I live in America and know where you send your troops who has the longest sniper kill.Thanks.Can you do something like punch those cry baby shit talking hippies you have?I know we have them to but I let them know what time it is when I see them.
I used to believe Canada's armed forces were "invisible"; it never really occurred to me that this great but quiet country has an effective fighting force---until I saw this video! Wow!!! Now I think: don't mess with the Canadians! I particularly like the air force and the navy, especially the Collins-class submarines (I love subs). What I admire about Canada is they never interfere with anyone else. Thanks for posting and giving me a whole new perspective on my favorite North American country.
@jvmax100 Well, I am only first-generation American of Spanish (European) immigrants; I think European, behave European and only am American because I just happened to be born there, that's all (lol). And, yes, I will always love and respect Canada. After all, she is the "Europe" of North America! P.S. I love the national anthem, too.
yah everyone is all like "THANK YOU U.S.A." well I say "what the FUCK...you see our uniforms? do they LOOK like the americans? HELL NO!!!" I hate it, U.S.A. gets cradit for every damn military thing!
My dad was in the Air Force at CFB Greenwood and flew on the Aurora. He said that 17 or so Auroras patrolled our oceans.
He went to Jacksonville and saw dozens of P-3 Orions, yet something as simple as a broken radio would have the plane grounded until it was fixed. In Canada, say an engine needed to be repaired, they would just pop out the old one, have one ready to go, and the plane would be back in service soon after. Numbers are deceiving, the Americans are terribly inefficient.
Also, he said that Americans that would visit CFB Greenwood were quite shocked at how so few planes could do so much, and at the facilities that we have which can repair them so quickly and efficiently. Whoever said that we aren't the strongest military in the world is right, but we have historically been among the most effective in the world ever since WW1, even having the last 100 days of the war named after us, no small feat...
He was a Master Corporal and was due for another promotion but he left before finishing his second service contract. A bunch of technicians were coming back from the bases in Germany so they didn't need them all. Anyways, he was a technician responsible for the electronics and communications aboard the Auroras usually, he was in Greenland, Great Britain, the States, Bermuda, Germany, and the Azores. And he flew over the North Pole. I hope I can get a similar job.
I think it's important to have aircraft carriers. It's stupid not to have any because all the conflicts take place near our allys territories. Who knows who our allys will be in the future? We could be enemies with any country. Our army is getting bigger but where very far from any super power. Our equipment isn't old and shitty by the way.
Aircraft carriers aren't necessary for our military. We are primarily a land based force, and although we have a good air force and a decent navy, we aren't really the kind of country that tries to project its power and invade countries without any allied intervention, namely the U.S or G.B. For the price that it would cost to buy a Nimitz class carrier lets say, and outfit it with the proper planes and several thousands of crew members, we could do a lot more productive things to our military.
Oh and this is not to show how there better but to show how people dont know shit about Canada and they are one of the strongest fighting forces on Earth. Proud to be Canadian
Im a proud canadian who hopes to soon join the Canadian Forces. I say who gives a flying fuck whos better we all have our strenghths and weakneses Brittian, America, Canada and who ever else. As long as when the shit hits the fan where all shooting in the same direction
we dont have any aircraft carriers dude, we never needed to build them.
and we ARENT one of the strongest fighting forces on earth, after WWII we were 4th place in the world, but since then, fucking liberal gov'ts have ruined our military by draining its funding.
NOW, we are still the best trained, but our equipment is old and shitty, even our F-18's are like 25 years old
Age means nothing in the military. Technology is everything, and our Hornets have been upgraded fairly nicely.
Some of our Hercules aircraft date back to 1965 I believe, and they are still being flown to Afghanistan and back regularly. So much maintenance and upgrades are done that 50 year old airframes like the American B-52 are still in use. And F-18's are still widely found in Western militaries around the world, Super Hornet or not.
I dont care what any of you country haters say, Im an American and I love our Canadian brothers-in-arms. I would hate to see Americans or Canadians get killed. I have love for both sides. By the way, I'm in the Navy (boatswain's mate).
I'm with "Le Régiment de la Chaudière" , a french unit who made his name and his history during the WW2 . In May , that's gonna be my third year in the army .
The Canadian Forces are not as incompetant as many of the Canadians themselves think. The CF is currently leading the mission in Adghanistan, and NATO has asked Canada to take full control of the mission in 2008.
Canadian naval force has been protecting American fleet flanks during the entire operations in the middle east. The CF has very good logistics, better than most of the world.
Why does it always have to come down to who's better than who? Talk to any soldier in the alliance who has fought....they won't have a bad thing to say about one another because they are brothers-in-arms. They have a mutual respect for one another...quite the contrast to all the armchair soldiers on here who's only combat experience is playing Call of Duty or Medal of Honour.
powerseen wut the fuck did u just call me? are you fucken stupid or something? how abotu u get the facts before u go shooting your mouth off u dumb prick. canada invents things and sells it to the US to put to use.. meaning we have the same technology as them u fucken moron.
Yeah go canada i will wear the maple leaf anyday for my country. And one day it will happen im joining the canadian forces, We need more funding for our armies but i think we have the same technology as the americans but who cares there our allies.
Honestly I don't give a damn about who's country is better and who's military is best but what really annoys the fuck out of me is your horrid excuse for typing the English fucking language...Fuck man go back to school and learn how to write and/or type ENGLISH. "ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER CAN YOU SPEAK IT?"
omg... ok, the canadian forces have just as good if not better technology then the american forces, now that the conservatives are back in power the canadian army has tons of money as well.. america are our allies, quit fucken around, both nations/armies are great.
whats the song?

I am currently in training with the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve, then going to transfer to the Army after I get out of school.
Our training is on par with the American Army, and better in some areas, such as winter/wilderness survival. But we need it more than they do.
Don't count us out. Don't count on us being weak. Count your breaths.
