This was the song which inspired me immensely when I was a school boy and had my own little frustrations(which of course looked big at that time).It not only boosted my spirits then but has to date through the years, even in my 60's,has been a great source of inspiration and elation.

A classic example of creativity at its peak in music during 50's-60's era.Excellent 'dhun' by SJ,exceptionally well sung by great Lata Ji and an elegant piece of acting by Kamni Kaushal Ji.

"Poonam" and "Aurat" ( old) were the two movies which had ALL the songs in Lata's voice! This idea was taken up in Amitabh- Jaya Bhaduri;s classic "Abhiman" in which Jaya beconms so popular that all the songs of a movie are offered to her ( none to Amit) by Amitabh's favourite producer and it starts the breakdown of their marriage.

In real life, Lata never married ; no man could have handled the rivalry and clash of egos !
