  • Yeah you shouldn't bulk if you're training for over 4 - 6 years, most people have reached their potential by then. What you can do is cut down to 10% or less bodyfat and maintain that sexiness, or lower your reps and focus on strength.

  • I'm in the same boat as Lui. 3000-3400 clas a day and I'm good to go. More and I get too fat, less and I don't gain. Does anyone else find it harder to watch their macros as a full time student? I usually just buy milk because it's so damn cheap and decent macros. Lots of fat though.

  • Lui, if your hungry is your body in a catabolic state? Also is being catabolic even an issue for someone who gets at the very least 3 square meals a day? Lastly, does sleeping without taking a slow time release protein take away from potential gains?

  • @netdemon Your body probably won't be in a catobolic state right away when you're hungry, it may take time. If you get 3 square meals you shouldn't be in a catobolic state. As long as you are getting your required protein and carbohydrate intake daily you should not have much worry during sleep. You're over thinking, just make sure you get your daily intake and if you are worried take your slow disgesting protein.

  • For anyone younger than 30, this is how you calculate your maintenance calorie intake:

    Bodyweight in lbs x 11

    Multiple the answer by 1.5 / 1.45 / 1.4 for ecto / meso / endo respectively

    +500 to the answer to clean bulk, -500 from the answer to cut.

    (The 500 number may vary slightly as everyone is different, but it is a great starting point).
