So I am going to be a little bit of a jerk here but just to clarify for everyone. Should we take measurements when our burette is not level? Do we say KMnO4 or potassium permanganate? and so its a ... very pale pink... Yeah right. That is not pink its colorless (the sulfuric acid at the end) (unless my eyes deceive) All said though it was a really good video. I especially enjoyed the unique camera angles and the clarity of the video. It will be a great aid in doing the lab!
1. Well, it's supposed to be in a perfectly vertical position with your eye in level with the meniscus for your reading. That's what I did during my lab procedures. Maybe, tilting it to the extent she did would be fine since burettes are very narrow.
2. They're both the same. KMnO4 is the molecular formula of potassium manganate(VII).
3. It was a "very pale pink". Observe it carefully.
This is some serious Chem. I was a geology student, and I couldn't even do the basic chem. I was more concerned about the rocks then the chem.
