@netdemon Your body probably won't be in a catobolic state right away when you're hungry, it may take time. If you get 3 square meals you shouldn't be in a catobolic state. As long as you are getting your required protein and carbohydrate intake daily you should not have much worry during sleep. You're over thinking, just make sure you get your daily intake and if you are worried take your slow disgesting protein.

For anyone younger than 30, this is how you calculate your maintenance calorie intake:
Bodyweight in lbs x 11
Multiple the answer by 1.5 / 1.45 / 1.4 for ecto / meso / endo respectively
+500 to the answer to clean bulk, -500 from the answer to cut.
(The 500 number may vary slightly as everyone is different, but it is a great starting point).
