  • after this show of chemistry i was excepted to some big bang xD

  • I'm not sure I could cope with not being able to see what i'm drawing at the end of the pen nib? I would prefer one I could actually draw on to and see what I was drawing under my pen.

    What do you think?

  • @BisonTony Yeah it takes some time to get used to the pen/computer interface. If you hover the pen above the tablet's surface and move it, it will be displayed on the screen as if you were using a mouse. Only when you touch the nib to the surface does it register as a 'click.' You can adjust the size of the drawing area of the tablet to better match your hand to mouse speed (ie. if you set it to have a smaller drawing area a small stroke on tablet = larger mouse gesture on the screen)

  • Boring

  • @TheGreenPenGirl Thanks for the comment. At least I made an attempt to demonstrate the product. Your videos are really interesting.

  • @miceblue425 Ignore the trolls, I found this very helpful.:)

  • That noise whatever it is....is so annoying!!!!!!!!

  • @MrFutbol4life Yeah it's my camera, I have no idea why it does that. -.-

  • dats tablet chemistry

  • Oh come on, give the guy a break. Everyone's entitled to do whatever they want with that piece of gear and the time they got on their hands.

If you find the video boring and uninteresting, just hit backspace and do something more productive than wow or lol or whatever.

  • Wow...If I had a tablet like that, I would learn how to draw an amazingly realistic bmw sports car and I'd learn how to draw Ozzy Osbourne, and then I would draw Ozzy Osbourne turning into a bmw over 1000 frames.

  • wow, I can only afford the small version and you have the medium version right here and all you are doing is drawing chemistry diagrams. I know you're just borrowing it but still, at least make it worthwhile. I know I would.

  • @CartoonWarStudios Like I said before, I am not an artist, I am an engineer. I wouldn't actually consider buying the Intuos for my purposes specifically (perhaps the Bamboo tablet though). I originally checked out the Intuos just to give me an introduction to the whole 'tablet computing' experience. Being able to draw out chemistry diagrams digitally was actually quite useful for collaborating with others since my scanner is much slower than drawing it out on 'digital paper.'

  • This is what you use the Wacom for?? It's a professional drawing tablet!! Wow lol

  • @SteveTheDesignGuy As I said earlier: My school allows students to check out various tech gadgets, so I decided to give the Wacom tablet a try. I'm not much of an artist, but it did help to draw out chemistry/physics problems digitally so that it would make collaborating with others a bit easier than scanning my page of notes each time I changed something. I don't think I would buy the Intuos just for that though.

  • minu shop wobis maksumus WACOM pliiatsi pliiatsiga bambooo 3 249 zł, sest mina elan Poola visiidi !!!!!

  • what happens when you run out of nibs?

  • @crazyballz96 You can purchase another set of nibs from Wacom's online store (or probably from another store such as Amazon).

  • Woo! Organic chemistry! :D

  • lol i remeber doing those dot diagram thigns they pissed me off

  • Is the nib wear drastic?

  • @dragonfire133 I didn't find it to be too bad when I used it. However, the nib does wear down similar to a pencil though, at a slower rate of course. If you write with only one side of the nib, that side will become worn/flatter over time. Wacom has extra nibs packaged with the Intuos tablets, so it's convenient to have backups if needed. The tablet itself didn't seem to get damaged by the worn/pointed nib tips so that shouldn't be too much of a concern.

  • what program did you use to draw in?

  • @ArcticVapour It's called "Seashore" and it's available for free on Mac OS X.

  • so how do you make sure where you draw is the correct place on the tablet itself does it sense it hovering or is it an actual button on the pen

  • @BioGamingLP yes its sences when you hover over it. when you touch the pen on the surface its like holding the mouse button, plus it has a left and right mousebutton too, and the top is an eraser

  • WTF.

  • why do we hear the pen clicking like 3 seconds before the lines appear? is there that much latency or is it a recording issue?

  • @zombierobopirate It's probably a recording issue. The camera itself makes a clicking sound when its auto-focusing, but there is some lag (from the camera's recording) between my writing and when you hear it.

  • @miceblue425 Latency is my main concern with this product, but no one seems to address it. How responsive is this tablet? Is there a noticeable delay when writing?

  • @zombierobopirate Nope, not from my experience (apart from buggy software on my computer; running Gimp via X11 on my Macbook with the Focus Follows Mouse option enabled). The tablet/pen were really responsive from when I used it on both Mac OS X and Windows. One thing that was helpful was that you could set an area on the tablet's surface to be active for the pen, allowing you to have a smaller writing space. This was helpful for me since I didn't have to have as long of strokes for drawing.

  • @miceblue425 Cool. Thanks for the info =]

  • ...please tell me you didn't buy the Tablet to do chemistry.

  • @cupOcappuccino Hahahaha, no I didn't buy it. My school allows students to check out various tech gadgets, so I decided to give the Wacom tablet a try. I'm not much of an artist, but it did help to draw out chemistry/physics problems digitally so that it would make collaborating with others a bit easier than scanning my page of notes each time I changed something. I don't think I would buy the Intuos just for that though.

  • @cupOcappuccino

i hope that too because you can do a much better job in a svg program :D

  • hmm cintiq is nice, because you can draw and see what you are drawing on the screen, there aren't as many adjustments needet to get used to it as much as on a tablet as intuos for example. But, most design company's even in game industries use intuos models and mb they have a few cintiq around the place. But totaly depends on for what kind of work you would want it.

  • I'm getting a cintiq for Christmas. Sooo excited :D

  • @HeatherFeather141 Nice! I would like to try the Cintiq some day.

  • What size is this?

  • @Dawni32 This was their medium sized tablet, which is 10 inches (width) x 14.6 inches (length) x 0.5 inches (height) in size.

  • this makes me so horny

  • @miceblue425

Is this small white/blue light on the tablet brighter, when you draw, or did I get it wrong ?

  • @TheMagohamoth Yup, it does get a little brighter when you write on the tablet with the pen. I think that feature is there to indicate that your pen is 'writing.'

  • Cintiq is better @_@

  • @kervin3233 That might be true...I haven't tried it yet, but it does cost more than twice the price of the Intuos tablet.

  • @miceblue425 it obviously costs more.. That's why it's better.. haha

  • @kervin3233 depends...intuos 4 have more pressure points than cintiq, it makes it better, but if u want a fancy and nice one, well, cintiq is better in that aspect.

  • @Mamusho that is not true, cintiq 21ux uses intuos 4 and has the same amount of pressure points

  • @pod26 right, but that one is soooooooooo expensive, so... even that intuos 4 is better... xD cause even with same pressure points, the cost is like 4 or 5 times more than intuos 4 ....... XD...

  • Can you see what you're drawing on the tablet itself.??

  • @dreamingLEENApro No you can't. You basically look at your computer's screen while 'writing' on the tablet. It sounds like it would be hard, but once you take some time to adjust the settings, you'll get used to it. I actually decreased the size of the drawing area on the tablet because I found it a bit awkward making large sweeps across the tablet to draw the same distance line on the computer screen (which is also why I would recommend the smaller tablet if you tend to write small on paper).

  • Lol, you did nothing that couldn't have been done with any other tablet.

  • that's medium? hmm..i was thinking about getting large myself.

  • @theLOWation Yes this is the medium tablet. I have a small desk area so I found it a bit too large for my preferences.

  • @miceblue425 This actually looks like a perferable size.

  • @miceblue425 lol same, my desk had only enough space for medium even though I wanted extra large :P

  • 1,5 dichloritehexan? You recomend the board?

  • @MargitHjukse aha, i saw your answer to the chemestry name afterwards, just checking if I still did remember, I did!:D

  • @MargitHjukse It's actually 1,5-dichlorOhexane I believe.

Yes I would recommend the tablet if you plan to use it for handwriting or drawing on your computer. I actually borrowed this from my school to try it out and it's pretty neat to use. I would recommend getting the smaller version of this table though since the one I used (medium size) was a bit too large for my preferences.

  • @miceblue425 ok. I plane to wait to buy one to my us trip in summer, lot cheaper. Mabey I also can try the diffrent size on some stores, so Ill find the right size:)

  • Is this medium or large?

  • @superbleeder98 I was using the medium tablet. I actually think it was a bit too big for me since my workspace is kind of cramped.

  • what program you are using?... awesomeness tablet!

  • @kat1pun4n I'm using a free program on Mac OS X called Seashore, which is a similar program to Gimp. Thanks!

I'm new to the whole tablet stuff, so I was just messing around with it. Hahahahaha.
