is nothing because it is easy to imagine what it would be like to walk the "relatively easy" Western Cwm to Lhotse Face, but could never physically feel what a challenge it really is. I have great respect for climbers who summit this mountain.

  • great filming and great view! thanks for upload.

  • i want to climb it by 14 yrs, its unrealistic but i want to

  • @ninjabomber1 It's not unrealistic, the youngest climber was 13.. You go boy :)

  • i want to climb everest. it would be sweet to be the youngest person but i have to wait till i graduate colllege because my parents wouldn't let me. I have to climb everest because i'm afraid of heights so the only possible way for me to cure that fear is to stand on the highest place on earth

  • pure ego. if you wanna blow 100K, why not stay home and spend the money on something worthwhile...?

  • @marcusbondi, that's frickin awesome. what peaks have you bagged? i know it's not much height wise and it only goes at 5.6, but my buddy and i will be doing the grand teton pretty soon. i'm excited. when you say free solo, do you mean free or free solo (sans rope)?

  • @possum2082 i live in jackson near the teton if you do that you have good reason to be proud

  • We need to know the name of the song or the artist or similar artists! Pleazeeee!

  • Noo... can somebody tell me the name of the song ?? Its Beautifull !

  • Le rêve de l'impossible

Si l'on ne pouvait pas rêver l'homme ne serait plus rien.

    Merci

    Super video

  • gotta be one of the most physically challenging things ever

  • Nic dodać nic ująć - PIĘKNE ! ! !

  • If you use bottled oxygen it reduces the 'summit' to c.26k ft. IMHO, to 'conquer' any mountain, it must be done free-solo, unsupported and without supplemental o2. Train hard.

  • @marcusbondi have you done any as you described?

  • @possum2082 hi Poss- yes, I only ever free solo - with no supp oxygen or external 'support'. I have climbed grades higher than anything on Everest - Tim McCartnety-Snape's free solo no supp-ox ascent of Everest is teh most amazing Everest feat ever. Best regards - train hard.

  • wow :-)

  • ma chi sono quelli che parlano all inizio e cosa dicono

  • IFew hundred people died there.....some trying to be first from their country, some were trying to go without oxygen tanks everyone tried to prove something but only thing they proved is that that mountain is very deadly .....so if you want to be the first or the youngest from your country think first..cause it may just happen so that you'll be just another name in a long list of people that died there....

  • @Vetal83 It doesn't matter how old you are, thinking first isn't really necessary, anyone has a risk of death climbing Everest- the more so when they are less fit, are less equipped, have less training, are less tough and especially when they make poor decisions. The deaths on Everest are in the 200's, and many people proved the mountain is deadly indeed. But over 5000 people have proved themselves as being one of the few lucky people to stand on top of the world.

  • @FishinGuitarMad so what do you get from being on top of the world? You not the first and not the last!!it's not worth risking your life for such a small goal,i wonder if the families of those who died there think is that they loved ones are so lucky that they were on top of the world but never made it back!

  • @Vetal83 I have spoken to two Everest summiteers, and met one. One of them has the British record for the most summits- 8. (Kenton Cool). These guys are fantastic, and both have told me being on the top was 'EPIC!!!!' and 'totally awesome!'- and probably the best moment of their lives. You don't realise what a HUGE goal it is for some, it depends on how much you value your life. Yes there's a lot of risk, but if you have a dream you will do whatever it takes to acheive it. It's living the dream.

  • @FishinGuitarMad Yeah right the best moment of their lives???Come on man,,,,,,a dude who lived in the Soviet Union told me .....it was the best moment of his life to go to Depeche Mode concert(believe it or not)even a birth of his child wasnt so important!!!I believe that it was EPIC for those guys but........but was it better than a birth of your child or was it a best moment of their life ?????Come on man.....you can have every moment for yourself if you cherish it(just like you said)

  • @Vetal83 "It's not worth risking your life for such a small goal" Small goal? Hahaha you're stupid.

  • @usmcpvtswat stfu

  • Finally! Someone posts being on the top!

  • Man, watching these guys really makes me hope i get the money to finally get ice gear and start hard winter climbs, been way to long for me

  • How much time do you have to spend in the summit, do you have to picnic there or just go and stay just like 10 minutes and come down or place your flag there?

  • Ohhh man climbing the summit of everest is my dream, I'm just 16 & I want to be the 1st Afghan and the youngest to climb Mt.Everest, too bad that I'm not a mountaineer but I really wanna be, the problem is that in Afghanistan the security is 0% for me I wish that my dreams come true & there are lots of dangerous Mt in Afghanistan just like Mt.Sulaiman, Mt.Baba, the White Mt & more around here like Hindukush & ... & I'v seen Mt.Sulaiman & the White Mt from just like 5KM.

    Give me some tips please.

  • how can people say its selfish to climb everest? i say good on the people who are brave enough and who are physically cable of doing this awesome adventure. if you dont like people who make the most of their lives then dont watch these videos. great footage by the way and cheers for posting.

  • is there some actual climbing or you can achieve the summit by walking?

  • @estderoma Climbing in the icefall, Lhotse face & Hillary Step. Mostly just jugging up fix lines but if your the one fixing them it's technical.

  • @549neo did you get there?

  • @estderoma Climbing your going up so it have to be climbing especially near the summit.

  • im guessing they climbe everest at summer.the person that dares to climbe it in the winter got real balls between hes legs

  • people climb Everest for sport, the feel of achievement of doing it and other reasons and not all climb for the same reason. It is only a selfish pursuit if people perceive it that way and let it bother them. If people think it is a selfish pursuit, that means they give a shit about the people who do climb. People endanger themselves in many other ways, so aren't they considered selfish pursuits. I would say just as selfish as climbing a high summit.

  • @2arunout .. you make good points but I still think it is at best a burdon on family and friends at worst selfish

  • @sweetfly66 fare enough. I think people put their lives on the line for different self endeavors, besides climbing an Everest. We both have strong opinions about the subject. Good evening!

  • easy peasy lemon squeezy... NAT

  • very cool video... im surprised by how much garbage is at the summit.

  • extreme climbing is a very selfish pursuit

  • @sweetfly66 why? Then that would mean anyone's pursuit of anything else is selfish because he or she are doing it for them selves....or are they?...I would say it is an adventurist pursuit alone or additionally.

  • @2arunout ... That logic ignores the dangers and time consuming aspects inherant only to extreme climbing . For example , if I want to pursue a black belt in karate I go to the dojo three times a week for an hour and a half . Contrast this with someone who wants to climb Everest or K2 ... first , there is a decent risk of death .. an even higher risk of coming back without fingers or toes .. and the time it takes to pursue these endeveours is ridiculous ....selfish pursuit

  • @sweetfly66 So you think climbing Everest or k2 only done out of selfishness? What about the sense for adventure. I know it is rare in today's society, but people are adventurist. Then climbing is also a sport. And not all climb for the same reason. And most climbers do train before climbing Everest and most of them have years of expereince, and the same goes for any climbing endeavor. People are selfish when they drive. Human beings are selfish, as their chosen pursuit in life effects others

  • @2arunout ... when you get to the top of the mountain who benefits ? Certainly you cant tell me that people climb for the benefit of others . No , people climb because for themselves . It is an inherantly selfish pursuit . And when its done at the extreme level it becomes even more selfish . How does the climbers family feel when you are away for months at a time risking your life and spending a small fortune ? Worse is that there is no benefit to the risk and financial investment .

  • @sweetfly66 And when you earn that black-belt who benefits? You that chose to pursue the path to earn it. And family would may proud of such an accomplishment as one's family may be proud of a loved one for climbing mount Everest. To say everyone climbs a mount Everest all for the same reason would be naive. For some it is a sport. Some climbers climb in teams. And so the sense of accomplishment achieved is similar to that of one who pursues and A in a course and succeeds.

  • @sweetfly66 I benefit from people climbing Mt. everest. It keeps my dreams alive, and without dreams life is not worth living. When someone helps other people they do it to feel good about themselves so basically it's a selfish act too. I try not to judge other peoples way of living and so should you.

  • @Lasse555 ... I understand your point that extreme climbers can be an inspiration to others but for everyone one person inspired there are ten family members worrying half the year that their father , son , brother , mother , daughter will not come home from K2 or Mt. Everest . And at the end of the day , what has been accomplished by reaching the summit ? How has it benefited anyone besides the climber . Its not like space where they do medical experiments .

  • @sweetfly66 I have thought long and hard about this issue. Perhaps mountaineering is like crack to them. They're addicted to the thrill, the freedom and the fear. Just like an alcoholic family member, there's nothing we can do to stop them. When they make it to the top, it's huge. When they don't come back down, it's horrible. But, just like astronauts, they know they might not come down alive. It's the adventurer spirit in them that can't be broken till they just get tired of it.

  • @cowbellpeaceprize .... Addictions are inherantly selfish . At their worst they are physical in nature but most addictions are emotional and very selfish .

I just finished watching the series Beyond Everest . Absolutely breathtaking film footage and a no holds barred look into how dangerous extreme climbing is , and how SELFISH these climbers can be . They get to the top and turn around ... yippeee ... hi mom , hi dad , i lost my hands on Everest but i made it , thanks for the 40k it took

  • @sweetfly66 - they do medical experiments on everest. but even still, we get one life. as soon as our hearts stop and our brain shuts down then its game over. we might as well do something special otherwise its just a life of get up, go to wrok, come home, sleep.

And if you are one of the unlucky ones, then what an arena in which to breath your last in.

  • "Ready guys? 3..2..1.." *Jumps off*

  • @Adamdre

and just slide all the way down....just like that... haha.

  • I climb that Mt. Peak when I was about 7 years old, in the early sixty's . There is some place where one who reaches the top signs his name for the records. I forgot where is the book how do I find my old climbing team?

  • what side did you climb it from? the south?

  • the best video i have ever seen on youtube! Amaising! The third Pole

  • Amazing Video that`s right!

  • how much pack gear should you try to carry along with other stuff. Like when you go to bed on Everest what layers do you wear or take off since your so high. This will be my last climb on my Senior year.

  • Those iron ladders they have to cross would scare the shit out of me.. A lot of respect for those who climbed Everest.

  • Excellent video, better is on youtube by typing "escalada ao pico do itaguaré

  • Now time to take the easy way back - Skydiving

  • Amazing is all I can say ..........

  • ya se nota que no son euskaldunes!! con oxigeno no es lo mismo!!!

  • i

    i

    i

    i want the knife... :D

  • Good video! Thumbs up for me

  • That is amazing!

  • best everest vid on youtube!

  • absolutely totally amazingly awesome! great filming, great music, great spirit. i'd like to do it but realistically i've got goals more suited to my talents, although good on the people that survive doing this. btw what's the song called?

  • climbing everest costs about 50000$, and i already have 10000$.

  • Most people in the modern first world have been higher than Everest (airplanes) and it's pretty cool. I see no point in risking death to climb a pile of earth. ^_^

  • @HumanStrategy yeah i do agree. but it is the sense of achievement that people do it for.

i want to climb everest one day. but may want to give up smoking first.....

  • @drew2pac - You're goal is almost as hard as climbing Everest...and some would say a lot harder! Congrats, and good luck!

  • Loved it. Very well done.

  • wow !!!

  • amazing.

  • mystic

  • despues del nevado de toluca, escalare esa montaña

    ni yo me la creo

  • GROSS!!!! Enorme!!!!

Amazing how we see the curve of earth and climbers looking like astronauts of appolo Mission.

Reaching the Everest summit is seemingly a strastopheric experience!!!

  • Wow!

  • I hope to climb Mt Everest by the time i'm 20. I will be climbing Mt Aconcagua this year, hopefully after that Mt McKinley, with a Kilimanjaro/Mt Kenya combo after that. I hope that i can get a sponsor, but if i can somehow get the money, i could be the youngest Canadian to climb everest. that's my dream.

  • good on ya mate. Best of luck to you.

  • @HashbrownCompany You actually have an amazing dream, Good luck boy.

  • @HashbrownCompany ... or you could get a job and pay for it your self.... My hobbie is gambling... I should get a sponsor for that too... :)

  • @HashbrownCompany

All the best. I am a mountaineer too... and from India. Have climbed some peaks in Himalayas... I guess Mount everest would be easier than Mt Aconcagua... Wish you best of luck.

  • @HashbrownCompany I urge you to climb McKinley first. To get to Everest is a p[rogression & you will need the experience you get on Denali high up on the slopes of Everest.

  • @HashbrownCompany how do you poo on the everest? seriously. i heard that climbers just soil their pants

  • @HashbrownCompany I hope you do man

  • @HashbrownCompany Good luck friend!

  • @HashbrownCompany gj hope you make it

  • @HashbrownCompany well you can keep dreaming because its never gonna happen

  • or dead bodies

  • people have polluted even the everest peak

  • Yes, there's plenty of used o2 bottles etc., but I think what you're seeing at the summit are prayer flags.

  • There are no real rules in mountainearing appart from learn all of it in order to apply some of it.

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • song name?

  • palmistry - Tala Matrix

  • song name?

  • nice day to attempting...

  • I'm gonna be the first to summit w/ smoke breaks :P

  • Those clouds at 4:26 - it looks like you could just jump off any of the peaks and bounce around in them forever... ^_^

Complete madness, I'd love to do it... never gonna happen, though... but I can still dream... ^_^

  • But to people who go there, and have the money to do it, dont forget to be gratefull to the sherpas, native porters, who have helped thousands of people in last decades. Be friendly to Sherpa men who are kind and helpfull, responsible for the success of so many expeditions.

  • To people who want to be climbers:Average people can start climbing rock or trekking, is not very expensive. To go further into alpinism or himalayism you better be wealthy. Is very sad but low money people like me or a lot of others dreaming of being professional mountaineer, better forget about it. Unless you are a biologist, engineer, economist, doctor, etc you will never be a at Himalaya. If you work as a driver, or a worker in cleaning, suprmarket etc you better forget about it, sadly..

  • Well you're certainly never going to go making 35k a year. But you don't have to be a multimillionaire to summit Everest, though it certainly does help!

I might not summit Everest, but I'll certainly see the Himalaya's from a high (read: summit of a mountain) vantage point one day.

  • How much money do you need to start climbing ? Just joking..

  • how many days does somebody need to climb the everest, and how many days to go back to the base?

  • Depends.. from arriving at basecamp to finishing the climb, usually 6-8 weeks. Because many trips up and down the mountain are required to acclimatize and also to haul gear.

  • how much does it cost all the equipment you need for the climbing?

and how many oxygent "botles" do you need to carry?

  • crampons, picks, etc vary depend on brand and quality. Goretex is pretty damn expensive, but most people only go with the gloves. For O's, camp 3 to summit is usually 1 or 2

  • Running out of oxygen on the summit = certain death

  • All who climb Everest have acclimatized so if they did run out of oxygen due to a unforeseen delay to the summit one can make it without o´s.

  • Yes, you can make it down - in a coma. If you breathe bottle oz all the way up, you can't make it down on your own without it - no matter how much acclimatized. The body can't take the sudden lack of oz, especially if you already used bottles to get to C4.

  • Look it up. Quite a few people have ran out of o´s on the descent and made it back alive.

  • well, ive been to base camp and that was enough. You could do it without oxygen, if u were in the same league as Reinhold Messner!!!!!!!!

  • good job guys. i know how hard that must have been.

  • man, id be having a bit of breathing problems up there XD

  • actually, on everest you are supplied with oxygen tanks. otherwise you would get hape (high altitude pulmoary edena) and die.

  • Then id probably freeze to death! wait lemmie guess, you carry heat tanks too? lol

  • its been summited with out any oxegyn a few times now

  • Nimenicamine01 não tem neve pois o vento não permite. Ele a empurra para fora do monte antes que ela acumule.

  • song name plz???

  • darn no sound on my browsers...works fine offline

can any 1 help me plzz..

  • I'd love to meet him. The word "amazing" doesn't even do him justice.

  • god thats crazy. you can actually see the curve in earths shape

  • @Chaseyboeyy, No that is called "barrel distortion". Its a phenomenon with wide angle lenses.

  • @Chaseyboeyy

this is because of the camera. you can't actually see the earth curve from the summit.
