It sucks to be old. For those working, an $80 traffic ticket is a damn nuisance. For the elderly on limited income, $80 is a month's food allocation, or a needed trip to the doctor, or a significant portion of the rent. A court might reduce the amount, but most states make that process extremely burdensome and will often only reduce slightly ($60 instead of $80, for example). In the meantime, others whine about the elderly being angry & bitter. No shit?

@vidarjens Actually, we love being video taped. Probably one of our favorite pieces of technology. It is used in court when suspects try and deny something. We use it for OWI tests and helps a lot with traffic stops if things get out of hand. Video tape us all you want, you will just get a lot of funny and ridiculous things. Yes, I would bust a drunk cop, most police officers in my department (450+ officers) hate two things: crimes involving children and drunk driving.
