  • great cutting technique for layering! I'm practicing on some wigs that have gone to the graveyard. I so enjoyed your vid!!!

  • You hair is very pretty. Thanks for the helpful tutorial. Where did you find your earrings?

  • Thank you for sharing... I know I'm a tad late, since you posted this video nearly 2 years ago!!, but I am about to start on my natural hair journey and looking for all the inspiration I can get for those 'insecure' days!! Thank you :0)

    Stay blessed

  • Did u finger comb that hair to make it poofy

  • thank you so much for breaking that whole process down! awesome! loved it

  • What is hair color you are rocking in 8:53-9:08 and i like the brown color you have on when the pics start showing.

  • gimme those earrings, lol..those are lovely..good job on your hair...it looks GREAT!

  • I went out today and bought two packages of hair and made this wig. I absolutely love it. I did not video myself making it but I did the crown a little different. I am not tall and you would be able to see those two pieces in the top of my head.

  • I really like the look and I enjoyed watching you. My hair is natural and sometimes I like to change up and I started making my own wigs. I have to look for the hair that you used. Thank you

  • what exact brand is this hair? its beautiful

  • How long does the hair last could I sew it in

  • Love your vids! Question for you. I noticed in your pictures, your showing your part in the front. Did you just pull the wig back a little?

  • You fooled me, I swore this was a sewn in weave! Loved it!

  • Haha, I Love How You Don't Care What people Would Think Of Your Closure! :) Loved The Hairrr.

  • Love your earrings! Where did you get them?... Please send to my inbox... btw... love love love the style

  • Thank you so much....i wanted to do something different while my natural grows back out and these videos have gotten my creative juices flowing. Love the style and technique. Thanks again.

  • i really like your tutorial. i have tried making wigs in the past for myself but always never get the closing right. Thanks this vid is really useful.

  • I loveeeee this style.....I am going to try this tomorrow!!!!

  • Do u cut the middle for the part?

  • @jazlytrice no

  • @barbaydian261 so how do u get the natural part?

  • @jazlytrice did u watch both parts of this vid

  • @barbaydian261 yes, I'm watching the end of this video and u never did anything w/ the part..it was just the end w/ the wig cap being fully intact

  • @jazlytrice ....are you sure you watched the other one.... Lol cause I'm pretty sure I touched base on that. It's right before I get into the actual tutorial. The part that you Guys see is just from my dreads being braided to the side and then the cap sits behind that when I wear it... I don't cut it or anything

  • @barbaydian261 Okay, I seen it but I didn't know you pushed it behind your dreads..

  • hey there! i just discovered your video because im starting to train myself on making wig caps, thanks to u!!! so, my question is what type of bohemian curl brand do u use? in the video i still saw the shower cap as you went along. How did you cover that up in the end?

  • @6382smile they are two parts to this tutorial... all the info about the hair is included.... take a look at the other one, its been a while and i dont want to give you the incorrect info. the shower cap was ripped out once the cap was set and dried!!

  • Lol. Just realize your YouTube name. You must be from Barbados. Lol. I asked if you were Trini.

  • Great job i just asked my cousin to help me make this. I was jammin to the music. Are you from Trinidad.

  • It loos great. OK. so what about us short people who always have someone staring down into our head. How do you conceal the tracks/ i have never done this.

  • Hey there! The wig looks great! Might sound silly but I didn't realise it was possible for anyone to make a great looking wig cap so easily - I thought you could only buy them *blush*

I noticed in one of the slide show pics you had your photo taken with Mario and Luigi! Question: where was that? :) I have a similar photo actually - taken at the London Expo a few years ago when I was wearing electric blue hair extensions xD I'll have to put it on my videos one day and dedicate it to you!

  • how long does that wig/hair last? How long did take you to do this from beginning to end?

  • @chocolatehoney3 it took about an hour to make and the wig lasted over 3-4 months... i wore it on and off during that period.... it was nice to know that since it wasnt sewn in i could go back to my dreads in between and give the cap a break when ever i wanted to

  • how much did u pay for a pack of these curls ?

  • Hi your hair is beautiful where did you get youe earrings?

  • @tonitamiko1 I got a friend to make them for me.

  • I made mine & everyone loves it. I can't beleve how easy it was. I used a different brand & it worked great. Thanks.

  • can you sew on the cap once you remove the shower cap?

  • Love this! And u r so beautiful! :)

  • I'm 5'11 too :) but I'm gonna try this today! With an invisible part.

  • i love love love love love (one more time) love this!!! I'm going to try this!!

  • yes it looks great!! but you can do a lot of different closure parts that are invisable. especilly with curly hair!!! I dont know if itll work with locks but I use a swimming cap instead of shower cap. LOL its wierd but it works great!!!

  • So beautiful, but I'm still confused about the closure. The two track in the front aren't hidden? Looks good from here, but does it looks funny up close?

  • whats the song is playn durin at three min and fifty sec

  • whats the song is playn durin 3:50-4:00

  • whats the song is playn durin 3:52

  • Love it !! I would love to try this but i have too much locs!!

  • i love that look im gonna be trying it today ...do you like brush it out or some thing? i hope some one didnt ask this question already

  • @tashvanier4 i def do NOT brush it out... i use my fingers to rake thru and separate the curls!

  • ur so beautiful. and i love yor tutorials. thanks for this idea. and plus its easier to watch someone close to my complexion and face structure to see how a style will look. good job.

  • gotta make my first wig cap like u. i need to give my natural hair a break

  • I did it last night! You inspired me! I'm in process of locking too so this is perfect. I put my part on side tho... It needs t be cut cause I got 12 instead of 10. All they had she sold it too me at 10" price tho.. I need to fluff it out so it looks like yours!! I tag a pic on FB for u

  • I love it ! Love your video, love the result, thanks !!

  • can the hair be submurged in water? looking for a summer due and possibly swimming.

  • I loved the video- great idea while my 4 inch locs are growing out- Thank-You!

  • 5'11? Me too! Good to see a fellow tall sister doing her thing :)

  • I really enjoyed part 1 & 2 of ur video. The sound was fine because I still got the concept. I also have locs and for about the same timeframe.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • that was great

  • cause you make me want to jump....das my song girl

    lol

  • Wow great closure idea

  • giel i love it, i'm gonna give it a a try

  • Doesn't look like the earring question is being answered? Can you advise where you got those earrings? Or is it a secret?

  • @latorria07 I actually addressed the question about my earrings on the first portion of this vid and possibly this one as well..... either way i also made a vid just about them since i had soo many inquiries. never the less it was an idea i came up with and had a friend whip them up.... thats all... no secret!

  • Fab!!!

  • wat products did u use to care for dis hair after u had install it...

  • @srww1612 none... i occasionally spritz it with water to refresh the curl

  • Your vid was in my recommeded videos and I am glad I clicked on it. Your hair, make up, eyebrows & of course all the earrings are..........Fabulous!!!

  • I always wanted to make my own natural looking wig and this tutorial is great for me to use because I nave never made a wig, but i wear them.

  • where did you get those ear rings

  • I need those earrings in my LIFE! @Barbaydian261

  • You have a wonderful energy-keep shining...good video sis!

  • Have you ever tried this with straight or wavy over your locs? I'd love to see that.

  • Hi! I would like to thank you for posting this video. Because of your hair I went out and bought this hair and made my own Bohemian wig cap. I just combined your method with the semi weave method in Twingoddesses video and it came out beautiful! Thanks again!

  • how tall are you?

  • @JdaleBrooklyn16 pushing 5'11

  • @JdaleBrooklyn16

what inch of hair is this?

  • That was awesome. The only thing I didn't like was the closure, I'm going to have to shop around for a vid that shows how to hid it.

Love your locs too, by the way. :)

  • @whoiamisme this is just showing how I did it for me and my locs..... different strokes for different folks i guess.... maybe an invisible part might work for you.. they are tonnns of vids on here with that so it should be a breeze... lemme know how urs turn out

  • I have locs as well and I did my hair and I luuuuuuuuuuv it

  • your fake hair ---> is my real hair ;DDD

  • @MegaGigaVerka awesome

  • this looks beautiful on you!!

  • @shicaterry thanks.... imma bout to site down and do a review for the newest one in my latest vids..... longer looser curl

  • wigs are sooooo 17th century Europe!

  • where did u get those earrings? too cute

  • it loooks soo good on you wow!!! what did you use to keep the hair up and how long do you normally have it on your head?

  • @sushine003 i would mist a lil water on it as needed... no product.... it would stay on for about 8 to 10 hours.... a work day basically

  • Oh migod!- doppleganger alert ,the dude in the blue has a sightly older twin here in philly.

  • @TheSKYizFalling huh????

  • @barbaydian261 in one of the pictures you took there's a darkskinned brother wearing blue who looks EXACTLY like this city worker that mows down the fields where I live. Its trippy as shit.

  • Thank you for this tutorial! I made my first wig using it and the compliments don't stop! :) .. People ask me where I bought it and can't believe I made it! Thanks much!!

  • all that hair is only two packs??

  • I was looking for a wig to wear during the winter months to protect my and I think I may want to try this look. So looking at some of the other comments,, you use three bags of the Pro 10 Bohemian hair correct,,, and you also mentioned that you should not need anything longer than a 10' if you are looking for this particular style.

  • @sugawallz910 yep... correct

  • excellent : ))

  • You do this better than anyone I've found on Youtube. However, when I did mine, I did my part as an invisible part on the cap and it looks a lot more natural. Thanks for sharing your technique.

  • @MileSonjazz thanks..... the invisible part wont work for me since i have dreads!!

  • @MileSonjazz did you cut the cap along the part ?

  • @blacklily624 No, I didn't cut the cap. All of my hair was hidden and it looks natural and great. Make sure you have the strips for the part really close together so it looks like its coming from the scalp.

  • @MileSonjazz Thanks Hon. =)

  • Thanks so much for this informative video!!! I just found you and YOU ROCK!!!!! I'm gonna subscribe NOW!!!! I just cut my hair and I'm feeling a little lost without it but hopefully, I can pick up on some of your protective wig styles. One question: Do you sew the hair on after you glue it just like a wig you'd buy at the hair shop or do you just leave it with the glue? I would feel self-consious that with the way I sweat, the tracks would begin to fall down. IS THAT A STUPID QUESTION?? (Smile)!

  • what happen to the shower cap that was showing in the front? did u cut it?

  • @Lynnelovesyou123 no, i pulled it down to make sure the glue doesnt get on my hair

  • i dont know how to do hair but u make it look so easy am going to try that! thanks

  • @4theluvofcandy trust me... it is!!!

  • thanks for this tutorial! I will be trying this soon! By the way, you are gorgeous! Your skin is like whipped chocolate or something...lol

  • How do you break up the curls......with your fingers or a wide tooth comb?? =|

  • @blkasn35 i finger comb... it gives a larger do while preserving the curl

  • This helped me alot! THANKS

  • I like your tutorial the best! Yours looks really nice. Thanks! ^_^

  • @naturalesque81tv aww you welcome Im glad did it

  • I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOVE THIS. I AM GOING TO TRY IT. I have had locs for 2 years now this will ne a great change!

  • I am so glad i found this...i was preparing myself for a protective style for the winter...this will do.

  • @brneyedmama it si bomb when i tell you!!!! LOVE IT

  • I have a question about cutting into layers: do yo lay you head to the side in about a 90 degree angle, and then cut straight across? (I hope that this is not a crazy question, but I don't want my head to look crazy, lol!)

  • @chynagurrlchalise just the way i tilted my head in the vid is just how far u need to go... any further will be uncomfortable for the neck!!!

  • Love the earrings!

  • @laydiiblessyd thank you doll!!

  • Thank you u very much for making this video. Since i stumbleed on your look, i have been trying to figure out to to duplicate your wig. I am soooo happy that you made this video. It help me a lot. Now, i can make my own. Your wigs are beautiful. Continue to be a blessing to those who want to learn. God bless u. Just Awesome.

  • @jayyny1 Aww man that is wonderful to hear!!!! I wanna see it when u done

  • dahlin! its about time u did this tutorial! lol veeeeery well done. im def guna make one dis wkend. i have a suggestion for the closure. u cud do an invisible part on the cap itself & make a slit in the cap where ur natural part is and add combs on each side so it looks a lil more natural or u can use the technique that MakeupMaverick used. either way u still did an excellent job. wen u go to BIM tek nuff pictures! lol

  • @godsgraceandbeauty ohhh hun i will... i had a dream the other nite that i was there and the trip was almost over and i aint take a flick.. OMG ... night mare

  • fab!

  • omgsh. This is so awesome that someone with dreads can change up their style so dramatically. I need to go get me some hair & a wig cap & some blue & try this outtttt. :D

  • Wow, you made that look so easy to do; great job!

  • thanks so much for this!

  • lol, i was so confused for awhile because sometimes i saw you with locs and other times with curls. i never thought it was a wig. :) you look good rocking both styles!

  • great job :)

  • Terrific job!

  • I have loved this look for a while and I think I am finally ready to try it. Thx for a great tutorial! You are soooo pretty! Hope this style looks half as cute on me :)

  • just finished mine and i LOVE IT!!!!!

  • @Number1Suki oooo oooo ooo lemme see!!!! face book me if you have one!!! :)

  • @barbaydian261

i'll get a pic soon...i had to thin it out a bit. I'm short and all that hair made me look like Chaka Khan...lol

  • GREAT JOB:-)!!!!

  • Will be trying this!

    Thanks sis

  • Thanks for yur tutorial mama! I'll do this in fall and let u know how it goes

  • Ok I completely followed the video.....but I'm confused about the part in the middle!! How is your scalp and the part showing without seeing the black wig cap??!! I'm so confused!! :/

  • @blkasn35 the weave is glued onto the wig cap entirely.... instead of wearing it on my hair line... i push it back about an inch and thats where you see the part!!

  • Well what about us short folk ( me, 5'3")? What are we supposed to do? People would be looking down and laughing at my tracks ALL day! Maybe I can wear 5 inch heels when I wear the wig! lol Thanks for the tutorial though!

  • @cohamilton99 lol... i can only do from my stand point.... cant even remember being 5'3

  • @cohamilton99 why not just1) either cut a small slit there and pull a little of your hair thru n add gel so it'll curl( I have natural hair so i curls wen gel/wet. Or

2)cut some hair off of the track n add a glue to the tip of it and place it on the part n the upright position n then finger it to lay to right/left. that way the tracks are covered underneath n it looks like consistently full natural hair :)since it is a thick style and all. pull a lil of ur edges out add gel for natural edge.

  • @cohamilton99

I'm 5' 3" and i use perm rods to make the curls tight together and it hides everything

also if you need to sew a few of the top tracks together....it's works

and i also have some of the front of my hair out....no one knew !!!

  • @Number1Suki sweeeeet you HVE to let me see the out come.....i am close to making a new one now cause im getting scissor happy over here

  • HEY ALL THANKS TO THE COMPLIMENTS ON THE EARRING!!! I HAD THEM FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS NOW AND NEVER WORE THEM!! I CAME UP WITH THE DESIGN FOR THEM AND GOT A FRIEND TO IN LA TO BRING THEM TO LIFE... I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PUT HER ONTO SELLING CERTAIN THINGS AND I WOULD HELP HER IN ANYWAY I CAN BUT SHE DECLINED ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS!! :( THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!

  • I love those earrings...Thanks for the video...

  • Thanks for this! Two questions, 1. Can I use the black wave cap if I am getting a blonde or dark brown hair? 2. What glue did you say you used? Did I miss it because I watched it again and didn't catch it. Also(okay so three questions) how do I cut the back to layer it? Tilt my head back just like the sides or spin it around?

  • @moody2k7us the color of the cap shouldnt matter much since it wouldnt show.. just make sure it is a wig cap and not a wave cap for men... as for the glue just ask for weave glue... i never really paid attentiob to the name before because they are pretty mych all universal and yield the same results! ( clear bottle, black glue with a red cap) and as for trimming the back... in my 3 wigs i did,, i never trimmed the back.. i left it as is!

  • Hey Diva, I've been waiting for this tut for a looong time thanks for pitting it up. love it
